One night, I was handed a pair of third-row, center aisle tickets about 15 minutes before her show at Radio City. I had just seen her perform the night before, so I thought it would be best to share the tix. A few phone calls only resulted in voice mails. So I walked a few blocks to Radio City and stood out front. The show had been long ago sold out. The scalpers were there, hawking tix for 2/ or 3 x the original price.. Just when the show was about to start, there was a lone girl standing, desperately trying to score a pair of seats. i approached her, and after a quick banter about how much she was a fan, I gave her the tix, no charge. She looked at me as if I was from another planet. I briefly told her that I had seen the show several times, how much she would enjoy it, and that she and her friend had better get inside before the curtain went up. I thought I did the right thing.
