Sainsbury's stores try to cash in on the increasing number of Brits holidaying in the UK, but in Penzance the fridges break down on one of the hottest days of the year.
Worked for Sainsbury’s Deepdale store in the early to mid 1990s. I remember the time I accidentally demolished a wine rack on the shop floor with an Lshape and wine bottles came down and smashed on the floor. I heard there was a red stain on the floor where the incident happened. I was actually shaking with fear of getting the sack or fined. The management were ok about it as it was an accident. I hear that people still about to this day. It would have happened around 1994/95 ish.
You’d think they might have called the “engineers” in before the big rush . Just in case the gas was leaking and also test the compressors and filters . But no sat on their backsides all winter.
Newquay increase of only 1.4% on previous year due to cancellation of concert and Bude with their new store manager came out on top with 3.5% increase.
I love how it's down to a bunch of higher ups (who probably haven't stocked a shelf a day in their life) what the nation gets to eat. Like surely you would use a test panel of various age ranges, different cultural backgrounds and lifestyle choices. But nope let's use Amanda age 29 from Tunbridge wells who got this job through a degree and the most exciting thing she's ever eaten is beef madras 😂
This is such crap, of course the consumer magazine writers are going to say the Christmas veggie food is good. It's a freebie. Would it not be better inviting in a few customers for lunch, even better send them the food and follow up with a service call.
The reason they have the celery in a plastic bag is to stop the celery from being contaminated by every customer holding it up and mentioning it is ridiculous for Sainsbury's to put the celery in a plastic bag.
So why can carrots be loose. Why can tomatos be loose. Why can potatoes be loose. Why can peppers be loose. Why can parsnips be loose...the list goes on.
Working in the Penzance cafe upstairs would be nice with views overlooking St Michaels Mount on the balcony. Interesting which distribution Cornwall gets the stock from. Bristol is a long journey especially right down to Helston, Truro and Penzance. Sainsbury's has another large distribution in Yorkshire which tends to cover areas from Nottinghamshire to Northumberland.
So weird how meat is shaped into nuggets and dinosaurs and shaped into patties and sausages, covered in marinades, herbs and spices. Strange that people who eat dead bodies don’t just rip raw pieces off the carcass with their claws and massive canines, like lions.
@@starbuckscoffee8521 just because you don't need them doesn't mean you shouldn't wear them. An environment like that, it's definitely going to be ideal because there is going to be heavy stuff that in warehouse that toes won't like. Your not supposed to wear them in warehouses you thicko!! Learn!! If the forklift runs over toes it can bend the steel caps down and chop all toes off causing mass bleeding. Thicko. It's instant dismissal at Morrisons if your caught wearing them for that reason. Educate before you post dipshit comments
@@LeviJamesRE I worked at Wickes for 6 years and we had to wear steel toe boots on the shop floor and warehouse/yard. No exceptions. Vegan food is processed rubbish. No matter if it’s Sainsbury’s or Tesco it’s all processed garbage promoted by the WEF. Stick to fresh food. At least you will know what’s going into your food.
Perhaps if all Sainsbury's staff actually did their shopping in Sainsbury's they might achieve their store targets, though the words no way and crap may spring to mind...
I’m watching this from Canada and whilst I am enjoying it I can’t believe how white and male the upper echelons are. You have to do better. It’s 2021 for goodness sake.
Diversity is a big thing in the UK and we have many laws against discrimination in employment. The colour of someones skin is irrelevant and so is the gender. They are not going to fire a white person just so they can hire a POC to look more diverse. New roles would consider anyone from any background, but at the end of the day, jobs are based on experience and merit, and not the colour or gender of a person. Some positions were specifically made to hire people from diverse backgrounds to appear more "diverse" and to me, this is the result of ridiculous comments from people like you.

Normal people wash their fruits and veg before they eat them.
