What is the point of the protective films?
Vibrations from the car moving could eventually chip the paint, so the film acts as a buffer.It allows you to have the option of removing the deflector at a later time and have the paint undamaged.

Why do you need a sticker?
It is a warning sticker for closing the hood so you don't damage the deflector.
