A great interview! I just wish Jason was allowing Peter to talk a little bit more. Even though I really enjoy Jason's opinion, this was my chance to listen to Peter and I kind of wanted more of him.
Best trader to trader interview I've seen. I've traded futures since 1977, the last several years only my own money. I subscribe to Peter and Jason and was looking forward to seeing this video - I was not disappointed! Thank you both!
This is so real talk. I'm glad I read Wizard market books 2 years ago. I'm glad I still keep my morning job, which I enjoy doing, I still trade on the side, which gets me a chance of learning the market as a new trader. The only way you learn trading is to teach yourself and to go through mistakes, and to find what works for yourself. This is why trading is so hard. You need to teach yourself how to trade. Like i am a maintenance worker, i learned from my senior and my supervisor, in trading, you can't really do that.Listening to what other greater traders have common also help a lot. That's a good thing
Amazing. Shapiro and Brandt on a call, trader to trader. Still 1/4 in but I have a feeling this is the best interview on this channel. Also Jason, I’m sure I speak for others when I say I would love to listen to an interview with Linda Raschke or Amrit Sall! Just a suggestion, I think you’ll enjoy it too
Amazing conversation between two very seasoned professionals. Jason, special hats off to you, for allowing Peter to take control of the interview/questions at some points - no ego. Again, masters at play.
Contrary to many comments here I think it was great that you were not only asking questions, but also shared your experiences Jason and kept active throughout the conversation. For those that don't understand - this is not an interview of a trader by a journalist - it's a chat between two successful traders that love what they do.
Unbelievable! I have the "Market Wizards" bookmark at the "Bruce Kovner chapter", and the edge of the page folded where the trader states : " If you applied yourself, great things could happen. If you take a position and use discipline, you can actually make it." Thank you for the great interview, gentlemen.
Really appreciated this interview for aspiring traders like myself. This is gold especially since I have been struggling for 7 years, not profitable. Try not to take it like a hobby. Just not find me my groove. Appreciate this interview.
Hearing Jason express his 10 years of dues until successful made me feel alot better about myself. I'm 7 in ..I eat sleep and breathe this lifestyle ......anyone can make money but as he said its about not losing money.......thanks Jason !
As a hunter gatherer, I can’t imagine retiring from the survival plight. Trade entry is consuming to a newer traders. Exits are the key to growth, entries should be a technical decision based on metric you establish . Humans want to know right away they were right (secure). It’s part of the emotional side we need to control. Trading to me is an alchemy of data and goes counter to all our instincts of survival.
Fantastic! It was great listening to you guys! Love that we now get to listen in on these conversations because of the Wizard books. The butterfuly effect in action: Jack Schwager has an idea for a book, writes it and it's successful, writes a series of books because of that initial success, interviews both of you for a follow-up book, and here we are, decades later enjoying the wisdom of long-term trading from two of the best !! Thank you for your insights.
Step 1, Start your own paid VIP group. Step 2, Make your investors feel like they own their mistakes while they are paying you. That's how it's done. You're welcome. BTW Peter is a savage, and that's a compliment.
Thanks for putting a career in trading into perspective. Had some rough trades lately but it's good to know that's not unusual even for the long time pro's.
You ARE giving back with your stuff here and on X. Thanks. Of the myriad of bullshitters out there, I have learnt... the hard way.. and settled on listening to you and 2 others. My own instincts were actually okay until I started listening to the wrong stuff. Still building a process, but slowly getting there.
I have never looked at the 80/20 rule from a loss perspective only as a profit guide. However it only took a couple of large losses to wipe me out…. A few times.
Fantastic chat between 2 legendary traders! Anyone knows who’s the 3rd chapter trader they were talking about? I’ve the book but mine is Richard Bargh…
Peter I heard the part where you said your living in Minnesota! I live in Roseville, I am 33 years old and been trading for 7 years and just started working for a Proprietary Trading firm in February. If your ever free it would be an honor to buy you lunch sometime.
Thanks for having Peter Brandt on but Jason you talked to much. I wanted to hear what Peter's thoughts were not yours even though you claim they are the same..
Who is interviewing who? This is such a DUMB interview --- if Shapiro wants to just yap away, go make a monologue podcast! Why bother call anyone to an interview, if you are not going to let them talk! Bah... lame!

Amrit Sall would be amazing

Amazing interview. Thanks Peter for asking right questions and thanks Jason for being a guest on your show. Loved it.
Really appreciated this interview for aspiring traders like myself. This is gold especially since I have been struggling for 7 years, not profitable. Try not to take it like a hobby. Just not find me my groove. Appreciate this interview.

Learning the value of the "Risk of Ruin" is the only way to keep yourself in check. Self Discipline is a must.
Very enjoyable when two legends are talking. I will watch it again many times in the coming days. A lot of useful information on it. Thanks a lot.
Love how successful people are usually very curious, he was genuinely curious of u as much as u him
Fantastic chat! I just wished Peter would have had more time to talk. Thank you both.
This was a fantastic conversation. Thank you

"I'm too frickin' old to do something else...", motivation at another level.
It's a curiosity that great traders like these 2 are, dispassionate about their trades but passionate about trading and markets.

47:30 - probably the most important nugget of the entire interview 😄
Quality conversation and insights as usual, thank you both!
Jason's main theme: Risk/Reward.
This interview is gold.
This channel is really worth the sub
Great interview Jason, best I have heard for a long time about the realities of Trading. 🙂
Step 1, Start your own paid VIP group. Step 2, Make your investors feel like they own their mistakes while they are paying you. That's how it's done. You're welcome. BTW Peter is a savage, and that's a compliment.
2 legends together ❤
Thank you Jason and Peter!
Big thumbs up before I even have to listen 👍👍
Enjoyed the no BS straight talk.
What a great talk! Very inspiring! Thank you Jason
Best interview I've ever seen.
Two of the best! Thank you for all you do.
Great show many thanks guys
Brilliant Jason thank you both❤
Thanks Jason best interview...
Thanks for putting a career in trading into perspective. Had some rough trades lately but it's good to know that's not unusual even for the long time pro's.
Massive respect for Peter
Great Video!!
Love the interview.
Absolutely brilliant!
Should be on Spotify. TH-cam kinda sucks
This would be great

Great interview, thank you for this wisdom. Pat Walker might be a good person to get on, he also comes from a psychology background.
Very interesting video.
Thank you! True wisdom
Hi Jason, you said when wrong you get stopped out. When right do you move your stop? If no, why, if yes, when?
I have never looked at the 80/20 rule from a loss perspective only as a profit guide. However it only took a couple of large losses to wipe me out…. A few times.
Спасибо Джексон и Петер, за классное видео!
This is Pure Gold
Fantastic chat between 2 legendary traders! Anyone knows who’s the 3rd chapter trader they were talking about? I’ve the book but mine is Richard Bargh…
Great interview. Maybe you can interview David Ryan in the future? He was also in market wizards series
Honest talkers
I can relate to a lot of what is said here, trading on my own for some years. I'm new in my career but it all sounds like my experience so far.
Respectfully, an interview means you talk less than the interviewee, and ask questions rather than making points all the time.
Loved it!
Peter I heard the part where you said your living in Minnesota! I live in Roseville, I am 33 years old and been trading for 7 years and just started working for a Proprietary Trading firm in February.
If your ever free it would be an honor to buy you lunch sometime.
Trading: if it's not the hardest thing you've ever done, you're not doing it right
I need a mentor Jason.
I really want to trade for a living but I’m completely alone in this situation.
Why is Jason's heating perenially broken?
I love when people think they are some sort of production company and get these terrible pre show host BS.
Your igo got ahead of your asking questions and listening.
Speaking of soybeans cot looks ready
Love the cheesy intro music.
Thanks for having Peter Brandt on but Jason you talked to much. I wanted to hear what Peter's thoughts were not yours even though you claim they are the same..
my bad. i tried, but we will speak to him again. remember this is all unscripted.
Shut up and let Peter talk
So rude that for half of the interview Jason is not even looking at Peter
Enjoy the old stories, dont stop it...hearing less and less of it.
Too much wizardry here.
Fifteen minutes in and nothing useful said. Jason does talk too much.
Who is interviewing who? This is such a DUMB interview --- if Shapiro wants to just yap away, go make a monologue podcast! Why bother call anyone to an interview, if you are not going to let them talk! Bah... lame!
