What's neat with these races is that if you do multiple races in the same week, the conditions will change. So you had a decently wet race all the way through here, my race last night started on a dry track and gradually became more wet over the ~30 minutes from a light rain. You had to keep figuring out how much you can push each lap. Some races it may just stay dry all the way through. Never quite know what you're going to get!
Loving seeing you do these rainy races, good stuff.

My first race at Summit Point in the rain was pouring at 7,8,9 and was sunny and drying up at turn 1. It was amazing!

I ran my first official rain race last week at Brands in the GR86. I was quite nervous. I found myself 4th in qualifying, a full 3 seconds off the pole sitter.
The pole sitter had pace, but as you have said in the past, keep it clean and you can gain spots. He spun and quit on lap 2. I spent the entire race learning the track as it dried, searching for grippier surfaces. It was fantastic.
I ended up winning by 12 seconds. The track never dried, but my lap times improved, my last lap being nearly a full second faster than any prior lap. Lap times varied among the top five by as much as three seconds/lap, on any given lap.
Some corners we took the racing line for optimal trajectory. Others we took well off line for optimal grip.
I previously ran a practice session on the Formula Ford at Ledenon. It was a damp track that was drying. It was a joy seeing the lap times fall lap after lap, figuring out when we could use the dry line and how hard to push it. Lap times would fall by a full second at times, depending on the state of the track. It's a whole new dimension to sim racing.

I personally just crank the grip hack up to give me dry levels of grip at all times, my competition is always shocked & asking for tips.

I'm not a huge fan of the dirt side of iracing but the way the track evolved dependant on where people drove just blew my mind. I had such hopes that the rain would utilize that functionality, and wow did they deliver!

    Rain was crazy, but manageable.
I started our race and ran a triple for Sebring 12H and Tropical Storm Bertha rolled through the first probably 90 mins of the race. I Had done practice, team practice, AI practice but never an actual race. Once you got a good flow down and learned after a spin or two what not to do, it wasn't bad. 2/3 of my stints were wet and we managed. We Timed the stop right and put wets on and there were still quite a few cars out still on dry and you could just pass through them like you were on rails.
I'm glad I got to do a couple stints in the wet in race conditions, learned a TON more than I would have doing a couple of one off races on a Friday night

I don't mind the occasional rain as in realism. Look around worldwide. I would guess 80% or more of races held yearly aren't affected by rain at all.

Before rain was introduced, I hadn’t realized how boring iRacing actually was. Basically, the expert gamers, who had figured out their equipment and the game itself, just needed to keep nailing nearly perfect laps over and over again. With rain, other weather and changing track conditions, those gamers still have an edge, but the rest of us actually have a chance to podium since ANYONE - even the best - can misjudge a turn and make a mistake. 🟡🟢🏁 I love Okayama - always fun to watch slower cars race there. That last lap of yours was fun. 👍
