It is a joy to see a spark in your eyes Rebecca! It has been there for a while now! You definitely have a 'snowball glow'. the whole homestead is teaming with people, projects and animals...really nice to see so much productivity when much of this world is, well...not so productive
So happy you are having a good day Rebekah. I am glad I am not the only one that often bakes after Christmas. Christmas is a hard emotional time for me and sometimes it just knocks me down and I am not organized enough to do it in November. Justin, you show your animals a lot of respect by letting us know how difficult putting them down is. Us town folk have no clue about the hard side of farming. How lucky your animals will be out of the weather but first fun time for the kids on the concrete. :-)
Rebakah was so much The Beautiful One. Loved the Smile and Energy she had. Phyllis is happy to be back with the Herd I'm sure. Could Polly or Maple become a replacement for Phyllis? The Boys and Lilly are going to have a great place to play until next winter lol. Talk to Trainer about how to break Teddy of chasing cars. There are several ways. But the sooner the better to break this terrible habit that could get him killed. Always look forward to your Videos. God Bless and Peace Be With You All
Loved the video the new barn is looking amazing great work can’t wait for it to be finished stay safe. Also are chickens started to lay eggs today too god luck.
Making content where we love the animals as much as ppl it’d hard to think of aunt flossy being killed is a hard one especially when viewers would support keeping her around
My grandfather always said the best thing you can do to your family cow at the end of her life is harvest her for your family and her happy life will be fulfilled to perfection
Its never easy sending a old cow to freezer camp but its better than sending to the industrial processing plant. Less stress on the cow. Meat is a little tuff but man the flavor.
We had a hen called psycho broody. She went broody twice in one year and while she growled and pecked and fluffed and all that good stuff, she did an additional thing that got her the nickname. She screamed. It was the most hilarious and horrible sound.
What if you waited until Flossie's calf is old enough for her to replace Phyllis? Correct me if I'm wrong but don't heifers reach breeding age around 12-15 months old? She could be producing milk by Halloween 2022.
If you're going to look for a new family cow, why not keep Maple? She's unrelated to Stud and you know her history, and she comes from a dairy you trust. Just curious as to why, is all.
Tell kids, Short term sacrifice gives LONG TERM SUCCESS...... N tell they don't want to rune the contrete 4 just a few more hours of waiting..... Sweet kids... Love show. N family
Question Justin . do you think the other animal's know what goes on when it's time to harvest a animal in front of them. Or is it best to take the animal away from the others to harvest them.
You made me cry! I understand but the way you said “I need to feel that pain”
Plz let Daisy have a few months retirement before the dinner plate, she gave so much deserves a little relaxation

So glad to hear that you had a great morning Rebecca! May you have many more great mornings before the birth.
We always put blankets on with the black side up. They warm up from the sun and it Helps with heat retention.

Nice homestead!
Need to get a spreader to spread the wood chips an manure that piles up it would be good for the pasture.
Yep, it's on the list.

Wouldn't want to do that personally as the calf will likely be carry some of these problems as well.

That's a possibility, but she won't be ready to breed till she's 20 months then 9 months to have a calf and give milk.
Awesome 👏 😀👍
Thank you 👍
So great!😎👍🙏❤
The thumbnail is cute!

No.

Your kids must be cold if those are blankets jk love your videos man!
Couldn't Maple be a replacement?
It would be 26 months or so, but maybe.
