Yes. I certainly agree. She is a wonderful singer with an amazing vocal range but........her personality? How can anybody not love her personality? I know that many famous people fake it.....but she's acted the same way for over 20 years now. If someone is faking it they will eventually screw up. I think it was Kelly herself that said it would be "exhausting" to constantly do something like that.

She was talking about Christina Aguilera. I know that for a fact because I edited a segment she did for VH1 and there was chatter between takes about how awful Christina was but Kelly still decided to praise her for the show (it was Top 40 Divas or something and interviewees would just choose whoever they wanted from the list and talk about them.) Christina ended up as a judge on "The Voice" even though she snootily looked down on Kelly for being "some reality TV show winner," and assumed she'd be a flash in the pan. Christina had written Kelly's first single, "Miss Independent," and was notoriously snooty towards every other successful female pop singer at the time (like when she badmouthed Britney for needing to kiss Madonna to make national news even though Christina had kissed her, too, but they cut to the audience and the world didn't see it.)

@@johnsmi213Christina started writing miss independent, but Kelly finished it. Kelly is the main credited writer on that song. I say this in frustration because I see this all the time where Kelly is not given credit as a great writer to the general public. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve seen people say Christina wrote miss independent.
not sure exactly who to reply to here, but to add to the thread.
Kelly didn't know who wrote on miss independent when she was given it to finish. She's done interviews where she said it made her look like a tool because Christina and others had written on it, but she didn't know that originally and it made her look like she was taking all the credit. It's just another shitty thing her record label did that caused unnecessary drama. I can see why Christina would be upset with that at the time and why Kelly continually goes out of her way to clear it up and other petty shit Davis did.
She made a comment about not wanting to be naked on a magazine like Xtina and of course it was taken the wrong way and snowballed from there. She meant good for her that she has confidence to do that but Kelly wasn’t gonna let her label or anyone else push that choice on her. It’s also why she used to be thinner because she was forced to be. Avril part of it is just part of Avril’s image back then and she was putting on a persona for her career, more than likely fed into by her own team. She used to say a lot of shit that people now would just tweet but back then it was sound bites from interviews to garnish attention. Avril was controversial
