Credit must be given to Brighton because despite a few key players leaving, they are a very good team and will cause problems for everyone. Liverpool, however, struggled with injuries from the beginning, and the biggest handicap is the midfield, where Klopp did not bring in fresh reinforcements in time, and this is the main problem. Trent was at fault for the first 2 goals. He cleared it terribly, then slipped trying to recover. Then on the 2nd goal he lost possession in a stupid area and we got caught on the counter. I thought Hendo played well considering he's only just come back from being injured. We knew we needed reinforcements in midfield during the window, but we decided to give 36 year old Milner a new contract instead.
Trent headed the ball into the middle of the box, that's how the problem with the first goal started. he should have just touched it with his head and let it fall to the ground and volley it away but he had to head it right out there like a clown. Henderson is to blame too, for sure.
I don't know why it took us 30 minutes to start playing football and I don't know why we stopped playing football after the 3-2 goal! I do not understand what is going on in these players' heads! For our first goal, Salah actually hits the ball completely wrong and its a side pass to Firmino who bangs it in, it was a complete accident lol! He meant to shoot there I'm sure. the 3-2 was an own goal.

What frustrates me the most in what he’s doing with Nunez.
Nunez start the season brilliantly. Goal vs city debut, goal and assist on prem debut.

The only positive that could come out of what looks like a very very frustrating season is there is no way we don’t rebuild the team , not the whole squad but better squad players, top quality players on the bench. After this season klopp has surely got to see as much as we all love and get attached to these players , the team comes first.

I have a theory. The problem firstly is clear as the eye can see, these players can't cope with the 4-3-3 system anymore, this was quite obvious towards back half of last season. This system requires relentless press from front 3, a blazing midfield engine 3 and a blitzing back 4. In the last few years these players playing this system where either at the peak of their powers and some up and coming like Arnold. Many of these players are on the other side of their peak, the front press cannot be sustained, the midfield 3 of thiago Henderson and fabinho whilst great cannot cope with this type of sustained pressure anymore, Henderson is passed his best, thiago was not brought in to be the engine and fabinho now is suffering with having to cover. Can we blame the players? In part yes for some sloppy mistakes, but overall to play in klopps team each player must run like a trouper for 90 mins. 50% of the players cannot cope with this now. If you havnt got the players to play the system, then don't play the system. Scrap the highline and go back to counter attacking football we played when Klopp started out and he had a dodgy defence. Now here is a theory which isn't far fetched. The players I feel want a change in system but Klopp refuses too which i fear has led to some discontent with the players, because how else can you you explain the overall quick demise of not 1 or 2 players, but near the whole team. Teams are simply by passing the front 3 with passes and picking out trents side to attack.. if a team can pass out at the back and have atleast 1 quick striker we are in trouble as can be seen in most games. We had near our full squad yesterday. Trent should never have started against a rampant Brighton team, Diaz should have started and Milner should never have been on the pitch. Forget about the champions league, we have no chance of winning it and and this rate unless Klopp changes his system quickly the top 4 is well out of reach. If arsenal and City beat us comfortably I fear for the morale of the whole squad!! It may be hard to recover from

2 of Brightons goals went right through TAA position like he wasn't even there hence MOTD who usually rave about LFC and TAA said he was at fault for 2 goals. Or that he hasn't gotten FB cover in the past 3 years. City have won and defended the league with Delph and Zinchenko at LB (cost like 10m in total) and fixed their FB depth issue by spending only 25m on two players this summer.
