Don't show them Pacific Rim 2. It's total garbage that ruined the franchise. Pacific Rim is a masterpiece by a genius director. The sequel is a cheap cash grab. There's some other movies by Guillermo Del Toro that are great though. Hellboy (2004) and especially 2 (2008) are great.
Saw this theater when it came out, one of the most entertaining action movie ever made with a perfect soundtrack!
