We have absolutely loved San Juan. We'd love to come back. We've been to most of the islands and have only said that about one other until our visit here.
@easystreetwithjen for sure! I'm actually on the bus, on the way to a community called Eldorado, I'm going to try a new place called Eldorado coffee corral
@easystreetwithjen got home a little bit ago I'm charging my phone a little then will work on the second one. Thursdays content will be epic, well I hope, lol We're going to the big mall in Albuquerque to do Christmas shopping and I am going to check out a big entertainment center!
Most of the population of Puerto Rico lives here. In San Juan proper, there's about 330,000. In the metro area, about 1M. The population of Puerto Rico is about 3M. It's really beautiful.
@collins48lc You seem to like to complain a lot, Lynne. Are you going to leave nasty comments on all of my videos? 1. The weather is not guesswork for most of us. 2. "1st impression" is just that, a 1st impression. Nothing more and nothing less. Reading and comprehension are fundamental. Have a wonderful holiday, Lynne.
Have you ever heard of Banksey? How about Jean Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, Blade, Shepard Fairey...the list is long. They are/were all graffiti artists. I'd love for cities to have a designated place for graffiti in parks and other street areas like building murals. Just like the impressionist, there's always a critic. Have a great holiday! ♥️ , Fai ,
@@easystreetwithjen ...Exactly the point I wanted to make and you picked up on it. I lived in N.Y.C. from an early age and seeing graffiti sprayed all over the place and on rooftops, on the sides of buildings and subway cars had an impact on me. It was nothing more than an eyesore to me. I understand the artistic side of it but to much of it was not pleasant to look at. I never heard of those artists you mentioned but you are correct that certain areas should be and are used for such artwork. I used to appreciate the artwork (not the graffiti) when it was confined to a huge wall on Crane Street and Jackson Avenue in Long Island City in Queens New York. Modern buildings stand there now and the wall is gone. Regular folks, tourists and art students would come from all over for pictures and to just appreciate the artwork. When it's 'all over the place' (graffiti) it's just awful.
@trkrla5113 Unfortunately, you totally missed my point. They are all graffiti artists. Banksy's most expensive painting is Love Is in the Bin, which sold for $25.4 million at auction in 2021. It was genius!Jean-Michel Basquiat's Untitled (1982) is his highest selling painting, selling for $110.5 million at Sotheby's in New York in 2017. At an auction, the artwork “Untitled (for Cy Twombly)” by Keith Harring was brought in USD 6,537,500, making it the most expensive piece of Haring ever seen. The most ever paid for a Shepard Fairey painting was $112,500 for the piece Arab Woman (2006), which was sold on October 10th, 2018. I bet you'd really hate Outsider art as well, but I absolutely love it. You also missed the point that Monet, Van Gogh, Renoir, Gauguin, and other impressionist artists were basically laughed at and rejected by The Paris Salon for their works of art. Some artists refused to submit their works to the salon because of the harsh criticism or rejection of their submissions. I find it hard to believe that you're from NYC and have never heard of Jean Michel Basquiat. 😲 He and Warhol collaborated on multiple projects.
@@easystreetwithjen ...Heard of Monet, Van Gogh and Warhol and I am ok with mural paintings and artwork. I didn't know that 'reckless graffiti' was considered art. I don't think the masters ever went out on a whim spray painting walls, rooftops and every nook and cranny in between without permission or even a permit.
@trkrla5113 I think "reckless graffiti" artists selling works in the millions is great. I hope Banksey and other artists like him continue to be reckless and as successful for decades to come.
Art deco everywhere, enjoy.

@kimiastewart6293 I can't wait to see what you are up to. Have fun!
I like it. It reminds me of a downtown area 😊. Nice.

Nice...Is it real hot.Or medium hot.
It's 81° 79% humidity, and winds are 11 mph right now. It's very comfortable in December, it seems.
@easystreetwithjen wow nice.
So she knows everything in a couple of days

0:08 No Jen, graffiti is never cool, never. It is blight!
