Hey, everyone I too am a follower of Hinduism. I never thought that there will be so many temples in Canada. Along with these I'm surprised that Punjabi is the third most spoken language in Canada. Proud to an Indian.
Brother, you are excited on many Hindu temples in Canada. All temples are well protected. Why you cannot think of Christian churches in India also be same. Many hindu fanatics going inside church and destroying. What justification is there for that.

Yes i am----- santan dharma is not a religion but a way of living life ........about 7000 years ago there was only one religion in the whole world (earth)whose name was sanatana dharma and also called vedic religion.the simple meaning of sanatan vedic religion was to live life in the manner described in the vedas.

It's good to see Hinduism showcased through BAPS whose has done lots of good work around the world. The title of the video should change however as this does not go into the history of Hinduism in Canada.

1) Believe in God ! - Aastik - Accepted
2) Don't believe in God ! - You're accepted as Nastik
3) You want to worship idols - please go ahead. You are a murti pujak.
4) You dont want to worship idols - no problem. You can focus on Nirguna Brahman.
5) You want to criticise something in our religion. Come forward. We are logical. Nyaya, Tarka etc. are core Hindu schools.
6) You want to accept beliefs as it is. Most welcome. Please go ahead with it.
7) You want to start your journey by reading Bhagvad Gita - Sure !
8) You want to start your journey by reading Upanishads - Go ahead.
9) You want to start your journey by reading Purana - Be my guest.
10) You just don't like reading Puranas or other books. No problem my dear. Go by Bhakti tradition . ( bhakti- devotion)
11) You don't like idea of Bhakti ! No problem. Do your Karma. Be a karmayogi.
12) You want to enjoy life. Very good. No problem at all. This is Charvaka Philosophy.
13) You want to abstain from all the enjoyment of life & find God - jai ho ! Be a Sadhu, an ascetic !
14) You don't like the concept of God. You believe in Nature only - Welcome. (Trees are our friends and Prakriti or nature is worthy of worship).
15) You believe in one God or Supreme Energy. Superb! Follow Advaita philosophy
16) You want a Guru. Go ahead. Receive gyaan.
17) You don't want a Guru.. Help yourself ! Meditate, Study !
18) You believe in Female energy ! Shakti is worshipped.
19) You believe that every human being is equal. Yeah! You're awesome, come on let's celebrate Hinduism!
"Vasudhaiva kutumbakam" (the world is a family)
20) You don't have time to celebrate the festival.
Don't worry. One more festival is coming! There are multiple festivals every single day of the year.
21) You are a working person. Don't have time for religion. Its okay. You will still be a Hindu.
22) You like to go to temples. Devotion is loved.
23) You don't like to go to temples - no problem. You are still a Hindu!
24) You know that Hinduism ☺ is a way of life, with considerable freedom.
25) You believe that everything has God in it. So you worship your mother, father, guru, tree, River, Prani-matra, Earth, Universe!
26) And If you don't believe that everything has GOD in it - No problems. Respect your viewpoint.
27) "Sarve jana sukhino bhavantu " (May you all live happily)

This is exactly the essence of Hinduism, all inclusive .. That is why it has withstood the test of time inspite of repeated onslaught both from within and outside, and assimilated every good aspects from everything . That is why it is eternal !!!
There is a saying in Rigveda , the first book ever known to mankind which depicts the Hinduism philosophy in a Nutshell -" Ano bhadrah Krathavo Yanthu Vishwathah"- Let the knowledge come to us from every direction "

Hinduism is not a religion, a religion has a founder and date of origin, Hindiusm means people living between river sindh and mighty himalayas. Actually it is called sanatana dharma. Sanatana means eternal which does not have begining and which does not have end. Dharma means ethics, morals, humanity.
Just so beautiful and true ancient artwork had been revived, I feel sad when Hindus are fooled by missionaries in india who only have an evil agenda of converting people into their political religion with pedophiles having high positions in the Vatican, I hope all Hindus wake up and see our true essence and know our ancient way of life rather than degrading to believing yourselves to be a sinner beacuse a book says so, we are all devine and we are all in God alredy, through yoga and bhakti to Paramatma we can attain moksha and don't have to fear a made up heaven or hell.
We need to raise up our children reading great books like Bagawad Geeta and Ramayana at least, if not all.

Dear Brother, many of my friends are Hindus. I have no issue with Hinduism. One concern is that not all missionaries are bad. There is difference between Catholic (Vatican based) and Protestant Missionaries. Their contribution to Indian Language, Education, Printing , Journalism and our Culture cannot be forgotten. Before they came, we had only Poems and don't know about pros or grammer. The work of Benjamin Bailey, Hermen Gundert exemplary. Gujarati, Hindi, Manipuri, Napali, Punjabi, Malayalam, Sindhi, Tamil, all books and news papers started by them. Do you know that we have slavery in India in 1700 - 1800. Untouchable, Down trodden women (force them to wear their upper clothes), Empowered women, stopped sathi, stopped human sacrifice, Head hunders in Nagaland turned to normal people, We chased lepers to jungle (Missionaries took them and treated them), best schools and colleges, Medical Colleges etc are their contribution. They empowered tribal people, Cashew, Groundnut, Tobacco, Coffee all are introduced in India by them. Even for banking, we owe them. I am not telling Indians are stupid. We are living in a world where we learn from them, they learn from us. Everyone needs others help.

- I don't believe in Hindu Gods
- I don't go to Temples
- I don't pray and my whole family knows I'm an Atheist
- I just follow Basic Hindu Culture celebration on certain days (Because they are fun and I like fun and happy events)
My entire family is still fine with me :D No one asks me why I don't pray, Why i don't believe in Hindu Gods, Everyone is so laid back and casual about it !!! This is what makes Hinduism great, You have complete freedom to follow your religious beliefs or not follow them at all !!!

This is basically a small community comprising the followers of a particular saint, this is actually one tiny fraction of Hindus. There would be many Tamils and South Indians who would feel more at home in temples having specific cultural ambience distinct from this one.
