- James Brown in 1980 back in his hometown Augusta, Georgia, where it all started. The greatest American musician and entertainer bar none, James Brown always was and will forever be the king. Career on the rise again (thanks to a stellar cameo in the Blues Brothers movie), at the dawn of the 1980's Brown was still being hounded by the IRS for 4.5 million dollars and beset by business collapses, but the hardest working man in show business never stopped showing love for his humble roots and folks in his hometown.
“It’s not the fact they call me Mr. Brown, it’s that I have the right to be called that”-wow, dude was insightful🙏
Beautiful interview of the legendary James Brown The Godfather Of Soul.🤎🤎🤎 The king of Soul.
The king of soul was Otis Redding. James Brown is the Godfather of soul. Two different people

Been looking for this interview for a minute.
The media is disgusting. There's no low they wont stoop to when it comes to kicking dirt on black icons.
