Hi there, I am a 39 year old woman and I bought a infrared sauna blanket about 2 months ago. The blanket is portable and im able to just put it away when i am finished. I haven't come up with a routine yet but i really hope to in the new year. I have been using it for when my muscles are sore from working out and have noticed it helps with my recovery time. I also get in it when i think a cold might be coming on and have seen a drop in intensity of symptoms and a drop in the time I'm sick. I am excited to see how well your families sauna journey goes and all the benefits you all receive. God Bless.- Jennifer
I’m sure your dad influenced and impacted people through is sermons, leadership and prayers. That was his life’s purpose as he knew it. And now his purpose isn’t done. He’s showing a number of us from social media what living with a parent/loved one who has dementia/Alzheimer’s actually is. His purpose hasn’t left. It’s just changed.
My wife is 49 and has been diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's. Her mother died at 68 of it as well. I was really struck by your comment when you referenced a doctor who said "You don't have to get Alzheimer's". We have been operating on this assumption her's is genetic and maybe there are differences in types, etc.? I'm new into all of this and trying to navigate a new way of life to try and provide the best care I can for my wife. We are broken hearted and grieving different things as we navigate this new season but we also have great hope in Immanuel, God with us. Thanks for sharing what you are learning.
I just sent you this comment Instagram, but for the algorithm I guess I’ll post it here, too 😅…. I just binged the first 3 episodes and I loved them all. It is so meaningful and shows the real ups and downs of life in a family. I love how much you and your family members allow glimpses of conflict, hurt feelings, and questioning if we’re doing enough for each other. I don’t care what age we are… that stuff is REAL! I turn 41 on Saturday, and my oldest is turning 11 3 days later. It feels so important to me to see what your family is going through now because I want to remember to allow God to prepare my heart and character. Everything you, your wife, parents and kids allow us to see is encouraging to that end. We are rooting for you!!
I'm not midlife quite yet, I'm still in my early 30s. My dad is midlife, he's a small town pastor and dad of 12. He's in his 60s, but he's been struck with a major health crisis. It's been really hard seeing my big strong Superman Pastor Daddy get so sick and weak. He was catatonic in September and had us scared but recovered with no answers from doctors. Then in December he had to be hospitalized when he was visiting his mom,(80). He had pneumonia, kidney failure, and heart failure. He finally got diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that could develop into blood cancer. It's been a heavy few months. I am the third oldest the youngest of us is 16.
My dad had Alzheimer's for many years before passing away in 2011. Watching your dad and your family brings back so many good memories. A lot of your dad's mannerisms remind me of my dad and the times that he was "on". For the most part, my dad was living in the moment and was happy - the Alzheimer's bothered the rest of us more than it bothered him. I'm now 57 and have really changed my diet to help not go down the same road. I'll be checking out your sauna journey. Thank you for sharing the journey with your dad ...
I'm wondering about the reliability and validity of the study since it was only done on European men. Is there another study that includes women with different ethnicities?
My father has had dementia for over 20 years. Seeing your father on his journey reminds us how important everyday is with them.❤
Absolutely. Everyday.

Thanks Jennifer! I’ve heard great things about the sauna blankets as well!
