@@bythelakesidesee if you can rent a loom and try it out. I was able to rent a rigid heddle loom from my guild for long enough to know I enjoyed it but didn't want another rabbit hole to go down!
Absolutely Sandy. Your home-business comes first. You have a lot on your plate, so be kind to yourself. I love that Chelsea luxe skein that looks like a roosters tail feathers. 😊🎄🎄🎄🎄
I can’t wait to hear what your new hobby is going to be. I’m guessing weaving........... only because that is something that I’ve wanted to try for years!!! I love your rice cooker steamer!!! 🎄
Sandy! I love how you put your yarns in basket for up coming projects! Great idea! I have a basket like that and I need to do that as my yarns are in bins and not really out for me to look at! Love them all that you picked! So good to see you excited about new ideas and projects!! It’s so much fun to be excited about things!! Best of luck!! Looking forward to more of your videos!!
Oh my goodness! I can’t express enough how much I enjoy watching your videos! I’m happy, I’m giddy just thinking of what this new craft your interested in could possibly be! Plus, I see cookie and tree project bags…I’m hoping to snag one of them!!😊

My guess also is weaving, because you mentioned an initial outlay of money. You would be a good weaver; you have the intelligence and skill. Go for it, Sandy!
Hi Sandy! If you have a wish to try a new craft, go ahead. I have been a textile artist my entire adult life. Knitting, spinning, hand weaving, mixed media and Papercrafts, and my personal favorite, sewing! Each medium offers different processes and creative decisions to enjoy. Have fun exploring your passions!
I found a new hat pattern, it’s not going to work with your bulky yarn but it’s beautiful , Empire State Hat from Camijo knits. I thought of you when I saw it!
Okay, this may sound really off the wall but...How do you drink coffee and even still at 4:30 pm and have beautiful white teeth? I drink two cups in the morning and I can tell my teeth are beginning to show it. It is bothering me so much that when I see people with beautiful white teeth I wonder if they drink coffee or tea and if so, what is their secret for keeping their teeth so white?
Oh, I don’t know! I work from home and always brush my teeth when I wake up and again after my breakfast and coffee because I hate the feeling afterwards.
Hmmm woven scarf! Could your new hobby be weaving? I love weaving it’s very repetitive and your arms get a work out. It’s also addictive and the equipment takes up a lot of space...But so worth it! I hope your new hobby is weaving. Can always start with a small table loom. Yes I hope it’s weaving.
The smart money is on WEAVING. Looms (plus a spinning wheel if you’re going all-in) are a lot of money, so it was a dead giveaway. Personally, it always seems like you’re in a quiet state of overwhelm. Very wise to sit on this idea (or whichever craft it is) for SEVERAL days. Putting more on one’s plate isn’t a good way to “carve out more time”, lol. I’m speaking as a person who starts new big projects when I have one …. ONE … afternoon that isn’t over-scheduled. It’s like my brain hates a vacuum. Those projects or schemes always remain in the back of a closet, unfinished.
Honestly, I am almost always overwhelmed (especially when I'm filming vlogmas or trying to squeeze in a TH-cam video). I think it's just part of being a small business owner that designs, makes, markets, packs, ships and films video content (and I have a son with special needs). It's always busy around here and making things is my peace. :) But sitting on the idea is definitely what I'm doing. I've wanted one for years, but we will see!
@@bythelakeside I’m so amazed at all that you do! Wonderful meals, making your family comfortable, running your business, creating TH-cam content…whoa! Wonder Woman! Sometimes when I want to incorporate something new into my life, I force myself to drop something else, or at least minimize it/be less thorough. And I also make an “appointment” to do it, eg actually write it in my agenda, maybe only biweekly eg: “Sat 2-4 pm practice ukulele” and then put it on the fridge calendar too, so EVERYONE knows and tries to stay out of your hair ; ) There are only 24 hrs in a day (last time I googled it!), and I have a saying, “I’m like a cookie…I can only slice myself into so many pieces before I CRUMBLE!” Good luck in dreaming up your 2024 plans🥰 The lovely thing is that you feel that love of life and enthusiasm to actually dream. I feel like you. I'd love to go down the weaving path but don't want the loom to feel neglected 😂. Which loom is in your cart? I was looking at the knitters loom. I took a class a few years ago and I really enjoyed it. Can't wait to hear your decision.

Oh Glen 😂 Mr. Speedy!
Maybe Glenn could use the small miter box for making picture frames? His response was pretty funny.
