    Thanks Russ for explaining the panels and layout that are available.
    I never knew where to find the alternate layouts. I thought that I had purchased only 1 layout and the rest would have to be purchased separately, so I never did.
    I'm thinking that computers are simple if you know what to do ... LOL ...
    I'm looking forward to trying the different layouts now. :)

    Russ I would love it if you would do a video on creating a background image for a panel. Complete with cutouts to place the gps pop outs. I haven't been able to find anywhere how to do this. Thanks for all your informative videos.

    Recently purchased the Air Manager and see real potential for using this. I purchased the C172SP pay panel that your video indicated included some plus panels such as one with the GNS530/430. It is suggested that you just need to select next. However, [Next] at the bottom is not there for the pay panels only the basic panels. On the premium panels there is reference to multiple versions but they all look the same. I would really like to work with the version containing the GNS. Has something changed since your Apr video. Appreciate the help. Bill

      Okay I am responding to my own question. I studied Russ' video again carefully and now see that I can select the other panels. I am still ramping up on the logic of how things work in the AM system. No doubt I will have some new questions.

    Awesome video Russ! Would it be possible for you to make a tutorial on how to make a simple gauge of some kind and interface it with X-Plane?

      Peter Storm I did a long four part series on creating the instrument graphics using Skinmsn. The fourth in that series explains how to code the scripts to interface with X-Plane

    Hi Russ, Nice videos on Air Manager. I was wondering what brand and size touch monitor you are using in your home cockpit in the video from five days ago with the extremely thin bezels on the top and sides? Thank-you.

      And do you like it and would you recommend it, or has your touch monitor given you any issues? Thanks again.

      @@jettpiedmont3815 Hi Jett, I am using the 22 inch Planar... it was discounted, and has beautiful color and touch screen is very accurate and easy to set up, actually the speakers sound ok too.. not great, Here is a link: www.amazon.com/Planar-Helium-PCT2235-Resolution-Monitor/dp/B01E06JSI4/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1546838972&sr=8-3&keywords=pct2235

    Hey Russ, the garmin transponder available in air mananger only shows info, it doesn't allow input with buttons. Did you create a fully functional transponder or do you know where i can get one? Thanks.

      Jett Piedmont I have several touch monitors. I suggest a capacitive touch monitor, with good brightness and with a good horizontal viewing range. The edge to edge glass is best. 23” is good, 21” a bit small. I don’t have one but I get good reports about the Dell touch monitor

    Russ, just watched your video, and from the introduction to Ver 3.5 you showed the panel of the Duke you were working on, are you now submitting your recent Duke panel to the community? I have air manager on my laptop as a demo, since the real program is on my simulator computer, I just checked the demo on laptop and was unable to find the recent submitted Duke pane, is this a panel you uploaded while demonstrating in your video, or do you plan to offer to the community in the future? As always your illustrations our very helpful and well received. Thank you for all your creativeness and contribution to AM.

      Rod Pierson the Duke is a project for a personal friend and is made with his specific panel layout. I hope to modify it to match the RW Designs and RealAir panels and make it available. No exact timetable yet.

      @@rbarlow Russ that is great news, thank you , appreciate all your efforts to help the community. I know you have done a couple of you tubes with knobster, I installed air player after upgrading AM 3.5, and they don't seem to be compatible with sir knobster.... when Air Player is running it cancels out the knobster even though it shows it active. When Air Player is closed, the knobster operates fine with Air Manager.

    Hi Russ, I purchased Air Manager 4.0 and downloaded it on my X-plane 11. HOWEVER, I'm having a problem in that I have a note on the bottom right of the screen that says "Searching for flight Sim" Do you have any idea how to connect Air Manager to X=plane 11? I tried turning off the windows firewall.

    • @rbarlow
      @rbarlow  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      First, you need to download both the application(needs to be activated on startup to get all features) AND download the plugin installer. These are all on the main Sim Innovations Wiki page. if you are on a single computer download then both there but if on a network download the plugin installer to the X-Plane computer and the Air Manager app to the computer running your panels. If under the SETTINGS menu the FLIGHT SIMULATOR CONNECTION MODE radio is set to AUTOMATICALLY and it is still searching try manual and if on a single computer select X-Plane and ip address 127.0.0.1. If networked you need to get the X-Plane computer ip address from the network tab in the X-Plane settings.

    There are a few 737NG instruments that I would like to add to my Zibo cockpit, but don't work in Zibo. Are there versions of the NG instruments for Zibo around? If not, Is it hard to modify them to work under Zibo? TY!

    Can I just do the basic 6 instruments only? If so what version should I buy? There are a 65 euros and a 30euros one to choose from. Please help.

    • @rbarlow
      @rbarlow  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The air player app only allows you to play panels that are uploaded from Air Manager. You need to buy a Air Manager and then you can resize replace delete and add as many instruments as you like. There are over 500 instruments in the community free store that you can download and add two panels as you like. You can also create instruments from scratch if you want to get involved with the graphics and programming.

      you have it right...
      In MSFS, by holding RIGHT ALT + LEFT CLICKING some instrumentation panels, these panels will pop out as floating windows that can be moved to a different screen location or different monitor.
