Have followed Leo since 1973. Will listen to him anytime, anywhere….forever.
About the same for me too. And this performance is at his zenith. Imagine using just the first ten minutes to introduce someone to his music who hadn’t heard him before. Even fifty years later I find my lexicon of reactions can only come up with chucking in awe.
he does not give a shit. not even bothered with a guitar stand!! I have loved him ever since I first heard his music around 1975
Have loved this guy since the 70's...his fingers must be like a vise grip to play a 12 string like that...amazing!
Most incredible, light years ahead of others.
He is on a completely different
Wave length. God's gift for those who wonder how far they have to go to be the
"BEST"
I discovered Leo decades ago and could watch him for hours. He is so different. His songs are unlike anything I've ever heard. Some are melodic, happy, and pretty while others are straight out weird and quirky, but I listen to them all.
Not trying to be critical of him, but why does he always look slightly confused like he just woke up? The first time I saw him I thought he was smashed. However, I learned over the years it's just Leo being Leo.
No one plays guitar like Leo!
Yeah - I go for funerals every time. ...Or Father's Day.
Note: This is worth worth the price of admission just for that John Hurt tune.
P.S. I love how he tunes a string there after it's too late.
Brilliant musicianship
Such a phenomenal player!
A one man Prarie Home Companion
I only like one album Of his - 1990s That's What. And it wasn't off my cd player for much of 1993/4/5, I was 21/2/3.
It's so unusual that When I listened to it I then didn't want to hear anything else so it just stayed on repeat. But it seems to be slightly anomalous in terms of his usual styles.
This is still fabulous. He looks effortless . A real unsung player.
Love Leo‼️
Enjoy his performance in Hawaii, great showman
The beaver story is hysterical.
He can still pull it off!
Cool! Thanks for posting!
I hope Richard Dean Anderson saw this. They are good buddies. ❤️
If you don't know Robbie Basho and his 12 string work, look him up for a real treat.
I only know Leo sitting down
yeh I have never seen him stand either
He is one of my all time musical heroes…despite the fact that his technique isn’t great, and there are so many better amplification systems than what he uses. He is still the OG acoustic guitar master (apologies to the late great Fahey).
i was at this show, i told leo he should by two of those magnetic connectors. but whoever posted this video edited that out of the video. not sure why.
he allowed filming? No problem with staff, etc?
Tuning at 39:00 is so cool
Skip, so listen.
I came and paid to hear music, not talk!😠
Does he allow recording?
Ozburt or Bob turnips and horses
ADHD for sure.
No thanks
Damn thats awful! Sounds like a chicken pecking its beak into the ground and scratching in gravel!
Yeah recording quality is not doing this any favors
