We purchased a RV from El Monte RV/Road Bear in January 2020. It only had about 38k miles on it and we got it for a good price. The only issues we have had have been the two inside rear tires. Everything else has been working great. We are nearing the end of an eight state road trip and no problems. Happy camping everyone. 🎉🌻⛺️🛣👽
Thank you Brian and Erin for talking to you Roadrunners in their new Rv. Very nice Rv. I love class Cs. Glad they fixed to where they like it like with the stove cover very nice and the awning. Very good job. Thank you for this video. Hope you have a great week and great night!
We bought the cruise america 28A and did a lot of the same things! Also did a little paint, self stick wallpaper, added some new blinds, awning, etc. For a backsplash, they have epoxy self stick that is lightweight and looks just like stone!
Hello! I know it's been a while since making this comment but I was wondering if your still enjoying your RV and if you feel it's still been a good investment? We are thinking of buying one of these retired rentals. Thank you so much.
@@sarahkelley9045 Yep, we just packed it up after another great season. If this is your first RV, make sure to have it inspected as there were several things wrong with ours initially (toilet seal broken, fridge didn't work on AC, REALLY worn tires, etc.) We gave them a reasonable laundry list and they took care of it all before we paid and drove away. I strongly recommend having them add the awning - it's worth it. I also replaced every possible fluid as well as the spark plugs and wires right away. We picked ours up at like 125K and have put about 50K on it since. That Ford Triton is really amazing. I have had to fix a few things along the way, but nothing out of the ordinary.
My “retired rental” was purchased from a company in Anchorage, Alaska rather than CruiseAmerica, but I give an enthusiastic thumbs-up to buying a newer model rental unit. You can be pretty sure all the “new RV” issues are long ago ironed out, regular maintenance is a given (with the better rental companies, at least), and I truly believe these rigs - purchased straight from the factory specifically for the rental fleet - are beefed up in steering and suspension for those first-time RV drivers. I bought my 2016 Winnebago Minnie Winnie 27Q in the fall of 2017, with 40K miles on it. Four years later, it’s been nearly trouble-free and I still love it. Btw, I want one of those t-shirts! My rig’s name is “Roada”; short for Roadrunner! We’re on the road a lot, so the name seemed appropriate. 😉
Thank you for your comment. Buying one of these is a little intimidating and it's very reassuring to hear from someone who has had theirs for a few years. It sounds like they do a good job with these. Thanks
This is a great video. This was very helpful and so was this comment section. Its great to hear from people with experience in owning one of these. This video was a genius idea. I had a bunch of questions and some anxiety about buying one of these and what I've learned here has really helped. Im subbed now! Your genuine and i enjoy watching you on screen. Your voice is great for making videos too. Wishing everyone good times and safe travels. 🌞
My spouse and I flew from Houston, Texas to Denver, Co. and purchased our 28A for the absolute best price!! We are in love with it and recommend anyone looking for a deal to go to Cruise America. You will not be disappointed. We put over 1500 miles on our first trip back home. Upgrades are in the works.
Hi there. I was wondering how you were liking your RV? If it's still running strong and if you would do it again. We are thinking of buying one of these and we're curious. Thanks so much and have a beautiful day. 🌞
@@sarahkelley9045 It is running great. They actually have bumper to bumper inspection, repair and refurbishing. Ours is still running great. We travel often and have no issues since we purchased in 2022.
That’s a great interview thanks for sharing, The full time RVing subject comes up a lot in these videos, although I genuinely respect those that are full timer RVers although it’s definitely not for everyone, we enjoy planning and going on our RV trips every year we also enjoy arriving back to our home base to recharge our batteries so to speak and enjoy spending time at the house, we live right outside of a large city that has more golf courses, musical venues, museums etc, etc than most of the places we travel to, so needless to say we love our RV trips and to visit other destinations but it’s okay to not have the desire to full time RV
It's identical to this except for the TVs and other small things they added. They had a lot of family photos and two people sleeping inside so we weren't able to film much in there. th-cam.com/video/0-SAyYEWmJM/w-d-xo.html
Did they mention which location they bought from? Manassas is the closest to Indiana (we live 20 minutes from Indy 😊) but I’m wondering if the inventory is any higher/bigger at say, the Orlando location? You guys did great videos on the CA units thank you so much for doing them! Safe travels!
Cannot imagine buying a rental rv. Rental cars are treated bad enough & cars are built much better than RV's. Hope they got a super good deal! This was very interesting video. Thanks!
I bought a rental Winnebago motorhome through an RV dealer it had 42k miles and it was in excellent condition. We sold it after 10 months of use to buy a bigger unit. RV's are not treated like some people treat rental cars, so it's pretty much a safe purchase.
@@agm6095 I don't have a lot of faith in people to take care of things like it's their own. I hear people all the time says "it's just a rental" as they are about to do something really foolish. If you say they do then I'm a little bit restored! I know a lot of people who never have used an RV rent them and I thought that could be scary. I guess getting one so new with low miles like you did might be a safe bet.
The awning, I want to add one and one place i called they asked if the RV was built to support the awning? such as the supports have a secure place to mount them?
We didn't ask actually. The current prices have gotten a bit high - in 2019 they were starting around 30k and when I looked this afternoon they're up to $45k. Since they bought almost a year ago I imagine it was down in the 30's.
115,000 miles is a lot. Most of these are sold before they reach 40,000. Nothing wrong with that as long as the price was right and the after-purchase support is there, and it seems like it has been for them. Congrats!
The inside is almost exactly like the one we toured in 2019 in this video: th-cam.com/video/0-SAyYEWmJM/w-d-xo.html We didn't get to spend much time in this one because there were people sleeping and they had a lot of personal photos up that they didn't want on camera.
And nobody’s talking about the horrible mpg of these Majestics, really horrible. Was looking at them too for a pretty decent price, but after learning about their mpg don’t want them even for free.
That's kinda like saying well the real estate taxes are almost the same so you might as well buy a million dollar house instead of a $250,000 house. A $40,000 class C and a $40,000 class A are worlds apart and not just that the class A would have to be two decades older or more to be $40,000. Not to mention many people want a smaller rig.
I bought one too. But I’m single and I live in it full time! It’s easy for me to maintain and it’s perfect for me and my dog.
How many miles? I keep seeing ones that are 125k+.
@@piquat1yea that’s pretty much where they’re all at
Any problems with it so far?
Really???? I want to buy one to live in as well!!!

How much do they run?

Did it come with a mattress in master bed?
Can you say what they paid for their RV from Cruise America?

I bought mine for a little over $40k in 2018 a 28A. It really depends on the mileage. I also had an awning put in. It had 138k miles on it.
@@cindycooley9341any problems with it due to high mileage?
Do you know what their warranties cost?
I believe the powertrain warranty is about $2000. The interior warranty might be slightly less. The warranties are on the Cruise America website.

How much $ was the RV ?
We have the meats? Arby’s.
TVs are not needed camping. Of living sure maybe one but don’t need two. The whole point of living in a rv is to see the world
Agree, not necessarily needed but they come in handy if it turns into a rainy weekend when we’re out with the grandkids. 😁
Where is the tour ?
