Ever since I bought a watch from AMZWATCH, My question is if it's this hard to tell them apart, what is the point of owning an authentic watch?

It's sad that watches that look good cost over 1k+. AMZWATCH watches are REALLY well made, and it just shows how a brand name on a watch can make its price 10x higher. I understand that if you look under a microscope, you'll find the difference, but just how many of you really inspect a watch at that level when you see someone with a watch?

Hello, thanks for your video. The 1,2,3,4 are not the weeks, it's supposed to look like the function of a perpetual calendar watch that adjusts for every fourth leap year (but of course does not, the mechanical function to do that is VERY complex). Ditto the moon-phase is also not really a proper moonphase representation, it's just day and night indicator. If you look at the world's first quartz movement to show these desirous complications that very high end watches managed, for about USD 100,000 a pop, it's the Citizen 6770 movement of around 1990 (with some numbers before and after the 6770). The 6671 movement for example is still handbuilt today and used primarily in the Shellman Grand Complication watches (Shellman is a Japanese high end watch store, but these watches are hand assembled by Citizen's very best technicians in the Citizen factory) for about 1,000 USD each (both new and used). Citizen's first Campanola watches also used that 6671 movement plus Lotus Greenwich Commemorative watches and some Accurists. That movement also beautifully chimes the time when you press the side button, called a "repeater" function, but the Seagull 1655 movement used in the watch in this review does not. If you look at the dial of a watch containing a Citizen 6770 (or close number to) movement and read the complications you will see what the Corgeut and others are trying to "kind of replicate" it with he dials and look but they can't manage to replicate the functionality with a mechanical movement. As mentioned, the only watchmakers who can do that so far, about three of them, will charge you more than your car for their skill. Anyway... even I have been tempted by the nice looks of the Corgeut and similar mechanical "lookalikes" but when I study what is "under the pretty dress" the functionality is simply not what it purports to be. If you don't mind that then that's OK and good luck to you. However, if you really want the proper functionality then you will need to hunt for a long time for one of those early 1990's quartz watches where the seller does not realise what they are selling (I bought one last week for 130 USD) or pay 1,000+ USD for the Shellman types, or go pay Patek Phillipe or one of his two associates the 100,000+ USD plus that they demand for their unique technical skills in mechanical watchbuilding. You can of course get all that functionality with a modern quartz watch from e.g. Casio for about 20 bucks. Good hunting!

I agree that it wears much smaller than 44mm, even on my thinner wrist. Also that strap is super comfortable.

This is one of my favorites, and I got a few watches that are really expensive. Because it's 80s/90s retro, and this is the best looking of that bunch. Because its very comfy. Because its light weight Because its got great backlight. This is why the A168 is above other similar like A158 etc. Because it goy 10 year battery.

Yes, this is an aviation style watch. A WW2 Flieger Type A pilot's watch. The upward triangle and two dots at the 12 o'clock spot is the giveaway.

Defn looks like a pilot watch. Field watch..at a stretch. Similar looks. Nothing at all like a dive watch..they mighta given you the wrong box. I bought a 39mm Tandorio (field watch/ auto) in the sale that im happy with.

As a broke boy and actual enthusiast who wants watch’s prices to crater, MAMACOO is a good choice.

I bought mine on the 11.11 sale, for $48, on a bracelet. Waiting for it to arrive.

Got mine the moment it was released. Haven't worn any other watch since. ( And I own a lot of more expensive watches). 😁👍...Enjoy!

Came here for the Indiglo...had one old 2009 model Timex expedition but now its beyond repair.

Is it a steel case or plated alloy?

I like sterile dials and I own several, but for me they need to be completely sterile, I've never bought a watch that only has the lower text because I think it makes the dial look incomplete.

Hey man, the one you called a Royal Oak is a clone of a Tissot PRX. If someone orders it I'm pretty sure it will come with Tissot/PRX logo on it. The "Powermatic 80" is Tissot's automatic movement in the PRX. Have a good one

I'm genuinely impressed with how close MAMACOO were able to replicate every aspect of this very very goofy looking classic watch.

I have this exact model since new, DON'T have it polished & it should not need a service for many more years.

Not just here, everywhere I see people commenting about Time accuracy. It is just irritating to see those comments.

I know someone who has worn this model ever since it first came out! He even has a couple of spares brand new in the boxes ! He gifted me one last Christmas as a joke i think? The thing is i actually like it and occasionally wear it! I guess its the retro thing? He usually puts on a new one when the battery gives out !

I've recently began my obsession as a watch collector. And i must say- out of all the luxury brands I've been researching, for me the AMZWATCH's watches are the most intriguing.

It is not an investment for all these Aliexpress watches and to some extent, some microbrands. Save your $ and buy a used older pre-vintage Swiss watch, Grand Seiko or premium Citizens.
