The heart rate is just a gauge. As u get fatigued, hotter and more dehydrated, hr will go up at the same pace. I think there's no point in walking just to get your heart rate down if it still feels good to run
When you talk about the mileage, how long does it take for the mileage to translate into fitness? Would keeping 50km/week for 2 months be enough to see progress? What about compared to 6 months?
i'm surprised u felt tempo workouts didn't benefit 2.4km for you. jakob ingebriegtsen does almost exclusively T and T+ workouts, rarely doing Vo2max or mile specific workouts... despite being a miler. that said, everyone responds differently. i've been alternating tempo (like 6x1k) and vo2max (6-8x400) on weekly basis for my own 10 week 2.4k program... if i don't get a good result i'll try dropping tempo in lieu of vo2 max or faster stuff.
Love the combination of interesting info and chill delivery. Thanks :)
AND HE'S BACK!!!
congrats & great info
Appreciate it!!
Bro ur such an inspiration, my 2.4 is only 9m30s, trying to improve and go sub 9
should we do a time trial halfway through the plan? or just trust the process haha
Up to you! If youre faster then you can increase the workout paces again hahaha
How do you do easy run. Using heart rate or just by feeling.
I try and keep it below 75% of max heart rate for the entire run. A bit by feeling also
So essentially skip the tempo and threshold workouts and focus on the z2 runs and speed workout! Is that it?
Yep just for 2.4k only. Because we're not running in those energy systems for 2.4
Go for the pocari sweat sub 7 2.4 challenge 😊
They run sub 7 🤯🤯🤯 ill be eating dust
Benefitted a lot from your previous 2.4K plan alr! Are you going to have any 5K training plan soon?
I plan to sub 17min then share my thoughts after that!
everytime i attempt z2 runs by hr i always end up doing more walking than running is that normal?

How does it work, do we become supporters and get access to the plan or we must be members?
Nope no need, you can get it from the main page! (Scroll down abit)

I find only a few days and you'll lose it after maybe 2-3 weeks.

thats really crazy when i already feeling proud that my 2.4km is 13mins.
