    I've got the same controller all you had robdo is solder the shunt bars nip the bars together then solder across the top the length of bar. It might blow a fuse if it's 30 amp use 35to40amp great torque and speed. You doe it the hard way

  • @colinwhite144
    @colinwhite144 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    That controller is the best one it's 35+1amp the mosfets are held with metal bars. You find the circuit is small in width that's to keep connroller cool most of controller the mosfets are screwed in at top against the side where heat greese is applied its normally white in colour to shunt that controller is the best one I've got the same and does work I blew 30mp fuse so I put 35amo fuse it's been fine never put 40to45to50amp as controller pop it would get to much current

    Is this video showing that you can increase the voltage directly at the controller without the need for a boost converter🤔 or are you also using a higher voltage battery. I have a 52v 23ah battery, 52 v 25amp controller, duel 1200w motors, 3 modes with variable speed throttle. I was considering trying boost converters going directly to the motors but wasn't sure I that would allow variable speed or just a constant higher voltage from the boost converter. I really just want to increase the top speed a little .Great video thanks .😀

      @skyslandmcplays4157 17 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      the controller just takes the voltage that comes into it. you still need a boost converter to get higher voltage. what he just did I think was to get more amps through the mosfets and more volts with the boost converter.

    Voltage is related to speed ...as long as you have enough wattage to carry that weight, the more voltage the faster you go ..simple mathematics :D

    ive seen higher on very slight inclines. Altho i cannot get the pedal assist to cooperate and is always full power so i switched back to the lcd8h. i did love the torque and speed with that controller.

    Just wondering if you Beefed up the shunts for the mosfets. More solder and wire as thay all are skimpy on production on the solder. An you could get away with 80 volt capacitors ....anyways that's how I'm gonna do mine .

    So if I understand correctly, the radpowerbikes stock (22a) controllers FET’s can handle up to 100 volts and the Bolton (35a) controller can handle up to 68 volts (or 63v according to the caps). Does this mean that the booster would work with the stock radpowerbikes controller even if you cranked the booster up to 68/70v ? You’d just lose a lot of torque because the stock controller is only 22A?

    Great video.
    Question, my battery is 48v 20ah. My controller is 48v 20ah. Manufacturer upgrade from 20ah b/c none in stock.
    Will this combo work? Heard it could damage battery. I use PAS too when riding.
    Hope you can help.

      You're not making sense, controllers don't have Amp Hours, they have AMPS

    You can remove your speed limiter to go faster

    Not worth it. Id rather invest In a 60V wicked freedom bike for 2k. That gives you 38mph top speed
