$220 is a wild about to pay for about 6 inches worth of rubber, but lets see if there is anything worth that price coming out of Everest watch bands. #everestbands #rolex #explorer
I got one for my Tudor Heritage Chrono and I’m very happy with it …. Yes it’s expensive for a rubber strap but not in relation to the price of the watch and it has exceeded every other rubber strap that I have owned as far as quality and fit and finish. Do it!
Thanks for the video and I'm with you.$220 for rubber is crazy. But what other real alternatives do we have that fit so well? Rubber B and Everest and both 200-250 right?
I purchased the brown curved leather band from Everest ($240.00) and it lasted all of 6 months before it started unraveling. I emailed them about this and all I got was the 7-day exchange only reply. Save your and go with a different brand.
I was on the fence about these and I still am. However, I appreciate the honest review and subbed because of it. When I first saw this band I instantly wanted it for my explorer. I just love a rubber band with a good clasp. But $220 is high. I thought a clasp came with it for that price.
Yeah it’s $220 for just the rubber. I do love that you use your own real Rolex clasp and not some cheap one (they do have the ones that are non claps straps) but I am wearing it a lot and do like it, it’s just a lot for what you get
I’d love to be able to just get a second Rolex clasp tbh. I wonder if I could just order one from Rolex. I can’t imagine how much that would cost though
One thing I forgot to ask: do you use loctite when swapping the clasp? I had to add a link to my regular bracelet and everyone told me to use loctite. I tried it first without it and it’s been fine. And I’m doing constant manual labor with the watch on. A ton of harsh movement, vibration, etc. But that might just be a fluke and maybe I should’ve used it
@douglasmstewart I didn’t but I have in my bracelet. It’s been fine without it so wonder if the rubber keeps whatever causes it to back out to a minimum
Ok thanks. And it’s entirely possible that the rubber dampens shock and vibration. I’m still on the fence about these straps. I think at $150 I wouldn’t even blink. Not sure why $220 seems so insane.
Couldn’t agree more I recently purchased a DASSARI fitted band for Rolex models for ~$100. Felt disappointed because it definitely shouldn’t have cost ~$100
How do you feel about the strap after a few weeks now? Still not worth? Also love how worn in your watch is, super cool and glad it is being enjoyed rather than babied
Hi man, Is the strap fit exactly as the steel bracelet? I’m kind of in between sizes right know. So I don’t know if I should expect the same fit. Slightly looser? Tighter? All this assuming I choose the same link configuration as the one I have on the bracelet. Thanks
The rubber is slightly looser than my watch bracelet. I usually have my clasp extension extended always on the metal but I can easily close it and still have room with the rubber
I think if you don’t think about the cost it’s amazing, I’ve been wearing it in hot climates and it’s super comfortable. Could you find a equal quality one for way less, I kinda think so but also for the cost of the watch it’s cheap so my decision is still out haha
Thats true, but that just opens the door for someone to come back a better product with better customer service because people will pay and Everest is working hard to not keep those customers
I think that this rubber strap doesn't look very good on your Explorer. I don't know if that's because of the "Everest" brand or the color. Maybe white would be better. On the Yachtmaster, however, I really like the Oyster-Flex.
In the same vein $9k for a Rolex is a lot of money. Seiko makes a great watch for $550. The bands are nice and the only option for a custom length - with Rubber B you have to cut the strap your self and the 6 o'clock side link is a fixed length. I do think Vanguard straps are similar quality for a lot less money ($120) but they do not offer a deployment clasp option - just tang.
I'd go for a 30 dollar StrapsCo oyster flex everyday of the week and twice on Sunday haha. On and at least it comes on a plastic bag instead of paper lol
Can buy 5 straps for this price, no thanks 😂 calling everest "custom made" is a joke aswell. No quick adjust, no quick release so what are you paying for?

Your watch looks great on the rubber, transforms it!
I do love it a lot, but feels still super pricey

Yeah for their prices they appear to have awful customer service

Yeah I’m torn because I do love it but less at that price
How do you feel about the strap after a few weeks now? Still not worth?

I do really enjoy it, and it’s a great product, but I still think the price for what you get is a bit steep

Thanks for the video very helpful. What size is your wrist for reference?
Right around 7.25 inches
I have the same watch! What do you think? I’m looking at Everest and rubber b. But part of me thinks I should just enjoy the oyster bracelet!

Does anyone else make one where the clasp attaches to it?
Rolex’s aren’t worth the asking price. Let’s be honest. You pay to play so buying the band isn’t that expensive when you factor in the watch price
Thats true, but that just opens the door for someone to come back a better product with better customer service because people will pay and Everest is working hard to not keep those customers
Nothing is worth the price its what people are willing to pay.
Good video. Is that the the 36mm Explorer, or the 40mm?
39! It’s the first version of the 214270
What other brands can you buy this from?
I looked at this company for my 39mm explorer, not sure I’m gonna pull the trigger. Looks good but a bit expensive
Agreed! This is the 39 as well, love the look but not the price

Eh I like it

I’ll give those a try next lol
They're really good, I really do recommend them
220????? AND NO CLASP INCLUDED, HHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH 🤣🤣🙂😂😂😅😅😆
They are $250 now!
Jeez, that is def too much lol
Absurd!
I think rubber straps make watches look cheap.
Some watches sure, but there are a lot with rubber that are stunning EXPENSIVE watches
Nice strap, not worth $220,
I’ve seen better for $50

You can buy 1000 watches for the cost of a Rolex, that isn’t a great argument on value.
@@NotAnotherWatchChannelthat’s a really great argument . Big difference in rubber straps and a Rolex watch
How to make an Explorer look s**t
