Its not really necessary unless u have never been used to non ac rooms in ur whole life... manipal is hot only during the months between feb - april... the rest of the months are realtively moderate and mostly rainly towards the end of the year 😊

Is the climate tooo hot n humid throughout the year? How do you feel about the Non AC room when u consider the climate there. Is it allowed to use a mini cooler or something of that sort?
Hi!! Only block 21 has kitchen space. Yes, u can bring induction, mini cooler and an iron box, but u have to pay separately for keeping them in ur room on a monthly basis. I am not sure about how much u have to pay. Manipal rains a lot, a lot in even semester and is very sunny in the odd semesters...If a person is so used to live in AC rooms all their life, then it is difficult for them in summers without AC. Yea.. some boys hostels are like block 15 , 16 etc.. u can get ac room but it is based on first come first served basis for 1st yrs.. so book ur room as soon as portal opens after your admissions
How is the first year hostel rooms? Do boys also have the same common area or these type of rooms are just given to the girls only.. And what are the block choices given to the boys joining mit
This type of blocks are available for boys also. The hostel rooms are decent and are cleaned regularly. Am not sure about the block choices given to the 1st years but the choices definitely includes the type of block shown in the video. For the 1st years, it is given on first come first served basis. There are other old blocks too with double and triple sharing rooms .
Different hostels have different fee structure depending on the type of room you choose. You can check it out in hostel.manipal.edu Food exp will be around 60k per year and you can pay it on monthly basis

There are wide range of scholarships available for students depending on category and their academic performance. You can apply for scholarships after your admission is confirmed. The portal will be open or you have to come to the main office to apply for scholarships with your proof and ID.

@@namanmaheshwari7623 It depends on your social class and your exam performance in each academic year.Maximum of 10 to 20% of academic fee is deducted per year after so much consultation since there is so much competition for scholarships.
