I saw someone say they basically replaced attack decay with a an Attack Stale system. Kind of the same thing but less annoying. Spamming attacks still slowly do less damage over time but idk if the rate is the same or not.
@@StayPuftDaddy98 I don't remember if attack decay reduced damage but I know it greatly reduced hitstun and technically knockback since people could stop their momentum with dodge after hitstun ended
He was trying to challenge Batman's kick with the disjointed spear hurtbox. For some reason it didn't work, even though it really should have.

Literally this shi moves like snail I miss being able to cancel everything high level neutral was fun to watch especially when Batman got nerfed and had to wrk extra hard in neutral. Now it feels like a baby game hope it grows on me kinda sad

I really hope there's a setting to turn off the team tint (not talking about the outlines). Tinting the entire enemy character red is so utterly unnecessary.
I understand they did it for clarity but I can tell which of the 2 comically different characters on screen I am controlling most of the time. Thanks.

I feel like they need to tone down on the hit stun. Cause they already slowed the game flow down. The hit stun duration is kinda off putting.

It was not slow at all, but it is now. If you compare this to old gameplay footage, there's a huge difference. The reason for this is the fact they removed unlimited dodges. We used to be able to use the dash jumping mechanic for increased speed across the battlefield.

No. The old speed was awful and the main reason 1v1 sucked to play, everyone was dodge spamming all over the place and was unreadable. The majority hated it.
@@nuibaba280agreed. Dodge spamming was the bane of competitive play and you were not punished for any moves at all.
@@azraelthegod8388 The competitive scene dived off a cliff in terms of numbers because of the beta's awful gameplay. The changes were an improvement.
I think we got used to the beta speed because it was overwhelmed by cheese meta and the strongest characters like Batman, Finn or Stripe relied on their speedbuffs which allowed them to combo infinitely. Most characters didn't move like that. But also dodgespamming didn't feel very skillful, you just mashed L+DI to get out of combos.

I still wish this game had block. But I guess I'll just have to get good with parry. I also wish characters made more sounds like Banana Guard does. Most characters only say their lines and it's just movement and striking sounds after that. Makes it feel a little lifeless.
Woah did they overrule attack decay...?!?! 5:26 He literally down aired him 3+ times and Attack Decay didnt pop up. For newcomers Attack Decay pops up when you spam one attack 3 times in a row and this batman just did 1 move 5 times in a row and no decay on his attack influence. If they removed it idc either way Lol bc Morty's Hammer is about to be FLYING!😂
It still exist they just made it less sensitive from what i heard probably because of the speed slowing down and combos changing, im sure there will he alot less loops haha

the speed changes affect every character, not just Batman, he’ll be fine
@@mallysixfour yes exactly everyone movement looks slower so every rush down character is going to struggle against projectiles since projectiles don't look slower. Nobody who played in this early access gameplay has shown us video of using projectiles for some reason. Just waiting to see some real gameplay against cheesers to see how slow the game will really be.
@@smeshU-tl6qx projectile characters have also received changes to accommodate the rushdown playstyle, Velma for example, no longer has her full screen megaphone attack, and projectile speed overall is slower

You’re so right. I forgot that the Super Mario theme or Pac Man blip sounds playing in the background of Smash was DEFINITELY better than this. Not bad at ALL.

the newer tracks for the new stages are a lot more energetic and fitting. I suggest you start being more critical of the games you like before mvs gets trapped in a feedback loop of "everything is alright" and dies in a year again.
@@AbsintheSol I mean this stage in the video is based off of Adventure Time, the soundtrack in the show itself isn’t exactly adrenaline pumping. The other songs on the different stages are more energetic, partially because they use the actual soundtracks from the shows and movies they’re from.
Multiversus didn’t die, it got shut down to do a complete overhaul of the game. It’s a close contender to beat Smash and its community in popularity, in fact i believe it did beat Smash in Twitch views when the BETA was going on. Regardless though, i’m sticking with mvs, not Smash that has a big sweaty weeaboo pedo ring behind it.
The Rick and Morty stage has one good song and one shit song. Unfortunately they chose the shit song.

Everyone that's played the early access says when you're controlling it, it doesn't feel that way. I guess we'll see on the 28th.
Not only movement slow, the hits are slow, the fighting feels wanky, it doesn't feel like it's going to be a success for the fighting community.
