"Dont care about your books" 😂😂😂 I had the EXACT same reaction from my producer/showrunner 4 months ago. We are writing the Bible together now. Spec scripts are important. Just finish your scripts. Even if it's not good. Write. The more you do it the better you'll get at it.
When he mentioned that his books and plays got ignored in LA, I kind of understood that. I lived in LA in the mid 90s and regular people - people not in the industry at all- kept bothering me about writing scripts when they found out I was a freelance writer and I wrote articles. It's fascinating how the TV a n d Film world permeates all the strata of Los Angeles
