Thanks for the content. Looking forward to that period correct "handfasting" video. You two were made for each other. 😊
I love the little wheelbarrow Ron has to transport the firewood! I actually built one very similar to it when I was worked building sheds. It was so much work to lug the lumber from my trailer on the road to the backyard of people's homes by hand (by myself I must add) so I got creative with the 2 x 3 poles that the lumber was shipped on thankfully I had saved up quite a few from multiple jobs stacking some that I screwed together before sawing it into a rough circle shape and using a few others to make the same wide H shape with an L foot to rest lumber on just the same way Ron's is put together crazy how a simple design can kinda transcend as the best way to resolve an issue without plans being taught or anything
Very nice courting scene--showing him what she can do! One observation--I *think* he would have poured the water to wash his hands, not wash them in the bucket, because someone else might use that for drinking.
I was thinking the same thing. Like dude, shouldn't you dump that left over water out after putting your dirty hands in it? They use that water for drinking too...
I could watch this like a tv series!!! I so wish you'd start making a weekly series of sorts following your daily lives and others of this time. I LOVE IT!!!
I also began reeling in my wonderful husband of 39 years by feeding him! Still feeding him and he claims he loves every meal I set before him. My darling sweetheart after all these years.
If you're using open fires, all your clothes will reek of wood smoke indefinitely. With wood stoves, not as much. I personally find the smell pleasant. None of the stuff I've burned ever smelled like cigarettes, or coal.
How could he not take her gently in his arms when she said all those things about waiting for his birthday and how she misses him and how she wore her best dress on that day? My brow furrows.

yeah we start a petion in the comments saying we would watch it and maybe someone will see it of i could recrute my siblings
I think I would like to be in that show but in real life.
This was too cute! I'm currently going through my genealogy and so far in as far back as someone born in 1698 on my mom's side. Your channel helps me paint a picture in my head of how my ancestors lived their lives. 😀
Yes. Adding ancestors to my family tree is almost like transporting myself back to that time; especially when people have uploaded letters and stories from their ancestors. I've made the most unbelievable discoveries. How about you?
This was adorable, the courtship of the old days .I wish it was still this way
I have watched this several times. Just love your love story❤
Ahh, the 1820s mixed-signals 'courtship' situation. He was flirting previously now he's pretending to not notice she's getting sweet on him? LOL
Alot of men aren't smart when it comes to women.....my husband had no idea I had him in my clutches
@@suburbcinderella I think it's because many women play coy.
Me.... I'm way too obvious unfortunately haha
Such a wholesome video!
I often live in the past…at least in my head. 😉 And this time period is my absolute favorite. Thank you for making this!
I’d watch a whole series of this, and then some!!
LOL...this is not a good time period to be alive in. The War of 1812 just happen and the Civil War is coming up. Any sons they would have had would be fighting in the Civil War and probably would have died. Oh and there is a thing call SLAVERY that was very much alive and functioning during this time period.
Yeh it was all wholesome until the turned the cameras off, and Ron made his move.
I enjoyed the story .also how she handled the removal of the heavy pot lid with all the cinders, that takes skill
And oh that cooked chicken looked so delicious and perfectly cooked ,
Ps I am dreaming of how delicious the chicken . (lucky-woodman to have a caring girl like that !)

This is so cute in so many ways. I noticed since Ron came around she spends way more attention her appearance. I hope Justine has better luck enticing him with food then I did with my first love. I'm known to be an excellent cook but evidently not enough to make him hang around after the meal was over, 🤭 you go girl!
Am I the only who thinks this woman is extremely beautiful? There’s something homely about her too that I’m unable to put into words.
No prayer before a meal? I think someone overlooked that detail.
Otherwise excellent. Keep them coming.
I need to make one of those for hauling firewood to the house. That’s pretty cool. I’m really enjoying these video’s. Thank you so much.
Not sure why your channel was recommended to me, but I'm glad because I can't stop watching these videos. Really nice, fun people showing great food and life from a cool time in history. Thanks for the content. Looking forward to that period correct "handfasting" video. You two were made for each other. 😊
Yes winning over a man with your "cookies" and your "secret ingredient!"
You two are adorable 💖
Omg she is so cuuuuutteee!!! “What kind of maid do you take me for!?” 😆☺️
I love her dress! I could get behind wearing that style every day! 😊 I hope you get your man!
As a man , in my opinion, women look very nice in long dresses.
Chicken must be the “go to” dish when trying to woo a man! LOL! I remember the first meal I cooked for my husband was chicken parmesan.
Prince Harry proposed to Meghan Markle when they were cooking chicken. It works!! 😂
I love this! History is my passion and this makes me happy. Thank you for your wonderful and unique content. 😊
The sundial bit was hilarious! Especially the look back gag to see if it had changed yet.
Comedy gold!
I knew Justine had a thing for the woodcutter, pretty sure he likes her back! This is the best thing on here!
The gratitude, kindness and service to others and lack of entitlement is what gets me
This is what I have been dreaming for years but you guys made it, lots of love from Arabia
I can't imagine the prep and practice you all go through for this. Really amazing. Also surprised there are no wood jokes. but we can skip those.
I also began reeling in my wonderful husband of 39 years by feeding him! Still feeding him and he claims he loves every meal I set before him. My darling sweetheart after all these years.
I imagine everyone's clothes and hair smelled of burning wood.
I guess that'd be better than the BO they surely had on them all the time lol
If you're using open fires, all your clothes will reek of wood smoke indefinitely. With wood stoves, not as much. I personally find the smell pleasant. None of the stuff I've burned ever smelled like cigarettes, or coal.
@@danpatch4751 So what?
That what I've been thinking about the whole time 🤔
Wood stoves are a little different I think? My ex had one growing up and up until 2013. He never smelled like it.
Outstanding talent. Thank you for making my day. 😊
Edwardian romance: Waiting..waiting...lol..sounds about right in these present times too..😂😂💕🦋
I have NO idea why your content popped up in my feed, but I’m glad. You guys are fun. A great diversion from the mess.
Face powder to catch them, baking powder to keep them. It always works
Haha! It’s true tho!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
How could he not take her gently in his arms when she said all those
things about waiting for his birthday and how she misses him and how she
wore her best dress on that day? My brow furrows.
He's smart enough to know that women don't want a lover, all they want is a provider. Stay single men.
EZg. NO, not here. Take that dribble else where.
@@alexcarter2461 😂🤣😂🤣💯
Men were often innocent in those days, some stayed chaste until marriage. The days before massive porn.
@@alexcarter2461 he’s right
Love this lifestyle! We need more of this now a days, it's what made this country!
I miss the day's, when Men & Women helped each other. Fella's with the heavy stuff, women with the cooking. Each offered their best skills & worked as a team.😏 I'll like & subscribe. I really enjoy looking at those recipes, being I like to cook. haha🧡
