This was my second favorite fight, first being you beating Tombstone. Please keep doing these videos. The one thing I think is missing from Battlebots is an episode just for post fight breakdown. Showing all the damage close up, repair the bots for the next fight, going over in detail what happened during the fight like you do in the video. Not sure this is possible since everyone has a short time to get the bot ready for the next fight. But it would be great if it were possible.
Will there be a tale of the tape this season? I hope so! I really like all the teams that get together and review all the episodes in detail. If possible can the audio be corrected, we want to hear everyone both on camera and off please. Loved this fight, the best in recent memory, I hope WD goes all the way! have you looked at brushless for weapon motors? as they appear to become more and more prominent in HW, I know minotaur and hypershock run them on the weapons (and drive for hyper shock). it would help weight wise
We ran brushless weapon motors in season 1. We had issues similar to what Minotaur has faced this season (not quite as bad). You’ll notice that even Hypershock weapon has spin up issues sometimes. The speed controllers for this size brushless motors are still very expensive and require a lot of tweaking, so we decided to go brushed. The startup torque also gives us a faster spin up time. We’re not giving up on it just yet!

Great fight! Matt from Whiplash is without a doubt a great driver. I think Mike is way underrated though and deserves to be included in any discussion about best drivers.
You forget to mention the bit where Witch Doctor was put on its back! I thought Whiplash might have done the impossible comeback when I saw that. Good job on checking that self righter in the end because that could’ve been the fight there and then.

Once I saw your configuration, I realized you guys would have an edge because I remember seeing that Whiplash had a super hard time with Bite Force. My original guess was that Whiplash would win (51/49) and then once I saw your armor and front, I was thinking more 49/51. Easily my favorite main event this season! What is your front wedge made out of, and what about your weapon? I’m trying to build a battlebot and I want to use the best materials, and even though I am already reading a book from team Minotaur on it, I want to get multiple opinions
Josh Josh Don't start with a heavyweight. Materials are very different for low weight classes, but they'll provide plenty of other experience and learning moments.
Algae thanks for the advice! Hobbyweight is the heaviest I can go that is convenient for me to build; there are many factors like experience and money which I do not have. I grew up watching battlebots and building a combat robot no matter what weight class it is has been my dream
I know the re:MARS event was filmed after the main series, but that made Witch Doctor a dark horse. I'm starting to believe you'll win the whole thing - as long as your weapon motor holds up!

Looks like it's just sheet metal, a little thicker than average sheet metal. Corners of the sheets always getting bent up... Bots also getting stuck on the seams. They need a Better Floor...

"....So Bronco missed a few flips and I was like, oh ok, he's just preparing for his big flip, just a few misses. And at the moment Bronco was underneath Free Shipping side pushing him in the corner, I was ready for that big flip. But when he fired that flip, I didn't see Free Shipping flying 12ft in the air and I was a bit confused, did he missed again? And when Bronco turned around, revealing that bent flipper, I was like....."
