@@rickchac I kid you not, in high school during a science fair someone thought it was smart to connect a small solar panel to an LED. The genius never included a battery in the design to store power so for all intensive purposes it was a solar powered flashlight.
You'll once again get the satisfaction of hanging up by violently slamming down the handset compared to violently pressing the end call button on your smartphone when you're pissed off 😆

Bridget is AWESOME. Enough said. And assuming that's her kids, her daughter is just priceless. "WHAT!!!????? You want ME to do all the work? NO WAY!!!!!!" LOL
That's great! I recently bought an old-style handset that plugs into my Lightning port with a coiled cable. It's a bit lighter than the old ones and I think there's something else that's not exactly right because I've found I can't 'shoulder' the receiver like I could on the old phones. I really enjoy it because it feels so much more natural than talking to someone on speakerphone. The banana phone looks like fun, but I just don't have room for something like the Fisher Price phone. In my day that phone was made of wood.
Lol...I thought I'd never see this day😅🤣I'm old enough to know the rotary phone very well .I always pictured my 21 year old son trying to make a call with one of these...hahaha priceless!
imagine getting robbed in your house and The robbers decide to lock you in your child closet thinking that no one could hear you or see you calling for help though the window. Only to have the cops called on them by you using this toy that was left in the closet by your child.
This would be good for when you're a parent of small children and they have their child phone that looks exactly like this and they see you seriously talking on your look-alike. Fun for all. ☺️
I would like to see "kids" sized washing machine, Vacuum cleaners etc that actually work, so children can learn "domestic skills" with play (may require adult sepervision)... Even children's domestic appliances for adults would be great too!
The switch back and fourth to her and her daughter was pretty cool. Like a time travel review. I think that's her daughter and if it is, she can make a new channel by reviewing adult and kid gagets with her and her daughter as one person (as an adult and as a child). That would be a cool channel for families to watch. Of course it has a shelf life, but she could possibly get four years of content out of it.
This is a funny phone. I would totally buy this and make my kids use this phone when they are home and want to use their cell phones. teach them phones are for talking not watching kids youtube and playing games.
I want one..let's see if they can make a jack in the box..pops up when you receive a message or a call when your phone is not near with an included speaker and mic for hands free..
So stupid, I love it. "Hello youth, are you there" 'larious. More hair flips in the next review please. I'm jealous of small children, they can have so much fun off so little drugs and alcohol, like maybe none even, wi-fi/data optional. Solar frisbee, GI Joe with kung fu disinformation debunking, EasyBake microwave convection oven Wi-Fi router Carbon detector, Stretch Armstrong pulse oximeter EKG, etc
You are hysterically awesome. I was a huge fan of Starcom's U.S. Space Force (I still have my membership card). I would love to see them come back. Thank you.
I want one for my office. The staff will get a kick out of it and my boss will be amused. Or I can get one for my nephew as he likes calling me... Choices choices.
Are there any other childhood toys that you would like to see coming back for adults? Let us know!
This has to be one of the BEST reviews CNET has ever done. And your daughter is adorable.
The talking Whiz Kid?
@@rickchac I kid you not, in high school during a science fair someone thought it was smart to connect a small solar panel to an LED. The genius never included a battery in the design to store power so for all intensive purposes it was a solar powered flashlight.
Small motor vehicle for adult?
Electric Big Wheel.
Imagine talking to your wife on this phone because she wants to divorce because she thinks you are too childish
Lmao 😂🤣😂🤣
Could be a bit in a rom-com... nice one.
At least your a kid at ❤️...😆
Best scenario, thank you!
😅😅
Love when Bridget does reviews. Forget everyone else. Let Bridget review everything
This review video is priceless. It's pure evidence that we're never too old for kids' toys after all!
But is it... Fisher-Priceless?
I totally agree
Or books!
You'll once again get the satisfaction of hanging up by violently slamming down the handset compared to violently pressing the end call button on your smartphone when you're pissed off 😆
Yes! 😡
Lol yes!!!
I could never slam Chatter, he's a respected colleague.
Boy, you’re tough on your toy- er, your phones!🙃😄
You beat me to this response. I was waiting for the retro slam down. 😄
FINALLY a budget-friendly phone!
….*smart phone required. Not included*
Nobody can say Bridget doesn't bring personality to her reviews, definitely a credit to CNET (Take note boss)

Chatter: When you think 2021 couldn’t surprise us even more… think again.
This is gonna be worth like 40k in a decade or something
@JCS i will buy all of them and personally make them worth 40k
My favorite thing about the phone is that it says, "love you, bye" ❤ that's adorable
They’ve fully transformed our adults into children….now for phase 2
Yup, my exact thoughts.
🤣
Hush and live a little
Bridget is AWESOME. Enough said. And assuming that's her kids, her daughter is just priceless.
"WHAT!!!????? You want ME to do all the work? NO WAY!!!!!!" LOL
3:45 “it has LTE: let’s talk everywhere technology” lmaoooo

this makes me so happy ☎️
This is THE BEST video I’ve seen in ages
Etch-A-Sketch iPad- It’s a no-brainer!
Never thought I’d see an unboxing video for a 70’s Landline phone/toy 😅 yet here we are. Love the gadget (dare I say), and review!
Was planning to get the Xbox mini fridge, but now I’m reconsidering
90% sold on the phone, 100% sold on the review. 🤣
The fisher price chatter phone has USB C but Apple's phones still use a proprietary connector -_-
Every office should have one
According to one Best Buy it’s all the rage right now for office people.
You know it going to be a good video when you see Bridget crazy eyes in the first 15 seconds.
Lol...I thought I'd never see this day😅🤣I'm old enough to know the rotary phone very well .I always pictured my 21 year old son trying to make a call with one of these...hahaha priceless!
i‘ve had a same toy phone in 1990's! this video bring me back to my childhood!!!
Now we can teach those tictok kids how use a phone. 🤣 I need one. 💚
This product is so funny in concept and execution. The presenter was amazing.

6:56 reminds me of DJ Tanner from the intro of the original Full House
or Sabrina / Melissa Joan Hart
Introducing the all new Eye Phone.
I hope the child product tester was paid well for this difficult gig
Love the combo of good info and Bridget Carey's sense of humor.
I love the satire in this video. I haven't liked a CNET video in years. This is their best video in a very long time.
I’m disappointed that it doesn’t look like the one in Toy Story. That’s the one I remember.
As a child from the 70’s, this is a no brainer……sold..Now I look forward to taking calls on the subway here in NY 😂
Must be one of the best reviews ... So refreshing and hilarious
LOL, that was the best intro ever, definitely had me caught off guard with the ROBO call! Great job on this. Would love to buy one
Wait wait wait... Do you have a *Back To The Future* Hoverboard?!? I think I like you.
I love that little kids have sooo much little kid confidence 🤣
They're back, got one today at my local stores 🤩🤩🤩🤩
Oh Bridget you always put a smile on my face.
I feel like I need this in my life 😂
I would like to see "kids" sized washing machine, Vacuum cleaners etc that actually work, so children can learn "domestic skills" with play (may require adult sepervision)... Even children's domestic appliances for adults would be great too!
I think kids would definitely benefit! Kids want to imitate their parents and feel like people.

this feels so much like an onion video
can't wait for the green man series!
Shut up and take my money.
That’s for my mom and dad. I never used that type of phone that’s way before the 90s.
The Fisher Price record player with bluetooth. But you still have to change the record to change songs or something, that would be pretty cool.
This is a funny phone. I would totally buy this and make my kids use this phone when they are home and want to use their cell phones. teach them phones are for talking not watching kids youtube and playing games.
Fisher-Price nursery-rhyme rolling tv. That would be a blast!
I NEED THIS!!! It would be perfect for my desk at work.
(Too bad my wife said no.)
Enjoy the work you do, Bridget. Looking forward to more gadgets.
can this conmect to a physical telephone line or is it just for mobile phone connection?
It don’t look like the original fisher price phone though.
Great video. Off topic but what is the robot you have on the shelf in the background?
Are you a comedian Bridget? If not you should, you are pretty funny.
I want one..let's see if they can make a jack in the box..pops up when you receive a message or a call when your phone is not near with an included speaker and mic for hands free..
It has "Wheel" Because it's a "Mobile Phone"....LOL.
This and Bridget are such a delight!
Where can I buy this?
this might be my new favorite TH-cam video
Shut up and take my money!!!
Love this idea. Too bad the only actual phone calls I get are scam and cold calls.
Missed opportunity! You could have had the little girl do Liam Neeson's famous "Very Particular Set of Skills" speech from Taken (2008).
Yes. Total chaotic energy. Reminds me of the KFConsole from last year. I want one.
So stupid, I love it.
"Hello youth, are you there" 'larious.

Just found my 72 year old wife her Christmas present..........
This is amazing! Gotta get for my daughter.
It's for adults not kids!! Lol
I just loved your commentary on this subject. The phone is great I can’t wait to get one.
You are hysterically awesome. I was a huge fan of Starcom's U.S. Space Force (I still have my membership card). I would love to see them come back. Thank you.
This is what we need right now!
Oh man! Gotta get one...for myself!
I NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED IT
She should do more unboxing, she is awesome!!!
This is great!
If I wasn't already content with the wireless household standard, id buy one. And i still have memories of owning and using a rotary dial phone.
the cutest review on youtube!
I want one for my office. The staff will get a kick out of it and my boss will be amused. Or I can get one for my nephew as he likes calling me... Choices choices.
This is so unnecessary. I want it.
Girl you are having way too much fun with this one. LOL
The cargo ships lined up at California's ports are all full of fisher price chatter phones.
LTE, because it had wheels 🤣
That realization when the first 6 digits match yours :0
Five year old me would had loved this but I still need this though 😅😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Can it act as a Bluetooth speaker?
Great, now I want one.
Your videos are the best!
@1:09 Bridget daughter is cutee ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Still the best tech journalist out there.
i need one
Hey CNET... more screen time for Bridget please! She's a charm!
The description, lol 😆
Beautiful reviewer 😘
CNET is the best tech channel ❤
CON: your kid calling 911 and it being a real phone 😅🥴
Good Lord I need this immediately!
I liked the part “let’s get you out little buddy “
