- John Lombardo was a founding member of 10,000 Maniacs who wrote or co-wrote with Natalie Merchant the first two indie albums that got them signed to Elektra Records. Leaving the band on the cusp of national success John teamed up with the classicaly trained violinest Mary Ramsey who also has an amazing voice.

Actually John Lombardo was a member of 10,000 Maniacs and appears on their 1st EP Human Conflict Number Five & their 1st LP Secrets of the I Ching, which lead to their Elektra Records LP The Wishing Chair. Then he left the band and didn't return till Natalie Merchant left the band.
Actually, the past tense of 'lead' is 'led'.
I too saw this when i was like...13 on sabrina teenage witch....11yrs ago...drove me nuts an i almost bought some albums but i was a poor kid n was aware that the album prolly wouldnt have my kinda songs on it....not normally my type o' music...lol
