The 4.0 is the more desirable engine at least in America and I would bet as a whole. I don't buy my petro by the liter, and the 4.0 never fails to impress, I have over 200k miles on 4.0 and it still runs strong though I'm sure it's lost some power since it was produced in the late 90s.
They are Jeep Cherokee XJs, so I would own either one! Best damn SUV ever made; no matter what power-plant they have!
It's all about tires....
Torque
yep
man id love a diesel in my xj. A 4bt cummins in an xj is on my bucket list...

Once you experience the off-road prowess of a Jeep Cherokee XJ, there's no going back.
Good stuff 😁👍.
I've had both the 4 cyl and the six.
the black one is the diesel, becuase of the smoke
Not necessarily
it is more about tyres then horse power!
needs to be done on dry pavement that would be hard on the trucks but fun to watch
i was curious which was the diesel till 0:11... lol that black smoke... it would look awesome with a nice stack coming out the hood
One of my dads 4 liters is gas and it puffs black smoke when it starts
which is which ?
@CumminsCrazedredneck and it's pretty expensive too
@CumminsCrazedredneck indeed it is you're correct lol :)
Here's a bright idea, lets take two uni bodies and use them in a truck pull...
You re right!
Good one.
Tires and weight to which then 4.0 has the adv
Which is which?
Which ones which
So its tires that make the difference
This tests are kinda pointless. But they definitely look sweet 👍
aww i wanna play.. lol 95 jeep ZJ 5.2 on 31x10.50s
31s are quite in the small end :D
These are Toyota transmissions I believe.
Aisin, but yes, it is partly owned by Toyota.
but doesnt the 4bt make less hp and torque than the i6 4.0?
Its not a 4bt and ita hase the same torq just les hp less rev range
who won? haha!
gas.
