Watching this video throws me for such a loop. I became acquainted with Dr. Janz when he was teaching philosophy in Langley, BC. He's a gifted academic. It's hard to imagine a professional philosopher with a background in pop music--amazing guy.
This is so awesome I just don't know which order I should say this. Not only is this a great Canadian song, but also a great '80s song. Or, not only is this a great '80s song, but also a great Canadian song.
I agree. I just discussed this song with our drummer last night and will be looking at covering it. It's a brilliant song. Great arrangements and vocals.
Man, fair play. I thought I would just type I go to pieces on the search, hoping to find our who sung this song and there it was... Paul Janz!! Incredible! I have not heard this song for over 20 years!! Awesome and it was so funny to see the video again after such a long time! the song still rocks too! HA HA
I found this out while I was attending classes at Trinity Western University in Langley, BC (near Vancouver) back in 2004. He was a professor in the Theology department. Wish I would have taken the time to get to know him while I had the chance. He has since moved on to a position in London, England.
On this song and "Flippin' to the A Side," some people are getting all caught up in these bands looking effeminate. Did these people live in the '80s? This was the way people rocked.
I do remember this song very well, I was necking with my first gf at the time it was on the radio... it always brings back good mems.. and thanks for posting it :)
Hi-Paul sang with Ken&Danny Janz,JackStenekes,Vern Giesbrecht(my cousin),Herb Remple in Deliverance. They were the 70's version of Delirious- in Germany.
and I enjoyed the era of layered vocals. Clearly in that regard they borrowed from Bands like Chicago TOTO, Journey etc. Also like me they are Canadian. I didn't realize that was his brother and thanks for the upload

That's one of the best of Canadian rock.
I was a big Paul Janz fan back in the 80's
I really like this song. I remember seeing this video on MuchMusic back in the 80's.

I love this song and wow does it take me back. I just came home from a challenging day at work but now I feel like dancing around the house!

What a great song. One of the most underrated Canadian acts of the 80's.
Must say this video did nothing to help his career.

Update he is in London now ,teaching.
He supervises a friend of mine who's working on his doctorate in theology.
This tune needs to be covered/re-tooled big time!
