    Father Mawdsley,
    I am grateful for your video on the writings about this so called “Divine Will” movement and writings. I have been alarmed lately to see how many otherwise solid, good Catholics going down this path. I can’t help but think of the Pied Piper. I am listening now to some more of your videos. So many concerns on what is happening in both the world and the Catholic Church these days.

    Thank you so much for bringing the question to light. It was well presented. As painful as it is to see what is transpiring, there is a certain comfort in knowing that what we are seeing is not right, meaning many are recognizing and know the teachings of the Church and what we are witnessing does not match up. It has also allowed us the opportunity to put into practice more arduous prayer, fasting and sacrifice for the Pope, the hierarchy, and our priests as well as turning to Our Lady more and more. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us!

    David, great questions!
    Thank you all for addressing this deep concern that many of us are having. I will continue to pray for the salvation of both bishops in Rome, and that we will soon have clarity on who the true pope is. Fr. James, advising that we talk to our priests if we are concerned was very good advice. Thank you!

    We have to raise the question because we are duty bound to be united with the Pope in order to save our souls. I am thankful that we are reminded by the three of you that charity and humility must be first. Yet a part of charity is truth. I hold with Benedict by virtue of Canon Law. I do not think unkindly of those who find otherwise. I love all my fellow faithful Catholics. St. Vincent and St. Catherine backed different men who claimed the Papacy. She was correct but they both are Saints. Neither condemned the other. There is no catechism for this crisis. I agree with these two holy priests.

    • @loulasher
      @loulasher 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I agree especially that we can't react unkindly to those who disagree on this. We didn't create these big questions all on our own. I often say when you're given bad choices you're going to make a bad choice. We have to look beyond and behind those choices to find the good and best choice. Moment to moment we have to live in accordance to God's will. That answer is easy to know but tough to live. If who is the Pope is tough to know then I accept an invincible ignorance of that, while knowing that doesn't detract from every other Truth we know and accept remains unchanged.

    • @carecc7191
      @carecc7191 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      WRONG. No Catholic is "duty bound to hold with the pope." If a pope errs, promotes heresy, we are duty bound to ignore him and to pray for his soul. Years ago, through prayer and study, and listening to faithful, traditional, Marian priests, I learned that the NO hierarchy from John XXIII to the present apostate, Bergolio, comprise a COUNTERFEIT church. The late Frs. Malachi Martin, Nicholas Gruner and Gregory Hesse proved that the NO popes were Modernist heretics. Their words and actions are matters of PUBLIC record. The SPPV priest, Fr. William Jenkins has held this and taught ONLY doctrine, dogma, Sacred Tradition and Holy Writ for decades.

    • @loulasher
      @loulasher 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@carecc7191 The great amount of space between the "WRONG", which is your 1st sentence, and the "If", which starts your 3rd sentence, is the issue the "op", and all of us including yourself, are dealing with. I don't see how your "if" is not an abandonment of your initial declaration of "WRONG".
      Also, please distinguish between what you "learned" and what you've read or heard. A massive error pervasive in all modern society is the idea that learning about something is "learning" it. The best example is the way music is taught in universities. It developed as wealthier people in post "enlightenment" society wanted to be taught about things, in this case music. Prior, music was taught primarily to children, mostly orphan and poor, over many years through training by the Church. The goal was to give these children a beautiful skill that met a need. The need was singers, musicians, and choir directors for churches. After Napolean attacked Rome, that system suffered. Into that void came comfortable people hoping to "learn" what they saw performed by well trained and selected professionals. The system that developed (Roman numeral chord symbols is a part of this) served to teach about music but could never replace or match the system that developed across the previous centuries that relied on singing for years before touching an insrument and the practical training that accompanied it over the maturation of the child. (Haydn being an example, maybe a very late example, of what that system could produce.) Instead we have people being taught about something who have not lived it to actually know it. It's the same system that is teaching about psychology, governance, business or economics, to (at best late-borderline) adolescents and sending them out to practice; as if learning about, from people who don't, is the equal of learning through doing along side those who do.
      We are all learning in very practical ways what happens when people elected in conclaves as Pope do not act in communion with the office of Pope (the legal analogy is when a judge or prosector and really the entire legal system act "under the color of law" while violating the law), as we are learning what happens when the worldly forces flood the seminaries with people who had no intent and were incapable of living up to then job of being a priest, bishop, or cardinal. This learning we're undergoing might be analogous to what had to be learned by the people as the religious authorities in the temple in Jerusalem abandoned God so fully that they refused to recognize Him right there in front of him. Maybe the current need among worldly authorities to change definitions to suit their own needs is similar to the changes made in the "masoritic" writings to hide the Truth from those who then rely on those texts.

      Very well said. I'm a hardliner when it comes to who has the job of preaching and teaching Christs' truth in order to take us into our home for all eternity. As that's what we are on about here - salvation of souls, there is no other dictum! While charity and humility are the cornerstones of being pleasing to Christ, we HAVE to remember who and what we are - a Militant Church! Plain and objective language in truth, guided by Christ's admonition of "ye shall know them by their fruits.." is the both the clue, and remedy, to lay aside the subjective and adopt the objective nature of scripture! This is our armour and strength.
      To me there actually is a catechism for this crisis, but we either ignore, dismiss or condemn its nature: these are approved, decreed Heavenly warnings over hundreds of years, from Holy and declared saints of the Church, as to what we are to do. Quito is the great beginning for our era.

For the sake of our souls we pray to understand what we do not yet know, while pastoring our flocks in humility patience and perseverance, until Our Lord lifts this confusion. The Church has endured trials! For I, through the law, am dead to the law, that I may live to God: with Christ I am nailed to the cross. For I, through the law, am dead to the law, that I may live to God: with Christ I am nailed to the cross. Galatians 2:19

    It distresses me that we need to have this discussion. When I saw the Pope approve of the idol, I was mortified. I am in no way a lesser sinner, however, to see the Pope and other leaders of the church to do and say things I grew up KNOWING it is wrong, to worship and encourage others to accept an idol and to receive the Eucharist with having committed a mortal sin without receiving absolution is against what we know to be wrong. I thank you for this dialogue, will continue to pray for the Pope, the Church, leaders of the church and most especially all our holy priests .

      It is also important to do your homework and most Catholics fail miserably at learning and studying the faith. The late Benedict XVI was a Modernist heretic, an architect of Vatican II, who along with JPII, consecrated most of the heretical Modernist bishops in office today. Many of these men are also sodomites. The books of the late JPII and Benedict XVI are stuffed with heresies and those who READ the Church Doctors, know the DOGMAS and doctrines are not confused in the slightest. I am grateful to the late Frs. Malachi Martin, Gregory Hesse and Nicholas Gruner for revealing the counterfeit Novus Ordo sect decades ago.

      Excerpts from Blessed Mother's Message No. 407 to Father Gobbi, Marian Movement of Priests (on 666 and the 3rd manifestation of Satan in human history): "In this period of time around year 3x666=1998, Freemasonry, assisted by its ecclesiastical form, will succeed in its great design: that of setting up an idol to put in the place of Christ and His Church. A false christ and a false church. Consequently, the statue built in honor of the first beast, to be adored by all the inhabitants of the earth and which will seal with its mark all those who want to buy or sell, is that of the Antichrist. You have thus arrived at the peak of the purification, the great tribulation, and the apostasy. The apostasy will be, as of then, generalized because almost all will follow the false christ and the false church. Then the door will open for the appearance of the man or the very person of the Antichrist.

      I have wanted to enlighten you concerning the pages of the Apocalypse to prepare you with Me for the most painful and decisive part of the great struggle fought out between your Heavenly Mother and all the forces of evil which have been let loose. Take courage! Be strong, My little children. To you befalls the duty, in these difficult years, of remaining faithful to Christ and His Church, putting up with hostility, struggle, and persecution. But you are a precious part of the little flock, which has the task of fighting against and, in the end, conquering the powerful force of the Antichrist. I am forming you all, defending you, and blessing you!"

    When I was a Baptist child, and my Dad wanted to make a point of truth, he'd ask "is the Pope Catholic?" I didn't know really what the Pope did or understand what the Catholic Church is then (we had a little aversion to all things Catholic), but I knew that the Pope is Catholic.
    These last few years, though (I've been a Catholic for 35 years, since I was 21 praise God!) this question of my Dad has come to my mind, and I have to really wonder, IS the Pope Catholic?
    I came into the "novus ordo" Church, not understanding what the TLM was all about, and had conversations with my SSPX Grandma that went nowhere. About 5 years ago, my Parish got a new Associate Priest who was fairly recently ordained. He wore a Cassock and was allowed to celebrate the TLM in the next county. My Grandma died. A couple years after Grandma's passing I absolutely KNEW I must veil because the Blessed Sacrament is all Holy. Then a couple of years later I KNEW I had to kneel to receive Our Lord. It was an absolute certainty and I couldn't NOT. We have a newly-ordained Associate Priest. Sadly he wasn't ordained with the ability to celebrate the TLM!!!!! 😡 What's WRONG with Pope Francis??? Is he a freemason or something? Or is he just a bad Pope? Is someone under him writing in his stead? Does he even know what's being said in his name? Why did he give interviews to that atheist Italian who never takes notes? Why did he mandate the jab??? And I saw a video of the imposter Sr. Lucy. I understand now. And WHAT are the "words odious to Me" in the new Mass that Jesus told to Marie-Julie Jahenny 60 years BEFORE Paul VI and the New Mass???

    Yes I found this very helpful. My stand on Pope Francis is well expressed from the lips of Fr Rodrigues.
    It’s true that in the past, perhaps people didn’t know who the Pope was, but today this is different. We hear what he says, without difficulty. We look for information because we are often without good sermons, parishes, even people to pray with. We feel obliged to find a ‘community’ on the internet. This is another reason why there can be an obsession about Francis.
    Another point is that it matters and could touch the lives of lay people very badly if they were accused of saying the wrong things and tried to use their faith and conscience as a defence A lawyer could say that this is untrue. ‘Your Pope does not believe what you believe!’This is what has happened to the venerable Cardinal Zen in a big way. Certainly it could happen to us especially regarding abortion/vaccines/climate change etc. thank you for all you do in the Immaculate Heart.

    Weak tea & a step forward, at the same time. I'd paraphrase it as "Look at us - we're discussing the question - it should be discussed - but we don't know the answer and who among us can know?" But to know - to reach a certain conclusion - is necessary & valid. You may arrive at the wrong conclusion. But the motive - the fact that you did your best to reach a conclusion - is absolutely right.

    St. Robert Bellarmine:
    “A Pope who is a manifest heretic automatically ceases to be a Pope and head, just as he ceases automatically to be a Christian and a member of the Church. Wherefore, he can be judged and punished by the Church. This is the teaching of all the ancient Fathers who teach that manifest heretics immediately lose all jurisdiction.”
    Wernz-Vidal - Canon Law, 1943
    “Through notorious and openly divulged heresy, the Roman Pontiff, should he fall into heresy, by that very fact(ipso facto) is deemed to be deprived of the power of jurisdiction even before any declaratory judgment by the Church… A Pope who falls into public heresy would cease ipso facto to be a member of the Church; therefore, he would also cease to be head of the Church.” And also: “A doubtful pope is no pope.”
    Catholic Encyclopedia, 1913
    “The Pope himself, if notoriously guilty of heresy, would cease to be Pope because he would cease to be a member of the Church.”
    Pope Innocent III:
    “The Pope should not flatter himself about his power nor should he rashly glory in his honor and high estate, because the less he is judged by man, the more he is judged by God. Still the less can the Roman Pontiff glory because he can be judged by men, or rather, can be shown to be already judged, if for example he should wither away into heresy; because he who does not believe is already judged, In such a case it should be said of him: ‘If salt should lose its savor, it is good for nothing but to be cast out and trampled under foot by men.’”
    Matthaeus Conte a Coronata - Institutiones Iuris Canonici, 1950
    “If indeed such a situation would happen, he (the Roman Pontiff) would, by divine law, fall from office without any sentence, indeed, without even a declaratory one. He who openly professes heresy places himself outside the Church, and it is not likely that Christ would preserve the Primacy of His Church in one so unworthy. Wherefore, if the Roman Pontiff were to profess heresy, before any condemnatory sentence (which would be impossible anyway) he would lose his authority.”
    A. Vermeersch - Epitome Iuris Canonici, 1949
    “At least according to the more common teaching; the Roman Pontiff as a private teacher can fall into manifest heresy. Then, without any declaratory sentence (for the Supreme See is judged by no one), he would automatically (ipso facto) fall from power which he who is no longer a member of the Church is unable to possess.”
    Edward F. Regatillo - Institutiones Iuris Canonici, 1956
    “‘The pope loses office ipso facto because of public heresy.’ This is the more common teaching, because a pope would not be a member of the Church, and hence far less could he be its head.”

No more, no more, no more, making it up as the next Pope thinks.... Francis is going against the very Magisterium my forefathers died for. So, yes, I can have an opinion. I am not braindead. St. Robert Bellarmine clearly stated that a Pope becomes a heretic if he does not uphold the Traditional Magisterium. Stop stripping our duty (not just a right) of the Catachized and Confirmed Laity to defend the Faith. And Priests, before you were a Priest, you were Catachized and Confirmed. You are Soldiers of the Church militant. Defend the Faith. Otherwise, will Christ find Faith when He returns?

Just as the cursed Marxists know that a man in a dress is a man, they don't want to prove that he is a 'woman', they only want to force you say he is a woman, the same sort just want you to acknowledge Jorge as Pope no matter what he does or does not do. Look to the source at what Jorge says himself: he doesn't claim to be the Vicar of Christ only the Bishop of Rome. He does't follow Canon Law making himself a criminal when all he need do is change the law to suit his purpose. He doesn't kneel nor genuflect towards the Blessed Sacrament nor explain why. Finally, when the real Jorge oozes out in anger, he will even strike his sheep with blatant spiritual violent (TC) or even physically strike them like that poor Chinese woman who clasped his hand. I take him at his word and behavior--that's not the Pope.

      "If anyone thus speaks, that the Roman Pontiff has only the office of inspection or direction, but not the full and supreme power of jurisdiction over the universal Church, not only in things which pertain to faith and morals, but also in those which pertain to the discipline and government of the Church spread over the whole world; or, that he possesses only the more important parts, but not the whole plenitude of this supreme power; or that this power of his is not ordinary and immediate, or over the churches altogether and individually, and over the pastors and the faithful altogether and individually: let him be anathema."

    In the writings of Benedict XV there are warnings of one world government and a one world religion. I have often thought that the reason that Cardinal Ratzinger took the name Benedict XVI is because we are living under what Benedict XV warned of. Whether by his own intention or by Divine Inspiration. Pius X and Benedict XV, two great men from the same Era who warned of the errors of our era.
