    I'm surprised (a little) that it took this long for someone to make a bass amp with a tube front end and a class D output section. Not to mention the adjustable HPF.

      To be clear, there have been numerous prior bass heads which employed a tube front end and a class-D output section. In fact, Jeff Genzler, himself, has multiple prior designs which feature tube preamps feeding class-D output sections. This is a very good one, though, for sure!
