How To Make a Shabby Chic Upcycled Necklace

- Fun to make! This is a full DIY tutorial on how to create a beautiful shabby chic necklace. This video give you a baseline on how to assemble the layers of the necklace, but of course, you will have your own lovely treasures and style to make it your own. We will be doing some simple machine sewing, gluing and hand stitching. Here are just some of the upcycled materials we will be using: vintage lace, jewelry remnants, beaded applique, pearls, beads, fabric flowers, ribbon and more! Create your own a one of a kind neck piece to wear, gives as gifts or sell. Enjoy!

So beautiful! ❤ Would warming up the hot glue from the backside of the necklace with a hair dryer set on a warm setting help soften the glue so your flower could be removed more easily. Of course you would have to be very careful not to melt any of the other fibers around the flower. Thank you so much. 😍

This is absolutely stunning. I love your videos. Oh put your glue gun tip on the hard glue part of the flower and it should soften to remove. The the hot tip re-melts the glue. You can still use E6000 with the hot glue. Put the E6000 on in spots and then add your hot glue for fast hold. Hope this helps

A little tip I saw elsewhere, use the nozzle of your glue gun to melt the glue if you want to remove ot reposition things.

Hi Traci! I just found a great source for lace and trim like you like to use and you may already know. It's not vintage or upcycling but you do have great choices, it's Temu.. I have had good experiences with them. Shipping takes about a week but so much to choose from... Thanks for all you inspire us to do❤
