This video is exceptional!! It's by far the easiest and most informative instructional video I've ever come across. I LOVE the fact that the instructor didn't waste his and my time spending half the video flapping his lips trying to explain what his video was going to show us what or how to do it. That's so annoying. It isn't like we won't be seeing what to do essentially.Thank you very much, Tyler Barton for taking the anticipation and anxiety out of what I thought would be a daunting task. A lot of people could learn how to do a video right from you.
Great video. I want to put the alcantara material on my 2013 and watching this gives me the confidence to tackle the job myself. Thanks for posting this.
Thanks so much. Just bought a 2005 mini for $800. Needs work but help when you have videos like this. The right quarter window and back window were broken. That's $800 fix itself, but still worth the car's value.
Thank you for your video. I have a mini r50 from 2001. there are things that are little different but it will be very helpful to restore my car . Have a nice day 😁
Is it possible to take off the old textile and glue that back on? Because mine is perfect and not dirty at all, could I take off the old foam, glue it on and stick it back?
Not recommended, you need to used a foamed fabric. If you do as you wrote it won't fit well. Another tip is using a solvent to clean the roof before gluing the fabric.
trying to fix mine right now. i took the headliner out a couple month ago and i’m just now getting back to it. there is a wire in the back that hangs down i can see it in your video as well where does that plug in at? thanks
Here is the one I got www.amazon.com/dp/B06WP5WBXG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_ZVMB8FPRWWKNT9Z7R95X?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 And then I just got the 3m headliner adhesive off Amazon

Straight forward video, no chit chat in the beginning of the video. No wasting time
Great Video! No talking just doing the work with no gaps in the video. Thanks for the instructions!

Man handled tf out of that headliner 😅
Thanks for this video it will probably helps a lot of us, did you remember wich type of spray did you use for this?
Hi, yeah it was the 3M headliner adhesive spray.
@@ifly891 thanks mate!
@@dicappa.7298 seems 3M is the most recommended. I'll be using it as well.
What is the appropriate name for the vent cover and where can I buy one?
How long did you wait to put it back in? Does the glue need to dry for a day or 2?
@@GoPercyGo I put it back in the same day. It cures very quickly
Where did you order your materials and upholstery?

Hi, it attaches in the vent cover seen at 2:11. Let me know if you have any trouble
T Barton my vent doesn’t seem to have a place for it to plug into.
@@nathanzemany3390 so it doesn't actually plug into an electrical connection, it just has a slot that it slides into.
thank you very much!
What was the little tool you used to clean off the headliner before adding fabric ?
It was just a stiff bristle brush.
Do you remember what the dimensions of the material or where you ordered it from?
