      Aw that's so nice to read. Seems like a great goal for 2022. I used to write music constantly. After college, I got burned out. It's been awhile since that level of inspiration and originality has flowed through me but the piano is really feeling right lately. I would be ok with you crying the whole time haha. That's the greatest compliment! ;)

      @@iximusic That would be so excellent. You'd have an audience waiting for sure. But either way, your channel is the coolest and your song choices are spot on (I don't say "spot on" in real life, but I had fun typing it.)

    This is beautiful ixi. You have a naturally creative heart and it's good to see inspiring people on here as I continue to follow my own path as a musician. I'm really getting into theory now, something I had neglected in my youth. I felt at the time it would take away the intuitiveness of songwriting for me, but I was pretty ignorant of how much studying harmony could have helped my compositions take shape. I spend a lot less time searching for what I want to melodically describe, and that makes the whole process more valuable to me now. I am finally finding my voice again after many years of self-doubt and self-harm. I had a close call with death, and I am determined to create the music that I need to. There is something unique in me. I want to manifest it. I'm sure you feel the same way about your musical journey. Your piano arrangements are very articulate and emotionally charged with rhythmic complexity. I pick up on the nuances of your playing.
    I think what I like about your style the most is its subtlety. You are creating as a painter uses his brush, sometimes directly and accurately and sometimes with just an impression of what is in mind. The dynamic attitude behind your expression is very real, and I hope you have an inspiring day. I hope to hear more of your music soon. Your friend, Ian.

    • @iximusic
      @iximusic  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you Ian, for such a thoughtful response! It takes a nuanced musician to recognize all of that. I hope you create all the music in your heart!

    Alright, moved out of nin and into Bjork!This was about how my progression musically went only throw in some prodigy, orbital,etc and I was into nin and bjork heavily getting intro’d through movie soundtracks.
    I was almost going to ask you about how you listen to nin, as I had to get away from it after a while with my own issues with depression. I still enjoy of some of his newer score’s but not to often do I listen to a nin track anymore. Really nice approach on that cover by the way. Can’t wait to hear what your working on next, a lot of great stuff I’m sure! th-cam.com/video/o2jplo3kpNc/w-d-xo.html

    oh hey, I beg you to go listen to Caligula by Lingua Ignota off screen, the whole album. think you'll really understand it on your own grounds. if you want a way in, by all means listen to one off the new album, one that seems to encapsulate most of that feeling, "PENNSYLVANIA FURNACE". feel free to do that one on camera, but the Caligula album needs to be absorbed personally. (don't read the comments of the Pennsylvania Furnace reaction beforehand if you do, you'll appreciate the first hand experience more.)
    it's such an antithesis of this, yet not. I trust you'll find this recommendation without the usual commentariat nonsense. :)
    edit: missed a parenthesis. :/
    edit 2: should've linked the PF video. th-cam.com/video/7YRMV7ffPpY/w-d-xo.html
    (forgive the dorkiness of the video, the message is unduly powerful)
    edit 3: (the video is actually pretty powerful once you understand the song's messaging. I should stop saying things about it.)
