i also think give me a minute is absolutely worth a listen; i love how the songs sound so minimalistic at a surface level but there’s really a lot of complexity in its production. like “where do i go” has that shift from the lo-fi to clear sound that comes in gradually with the background instrumental !! it’s so good aahhhh i’m obsessed

Lizzy is extremely talented, and she produced 3 tracks on this album, but not Pancakes for Dinner. Most of the tracks, including Pancakes, were produced by Philip Etherington. I remember hearing Lizzy talking about first working with him, and hearing what he did with the first track she heard, which was either Pancakes for Dinner or another track, Apple Pie (I know it had food in the title). She was really excited about how he had taken her songs and turned them into something better -- which is the job, of course.
It was so fun to watch you work your way through the song being surprised and delighted along the way. Spoiler alert: It made the song that much better. Thanks!
