And I’m pretty sure they have a Woodys Roundup type of ride already. Not even Toy Story Mania! would even make it in!

No doubt this version is an upgrade from its predecessors in Hong Kong and Paris, but these one IP centered lands need to end somewhere. They can work in a Studios Park like DHS or WDS but an IP land in a Magic Kingdom... it just doesn’t make sense. These parks were designed to be realms of fantasy, adventure, the future... not Andy’s Backyard. These lands take up space where multiple IP attractions could be. IP central lands are just an easy money grab for Disney.

Why do we need Buzz in EVERY Tomorrowland, why do we have Monsters Inc and Incredibles in Tomorrowland in WDW when they don't represent tomorrow. Or even better question why haven't the films of Disney Animation outside of Frozen have a bigger presence in the parks. They just get a meet and greet, bathrooms and if they are lucky a parade float.
Since Shanghai as well as the whole mainland China have nothing but one "land"(or one "Magic Kingdom" for your convenience), it's acceptable to have an IP land in it. I burst into tears the moment I saw this video for I like Toy Story series so much.
I like to say the New Shanghai Toy Story Land looks really good all the contractors out there didn't really beautiful job on the rides and the landscape it looks so good I am happy I like it the design looks wonderful the layout looks good and all the rides looks fun thank you for your video I like your work that you do keep on making more videos of all the different Disney parks

the only weird thing about this land is Al's toy shop which is different from the previous conceptual image. and it doesn't make sense because the concept is saying guests are shrinking to the size of a toy in Andy's backyard. If that's the case, Al's shop should be very big because it is for real humans like Andy in the story setting,
I know right. That pony spinning ride is a copycat to Mater's junkyard jamboree. The ride, the theme, and music is almost identical to the junkyard jamboree. Which land is bigger, CarsLand or Toy Story Land?

Every Toy Story Land looks extremely unimpressive, cheap, and doesn't make you feel like you're in the movie. Its basically just a big section with a theme, instead of say The Wizarding World of Harry Potter where you are actually in Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley.
Oh cut the "fanboy" card. I'm a massive Disney fanboy, grew up with WDW (still go all the time as I live in Orlando). There are aspects I really think are fantastically done at Universal as well, but Disney has always been more appealing for the most part. But i'm not a blind to problems, and Disney has done plenty worthy of being criticized. You can ignore Universal entirely, but Toy Story Land still falls far short of Disney's own usual standards of quality. It does cheap (wasn't cheap to build but just looks it). It's also a common sentiment among the most popular online Disney communities. Universal has plenty of poor quality crap as well, collectively i'd say they have a lot more than Disney does. I don't care for the Simpsons area for instance. But credit where credit is due (and no credit where it isn't). The Harry Potter lands ARE spectacular, blowing Toy Story Land out of the water. Disney can still pull off awesome stuff when they try (Avatar, Cars Land etc, also expecting great things of Star Wars). Toy Story was just not up to their usual standards. This our team vs your team exclusivity BS needs to die out in the theme park community. I may be a "Disney" person first and foremost, but I celebrate whenever Disney OR Universal creates something fantastic. And am disappointed when either drops the ball. Either company making good stuff just means more fun for the consumer, and puts the heat on the competition to try harder. Universal is planning a MASSIVE expansion to their property in Orlando and i'm super excited. Both because of excitement for what Universal might build, but also at the prospect of what Disney will do to counter them.

Al’s Toy Box has a handle on the roof implying that this is a Toy not the store.
If you look closely, the roof of the barn has a handle and a couple of plastic doors. I think it's supposed to be a toy carrier.

with the exception of the train concept to back and forth, i haven't been that impressed with harry potter world. the theming for both is ok IMO
