    Side Note: Body Defense is a tremendously difficult skill to master. Even the pros have a hard time getting solid ups the majority of the time and part of that is because the offense is so good in Roundnet. Either way, practice makes perfect and the only way we'll see players getting better at any skill is through more reps and remaining students of the game. Keep grinding!

    Awesome video! A couple things for people to keep in mind when watching: This video is a compilation of good defensive ups. More than 90% of the time the ball either misses us or doesn't create a good up. It's all about getting yourself into a decent position to create an opportunity. Also, in terms of verbal communication, I yell "UP" every time I touch it so that my partner is looking for the ball (even if it's a bad touch) and then I either say "I GO" or "YOU" for the next touch.

    Is the serving line not 7,5 feet and not 8 from the center of the net ?

    • @GavinBroekema
      @GavinBroekema 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Serving line is 8.5 ft from the center of the net and 7 ft from the rim of a spikeball set. The rule was changed from 6 ft to 7ft serve with a lean in 2021!

    Soft touch rule related question here. I didn´t find the answer anywhere. Do you guys allow to spike right during soft touch? (That would be 1 - 2 - net from one player not involving his team mate what so ever)

    What! Can you touch a ball twice?
