Thank you so much. I was trouble shooting the “No Pressure” on my ninja. I found you in that search, but no resolution from it. I searched again, looking for differences in the picture details on the nozzle and setup. I decided to watch this video and your comment that gaskets were not transferable was the key! I had kept my old one and didn’t even realize the difference. I swapped back to the original for my smart kid and the damn thing worked! Simple solution, but mad me so happy. Thank you for all the time you’ve put into your videos. They really do help!
thanks for review, i haven't tried all the functions yet on mine, but so far I love it. Clean up is a snap and it does so many things that it's pretty much handles all the cooking I do in one appliance. Add to that that it won't heat up my kitchen in the summer since I won't need my oven much if at all and I am one happy bachelor. To anyone sitting on a fence, buy it! It may not be perfect, but nothing is.
Thanks for the review we, ordered our upgrade. Glad to see you actually showed food being cooked. I've see other reviewers who just talk about the machine. Nice to see the cooker at work. ❤❤❤
On the yogurt setting there is two settings. One is boil which is for non ultra pasteurized milk, push the up down and it goes to ferment for when you use milks like FairLife.
That chicken looks to die for❤ I bit the bullet and ordered mine, with the temp probe. It's coming Saturday, and chicken is on the menu for Sunday dinner. Great video.
How do you store all your gadgets? Do you keep all the gadgets you review? I love kitchen gadgets but run into storage issues. Thanks for the thorough review on this machine.
Thank you very much for your review, advice and lessons on using the new Ninja Foodi XL... ours just arrived today and so looking forward to doing some creative cooking! Wishing you all the best Sir.
Have to say pulled back on getting one. never had airfryer before so wanted to see what they are like. My toaster went on fritz and th Ninja XL does not do toast. will watch the vudeos
Just because there's no button that says "toast" doesn't mean it can't be done. Before these things, folks would toast bread in conventional ovens with no problem. And it has a "bake" function 🙂.
@@wisconsinbound2123 The air fryer function makes better toast than a toast function on oven or actual toaster. Trust me you will not regret it. After getting my air fryer I haven't used my toaster oven once.
Many big thanks for your very detailed demo! Just wondering how noise it is? I have two cats, I am a little concerned about the noise, will it be intolerable?
So the Thermometer is extra? I was wanting one with the thermometer. It would have helped you in this video. I am going to buy one today. Great video!!
Hi Darnell, another great review, as always. Seriously thinking about getting this one. Gonna go watch the rest of your follow-up videos to see what you end up thinking. I got the Ninja Foodi Smart XL Air Fry oven and use it pretty much every day on many functions, and I can't imagine life without it. Also, when I go to click the merch link in your video description, it just takes me right back to your main youtube page. I'd like to get a shirt to help support you, but I can't seem to find it. Any ideas?
I just checked, the link only works in the TH-cam app or a desktop/laptop computer. You can go there with this link. wave-oven-recipes-store.creator-spring.com
So I found this at Kohl's today for $195.49 plus I get back $45 in Kohl's cash. Do you think its worth holding out for the OL701 just for the Smart thermometer? I already have a probe thermometer and a meater.
I ordered mine this a.m. from Kohl's also. Great price for the 8qt. I have the original 6.5 qt Foodie and had been wanting to upgrade. This is perfect, I'm excited 🙂
@@ladyfran1960 the one that comes with the probe seems nice, but like you, I'm going to just continue using my meat thermometer. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Thank you for your very excellent video. I’ve used my NINJA PC OL701 two times and both times it takes 25 or more minutes to come up to pressure only to give an error message “No Pressure” I shut it off and start over and then it works but by then I’ve messed up my recipes. Both times I was using the meat thermometer. Any idea what you think might be happening? Ninja has not been helpful. I might have to return it and get another one but sure would like to know if it’s me or the cooker. Thanks for maybe helping me out. I appreciate your videos.
I guess that is why the top model comes with a probe so you can cook meat to a temperature rather than guessing (all be it coming in at a heavier cost) but the auto cooking did my first roast chicken in 42 mins I didnt use the basket though as I felt the chicken was to close to the heating element, I used a low rack.
Right now the OL701 is on sale at Amazon for $229.99. Guess Ninja is lowering their pressure cookers lineup prices before launching their new 2022 models.
I'm looking for a revision of the new XL version of the 2-drawer air fryer and I can't find it anywhere. I want to know if by chance you know the size of each compartment because I need to know how wide it is in relation to the previous model. I can't find that information anywhere. Excuse my English because I did the translation in google
8 qt for standard and 10 qt for xl basically 1 qt extra per basket works out about 3/4 of an inch wider but looks a lot bigger until you put the crisping trays next to each other it really doesnt seem worth the upgrade as I have only had my 2 drawer for 1 month and this week the xl was launched in the UK and was looking at the upgrade. I just stuck to upgrading the pressure cooker to the 750Uk
Im scared about how to open the lid? Especially for the pressure cooker. How do you know when to open the lid? Ive heard horror stories (i havent bought one yet) anything else I should know?
Please check the sous vide water temp. I have had two ol601 pressure cookers and the first, the water temp was 45 degrees below set temp. With the 2nd, the water temp was 35 degrees below temp. Sous vide is importantt for me.
Ha ha. One of those people who bought six Qt and then moved up to 8 Qt. I found that the pressure cooker was great for batch cooking and with 8Qt I could make more. Batch cooking helps me have healthy meals on hand so my diabetes stays in check.
My only concern is about the reliability and longevity of the all around lid ! 🤔🤔 . I believe I have better value for money with the older model having two separate lids 😉
@@HH-CA I have waited enough ! Owned multiple electric, manual, induction pressure cookers... there is enough ventilation as this is air fryer too..and steamer as well . Bottom line; you wait, these all in one machines will be the most selling items for large kitchens, families.. etc.
My problem with Ninja is that they had to replace my XL pressure 8 quart because it would no longer sear saute’ and now it won;t steam, and the warranty is over,. What do you think about the reliability of these Ninja products
I wonder why your chicken took so long if you watch Jeremy Hills video he had the 6 pound chicken and it only took 35 minutes and it was a lot crispier then yours ( on the same settings ) .
I can confirm my work, I cannot speak for anyone else. I think if you get one, be ready for an hour+ if it's 6 pounds. And if you read Ninja's own whole chicken recipe for the cooker. (I mention the exact page number in this video.) It's at minimum a 55 minute cook. So, that should tell you something 🙂.

Oh how weird that the chicken was not done. I always use a thermometer to temp my chicken. I'm afraid that some folks who don't do that will cook the chicken according to the recipe and end up eating undercooked chicken. Not good Ninja.
@@WaveOvenRecipes yes. Also important that pat dry the chicken and massage it with a little oil. It makes crisper skin. If you stuff the chicken use 20 less temperature and 30 min extra time. Also chicken time and temp doesn't transfer equally to other birds, like duck. You have to count for the density of the meat.
These machines are crazy noisy and a high pitched hairdryer noise. I'm surprised nobody is saying this. I can't stand mine. The duo crisp is so much quieter. I don't even care that it has two separate lids

You can't get it off. Just run a steam cycle and remove dirt with a cloth after it cools down.
