Will give up third and whatever so the other team can maintain pocession, run the clock down and force your offense to score last. The only reason they won is because the other team failed to kick a last second field goal.

For all the good things Hafley has done with this defense, the third-and-longs have actually gotten worse. I was more stressed on 3rd and 19 than I would have been on 3rd and 5. Opponents just seem to always convert, whether on third or fourth, when we get them that backed up on third down
