Claire is so precious and I love it when Jon becomes uber competitive. His behavior reminds me of a guy who's way too happy he got someone with the "What's Updog?" joke
I've only seen a few MaTN videos, and none with Claire, but I started rooting for Claire pretty quickly. (Maybe when Jon tried to get Napoleon to go all Animal Farm on Claire's restaurant.)
I know Claire probably can't play video games every day but it would be nice to see some sort of playthrough of a game with her like sacred, fable, minecraft and lego games.
What a weird spot on the competitive spectrum. Almost no matter what pigs are doing, the wolf will lose at the very least 1q and 1r. And no matter what wolf's doing, majority of options will also make him lose 2q _on average_ even when you choose the sensible options(growing them instead of shrinking the food is just as sensible, but who could've known that the shrink gun is actually small when there's such a variety of designs?). It's "almost" like the -lack of- balance is heavily tipped towards the pigs.
I think the game seems a little thrown together. The writing is spotty at times (I lost count of the amount of times the writing talked about an event takes a couple of days even though each event is supposed to only be a single day.) and the overall idea that the pigs can do all of this stuff without the Wolf being aware and taking countermeasures is a bit silly (the whole working in the restaurant thing, etc). I am curious though as to why it's on Steam. From everything we've seen it seems like a really good game for young kids, especially as something that can be played with parents, parents would naturally be the 'Wolf'. I definitely think they're missing out on quite a lot of money by not putting it out on iOS.
Well, it's not like many more people would even know about its existence _or_ even bought it if it was on the show-off platform. Apple products are associated with/bought by/for: a)rich and/or spoiled kids - these definitely wouldn't be interested in this over their favorite pointless endless runners; b)people who don't mind throwing their money away for a brand product to show-off - there aren't that many of them, they're usually people of wealth and they don't really care for games. Thus the devs wouldn't earn more there than on a huge bazaar that isn't restricted to those who fancy overpriced flimsy pieces of white plastic and equally overpriced products associated with them. Unless it's free. But if it is, then it's entirely their choise.
David Spencer It makes sense for a single player mode, yes. But this is multiplayer. It should be balanced differently to begin with if it is to be enjoyed by both sides. Players who know how op pigs are will just drive the wolf into the dirt unless there are equally op options _for_ the wolf, and noob wolf will just drive _himself_ into the dirt(see: Claire) unless he either knows his cooking, knows pretty much everything about running a restaurant in this particular setting, or is just lucky, because the majority of options are fail traps with very vague descriptions that make one think that they might actually not be fail options.
I like how, under the article title, in 'The Daily Wolf' it just says 'very tiny title here look'. Cinemasins would have a field day with that newspaper.
Okay I think the ending there really leaves a "victor" up in the air considering certain things happened and yet certain things never happened. That being said the "choose your character" screen shown at the end there with the wolf showing "2 cups of snark, 1/2 spoon of brawl, 3oz foolishness" and the pigs with "3 cps of quick wit, 10 oz stubbornness, 8 1/2 cups of grudge" this has become a very capable re-imagining of Claire and Jon considering their respective characters.
"Well little piggies, I've got good news and bad news. The good news is his quality is so bad, it's almost zero. The bad news is, he did all your work for you. You guys are so bad at your job, that he had to do it for you. You three are being kicked out of the Sabotage Institute. And I do kicked out." *Kick, Boot, Fling* "And stay out"
This video is so great, pushing the like button is an inadequate expression of how amazing Jon was Role Playing in this video, and how amazing Claire is for putting up with his nonsense.
Claire's back and actually playing. Woot! Strong or mild are not flavours Jon, they are strengths of flavour... Honestly! Infamy, infamy they've all got it infamy. "Spices and herbs are different Jon" "Are they really?!?" I love it when Jon learns a fact that most people his age have known for half their lives! Or anyone else for that matter, but it's particularly entertaining when it's Jon :-) I hope more of the multiplayer coming up is co-op so there is less smug!
Not only is The Daily Wolf spouting utter codswallop, it costs two bloody quid! Which newspaper in the modern age costs two sodding quid?! Sod that, I've got better things to spend 2 bob on than that tripe!
Claire just can't keep up with Jon's anti-anti-pig jokes. She seems like she'd be plenty competent at comedic jabs in a typical situation, but she just keeps stumbling into her deep-set aniporcism. (Though Jon _definitely_ loses points for proposing an anti-wolf tax.)
Laughing uncontrollably as your partner fails in maintaining quality of a resturaunt in a video game and heckling them the entire time. This is true love.
I would like to see you two play this again, but with the roles reversed. We could see more decisions, outcomes and - of course - the mysterious Chaos Cannon!
A resounding victory for Claire, because, with all those restaurants selling convenience food to the hungry masses, I bet they're getting through an awful lot of bacon... 🤣
Yeah PR miscommunications happen all the time He was probably just checking why little red riding hood was traveling through the woods with no adult supervision and then she got spooked and made up some story Happens all the time
Claire clearly won this one - Instead of one restaurant serving high quality pork cutlets she is running a national chain selling pulled pork and bacon. ;)
The ending felt a bit weird to me. Like it makes sense 'cause he's not broke, decent rep and not gourmet, but epilogue favoured the Wolf a lot more than I expected. I guess it's because the nobody got the complete win condition, whatever. Question for whoever: Help identifying a game like this. It had up to I think four players in a hot seat taking turns building aspects of their characters in a medieval fantasy city which is doomed, then delegating characters into roles to try and rebuild. Thought it was called Yahweg but that's returning none of the results I want. Any help?
Claire must be a saint in real life. Otherwise I can't explain why Jon is still alive.
instablaster...
Claire is so precious and I love it when Jon becomes uber competitive. His behavior reminds me of a guy who's way too happy he got someone with the "What's Updog?" joke
Is it telling that as soon as I saw Jon vs Claire, I started cheering for Claire?
nope, I think we are/were all hoping she wins
Anthony Clark i was hoping jon would win
I've only seen a few MaTN videos, and none with Claire, but I started rooting for Claire pretty quickly. (Maybe when Jon tried to get Napoleon to go all Animal Farm on Claire's restaurant.)
I like Jon better
Claire is French, so obviously I want Claire to win because France is better than the UK.
Yes, clair is in way too little videos outside of streams, we need more of this.
She'll be making a few appearances in videos coming up :)
fuck yeah we need more of her
I know Claire probably can't play video games every day but it would be nice to see some sort of playthrough of a game with her like sacred, fable, minecraft and lego games.
Are you calling for a Mandatory Monthly Claire scenario ?
It sounds like you are.
:-)
wait you stream?
I think Claire's terrible restaurant needs a visit from Gordon HAMsay! ...I'll see myself out xD
5 MATN Points for you.
Lucky bastard
What are those points for?
i love that xD
Always love it when Claire is here
Claire truly has the patience of a saint this episode.
I feel like we've seen Jon's incredibly evil side here.
Jon one of my favourite things you do is pull the "claire is evil" thing, it's hilarious how you rant at her
The amount of salt in this is already so damn high!

Yayyyy Jon vs Claire shenanigans! "Cancer Bacon"
I like how, under the article title, in 'The Daily Wolf' it just says 'very tiny title here look'. Cinemasins would have a field day with that newspaper.

I guess you could say she didn't 'Claire' about her restraunt
Turtle Gaming well done
Get out.
Kill me now
JON VS CLAIRE WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
i might be a bit too excited about this
BlazingBoar It could make a good series...
Many A True Competition?
Minsc And Boo yes please
JonNerd versus Claire JonNerd versus Claire everybody wants to see this happen JonNerd versus Claire
Or anyone else for that matter, but it's particularly entertaining when it's Jon :-)

Patrick Jackson spices and herbs are different? How so?
Day Ja Herbs are leaves and stems. Spices are seeds and roots.
"Our cousins at the manor farm"
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY
Claire doesnt want pigs in her resturant becuase she doesnt want to be known as the wolf that lets pigs eat pigs in her resturant
Play again with switched roles, lets see how you do running thw restaurant.
The Daily Wolf:
"Claire's dreams were dashed by the monstrous Jon, but she quickly smothered her sorrow with lots and lots of money."
'Claire is more of the foodie one'... Really, Jon? What about your anniversary videos?
You mean the ones where he has to ask her for help because he doesn't know what to do?
Splox5 FAKE NEWS
Literally the end screen video shows how completely useless Jon is compared to Claire as far as food
The man is a box of eggs how can you be more foodie than that
I'd say the rove pretty conclusively that Claire is more of a foodie.
"It's just well intentioned racism. " is the gem from this episode.
Not only is The Daily Wolf spouting utter codswallop, it costs two bloody quid! Which newspaper in the modern age costs two sodding quid?! Sod that, I've got better things to spend 2 bob on than that tripe!
BGM Reviews Easy there, John Constantine. Papers here are easily 2 quid, if not double.
~ TDG
BGM Reviews Also, it's dollars, which is a good 20 p cheaper per dollar, currently.
~ TDG
Claire is literally just a female jon
Pah. She wishes.
Many A True Nerd No she does not have such a horrible disrespect for the nuances of cheese.
The amazing irony there being there are far more English cheese varieties than French ones.
The fact she said Hello claire literally confirms this lmao
Laughing uncontrollably as your partner fails in maintaining quality of a resturaunt in a video game and heckling them the entire time. This is true love.
One of my favourite videos so far, thank you Jon
This game is clearly weighted against the wolf!
Yeah, iut is
I would like to see you two play this again, but with the roles reversed. We could see more decisions, outcomes and - of course - the mysterious Chaos Cannon!
Jon: "Screw flippin' you."
Me: "Now that's love." XD
I love you two playing together so much!! Must see more of this pls!!!
Claire, how long did Jon sleep on the couch after this was filmed?
I was watching the channel when this came out, how have I left it so long to watch this gem?
Can't believe I had missed this, glad I catched up. I just love Claire. Bring her more often to the channel.
Now do it again, but reverse the roles.
These episodes with Claire are super entertaining, I hope to see more in the future :3
Jon would be a perfect politician because he is making arguments that he has no evidence for and only has speculation evidence
We need a reverse rematch of this.
Wait. The pigs have a cousin named Napoleon? Animal Farm reference? Maybe?
Yeah, Michelin Stars only go up to three.
But, SWEET! More Jon V Claire please!
Your voices/accent were made for this job! A real pleasure to follow you! Viva l'angleterre! (if I aint mistaken).
Yay! More Claire, please and thank you! She's fun. 😊
JON VS CLAIRE
JON VS CLAIRE
EVERYBODY WANTS TO SEE THIS HAPPEN
The banter was brilliant. More Claire please.
OHHHH... for a minute there I thought this was like your fallout choose your own adventure you did and I was waiting for the annotations to pop up...
Generic cheeses that come in strong or mild? You truly are a monster, Jon.
This is a great idea, surprised it hasn't been done before!
Who else got that Gus Fiore's "Restaurants, Taverns, & Bars" is basically Guy Fieri's "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives"
Napolean: Flashbacks to GCSE Animal Farm - "Four Legs Good, Two Legs Bad"
Why isn't Thomas in this?
Yeah why am I not in it?
I would love to see more "matches" of this in future!
Love the Animal Farm reference by naming one of the pigs Napoleon
Please do more of this it was awesome
MORE OF THIS PLEASE!
If you enjoyed doing this, I also recommend the Yawgh. It's the same style of game, but more depressing.
Taking Napolean to the bar? Well, I'm sure he didn't drink _to_ _excess._
More of this please
For a similar, though not quite as 'competetive', you two should try out "The Yawg" on the channel!
This video made me a believer in fake news
YAY Claire.
I bet Claire was disappointed with the pork-uality of her restaurant.
Loved it. You both have great chemistry playing this game. i hope you play another round together.
Love the animal farm references
3 years when will there be a part 2?
I want to see them do this again but switched roles - Claire as the pigs, Jon as the wolf
New channel banner. "No pigs, no Irish" Jon 2017
Sorry Jon, but Claire is a far superior comedian.
Time to rethink jobs.
A resounding victory for Claire, because, with all those restaurants selling convenience food to the hungry masses, I bet they're getting through an awful lot of bacon... 🤣
Jon, you're a little TOO good at playing the part of a Hatemonger.
The daily Wolf is the animal version of the daily mail
Yeah PR miscommunications happen all the time
He was probably just checking why little red riding hood was traveling through the woods with no adult supervision and then she got spooked and made up some story
Happens all the time
I'd like to ask what accent Jon and Claire have. i.e. which area of the uk they're accents come from.
I am in love with Claire's voice , she sounds so angelic ❤️
You´re awesome
Laughed the whole time
Love to see more of Claire on the channel :)
Gus Fiore, Restaurants, Taverns, and Bars
Guy Fiere, Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives
The similarities are uncanny.
Now we have to get a video where Claire is the piggies and Jon is the wolf.
I love this please do more
Claire clearly won this one - Instead of one restaurant serving high quality pork cutlets she is running a national chain selling pulled pork and bacon. ;)
A Game of Restaurants
NO PIGS NO IRISH!
Somthing just creaks me up about that statemenrt.
Man the wolf is totally capable of cooking but the pigs are just terrorizing the poor wolf
Jon and Claire play horror games needs to be a regular thing!
a pig named Napoleon... cheeky Animal Farm reference, game. +1 point.
These are Ratatouille Michelin Stars, seeing as Gusteaux somehow managed to get 5 of those.
the most hilarious series ever
I reziled how many animal farm references this had.
Jon proofed again that he knows nothing about cooking.
Salt is essential
And a Wolf's restaurant needs meat for obvious reason
Jon: Say hello bread.
Bread: Hello Bread.
Am I the only one that wants this in reverse now? Jon as the wolf and Claire as the pigs?
does anyone else get the animal farm reference to manor farm and the pigs cousins
This whole pig, wolf feud is complex I hear Jeremy Batsman is covering this at 7
Jon must make Imperial Por-Ducken for the next anniversary video!!!
manor farm, napoleon, this game has too many animal farm references to be just a fairy tale simulator.
Thought it was called Yahweg but that's returning none of the results I want. Any help?
5 bucks she mops the floor with jon and thanks to -1 perception he wont even see it coming
I was rooting for the Wolf every step of the way. I love canines.
"No pigs. No Irish." Lmfao.
