  • Many business analysts aspire to move up the organization into business analysis leadership roles.
In this interview, Simon Wild brings his 20+ years of experience with him to shed some light for us on the things that BA leaders have to think about when managing analysts and products.
    00:00 - Start
00:35 - Can you tell us about yourself?
01:21 - Can you tell us about your experience implementing Agile in your organization?
06:00 - Can you speak to us about your experience creating a BA center of excellence (BACOE)?
09:28 - What are some of the challenges of coaching/mentoring team members?
11:02 - What are some of your experiences as a product manager in the past?
13:19 - How would you compare product management for internal vs. external products?
16:36 - How would you tackle a large initiative aimed at launching an entirely new product?
20:00 - What are some ways we can get uncooperative stakeholders to do more?
22:05 - Are there any approaches we can use as a last resort if stakeholders still refuse to work with us?

Emal thanks for making knowledge more available to the wider public. There is always a better way to do things and it doesn’t matter if you are a senior or junior analyst. We always learn new things.

Could you please give more details and examples on the buy in that you might not get from compliance. This is still very abstract and does not teach us anything beyond the surface.
Yes we understood getting buy ins from all stakeholders are important but can you pmesde dig more deeper into the topic giving a context so things make more sense and we can then apply that understanding to our situation.
