Quick video showing how to replace and change the engine oil and filter on my 2010 Acura TSX. Applies to 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 model ranges.

What type of oil do you use for your 2010 TSX? I have the same vehicle. And I think they used synthetic at first but then the last time I’ve gotten oil change I think they used regular oil… I’m due for another oil change but I want to make sure they put decent oil in to make my car last longer 🤷‍♀️

Pro tip take a screwdriver and bust a hole through the filter after draining the oil and replacing the bolt. If you don't have a tool and the teen at jiffy lube used a torque wrench to put on the filter use a hammer and screwdriver punch it through the side and remove.

Thanks boss. I was changing the oil on the wife’s car and for fcks sake, the filter was NOT coming off. Had to find a video to make sure I wasn’t losing my mind and tightening when I should have been loosening (I was loosening. Problem being is the place she when to gave it 69 ugga uggas). Whew. I feel so much better now.

What type of oil should you be using for the Acura TSX 2010 model? Whenever I take my card of these quick lube‘s or a Valvoline they seem to be putting in whatever they feel like and they didn’t leave me a sticker so that I could know what type of oil was last used but I’m due for an oil change and I don’t wanna fuck my car up 🤷‍♀️

my accord/tsx is a weird one, on the steering wheel, screen and engine its badged as a honda, but on the bumper, wagon door and wheels, its badged as an accura tsx. the stereo and voiceover lady thing is all in japanese. if I google which oil to use in an 09 accord, it says 5w-20/30. if I google which to use in an acura tsx, it says 0w-20. confusing

I have a 2013 Acura tsx I put to much oil in it. I took it to have a oil change and filter change the next day. It pass the diagnostic for the time begin. The mechanic told me to watch it for two weeks and not to drive it hard I may have a bad motor now 😣any advice?

Isn't the oil supposed to be 5w20? Have you noticed any issues with 0w20

I would suggest to stick with 5w20. If your car had vtec, you can run into issues running the wrong weight. But generally, you won't run into issues with cars that don't have cam timing kind of stuff

Running Coyote I have a 2012 , 0w-20 is the oil recommended from factory for the second gen , I use it in mine and it is a beauty

@HH-gv8mx The oil type is on the sticker label on the driver side door post near the latch, also has the tire pressures, weight, and body/trim paint colors.

Do you go by the maintenance minder or do you change before? Do you use extended mileage Mobil 1? Mobil 1 extended is the only oil guaranteed by Mobil 1 out of their line to go 10k miles. 10k is when the maintenance minder goes to zero percent oil life.

I go by the maintenance minder. My light comes on every 5~6k miles with a code to change the oil. I don't use the extended.

I have yellow bulbs in my fog, no tints. The bulbs are PIAA Plasma Ion Yellow H11 bulbs. You can order the fog light glass from a online Honda/ Acura dealer like acura.bernardiparts
