Harper has a bad habit of showing her cards too soon. She reveals vital information too soon to the wrong people.

That's not her problem. Her problem is that she makes money off legal grey areas-- which, by the way, is how a lot of Wall St. players make money. She's got balls-- literally. She holds herself like a man and treats men like they're toys. She's learning to operate in that corrupt world-- and she's not out of the game yet. Pierpoint is rotten to the core and she bet the farm on it going to zero. That could still happen. She's not the badguy, she's the Scarface-- the antihero.

@@SuperRobertoClemente yeah but she still shows her hand too soon. That’s her problem.

@@blackdateline1996 Sometimes her wild ambition pays off, as it did when she secured capital to start LeviathanAlpha. With the short, she thought the stock price was about to bounce back up, which would have lost them hundreds of millions of dollars. She had no choice. But yes, sometimes she jumps the gun, and she's way too quick to try to fuck with people.

PETRA got on my nerves! All this time she knew 1) Harper's got beef with Pierpoint. 2) Harper's intel & [killer] instincts are on point. 3) Harper had a solid plan to take Pierpoint down from the inside using insiders, inside info, and others who have beef with Pierpoint. 4) And they stood to make a TON of money from it.
Petra walks around like she's some kinda edgy predator, but when it's time to strike she lost her nerve and had to run tell "Daddy" (Otto) on Harper. I have a feeling he's going to recognize Harper's hunger and killer instinct, and hire her for himself in HIS business.

@@gun_toting_lefty Everybody has their own line that they won’t cross. Petra doesn’t pretend to be a nice person but her line is legal. She is not down with breaking the law. Once she knew Harper had potentially broken insider trading laws by using privileged information she had crossed that line.

how was it a killer plan? she overheard speculation in the bathroom, and didn't expect pierpoint to try everything to stay afloat? I don't think that Harper ever has any plan, she sees it as a game but she never considers that she is not the one setting the rules for it, heck she is not even near the room where the rules are set

Otto is gangster and will probably get rid of Petra for doing that. He knows who he backed in Harper. He also knows that if they're investigated, it's Harper who will take the fall and end up in jail. Eric spared her that last season by firing her (even though it also helped him). Otto is Sosa.

I think Bill is just as evil as Eric. Their relationship is just a microcosm of that entire world. Remember when Bill pulled Eric from floor? This was just payback. Besides, Bill only had Eric in the room to use him to sell his plan to sell to Japan. The only redeemable person may be Rob and that's because he's actively looking for a way out. Every other character in the show is either consumed by greed or doing selfish actions.

Eric decided if he is gonna be a useful idiot he is gonna be useful for the people who don't have a terminal illness. in his position it makes sense

    • @SuperRobertoClemente
      @SuperRobertoClemente 3 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

Exactly-- Bill only starts to look sympathetic when he has a weakness. We've seen him treat Eric like shit and muse about possibly closing the whole London office if it suited him. Even as a dying man, he's got a wild glint in his eye, because he, too, has fucked over everything else to get there. All that's left is the high of the right trade at the right time. He underestimated Eric because he's Asian and played the part of the "loyal lieutenant."

not sure rob is afraid to shoot his shot, I feel like he is almost beyond it i.e. "we are past the games" line. His character development/emotional maturity has almost accelerated faster than yas, and its showing. Her story arc is also building and I think theres going to have to be a pivotal decision for her that will either propel her into a new character arc, or solidify her as her current flaws. I also think this season has been intentionally confusing us all for who is a villain. Eric from this episode is terrible, but similarly, he has had positive moments this season showing up for yas, rob, and rishi, and bill. Harper has also had a back-and-forth villain arc, where now in this episode I am rooting for her. The writers in the show are so good, and I love how each episode deepens the plot of the seasons, and is never predictable.

The name the show is Industry. I think the premise of the show isn’t just what the industry does to people but also what type of people are attracted to the industry. Eric is an awful human being and he doesn’t even realize it. As far as Harper and the sleeping around thing, if she was a man it probably would’nt matter and I think that’s the point.

Eric is just as bad as you say but I think you are giving the others too much of a pass. Rishi cannot blame his gambling on Eric and not his porn addiction or affairs. Sweetpea knows he is married and just had a baby. Yasmin I think may have been abused by her dad or maybe pressured to do things by her dad with business associates of his when she was a teenager. Her dad has something to do with her man and relationship issues. Rob and Anraj are ineffective at their jobs because they weak and weak people can get taken advantage of in any environment. Wilhelmina also makes me sick. If not for stupidity as CFO and her ESG investment nobody would be in this current mess.

I'm thinking Yasmin suffered some overt or covert sexual abuse at the hands of her father.

MacG who are you predicting will die or get badly hurt in the final episode (S3 E8)? Bill (illness), Rob (car accident driving back from Wales / Yasmin), Harper (Otto’s muscle man), Rishi (Vinay the loan shark muscle), Anraj (heart attack when he gets jiggy with Sweetpea), Petra (Harper convinces Otto it was Petra & not Harper mismanaging Otto’s invested funds), Eric (Bill hires someone)?

I think Harper's going to be OK because in the preview they show her in a meeting with Otto and later she's talking to someone else [with a different outfit on]. My money's on Petra because she lost her nerve and didn't go through with the deal before Pierpoint got rescued. I'm betting Otto will hire Harper for her killer instinct.

Okay, don't be sexist about Harper and Yas, all these men be sleeping around too, so let's not do this double standard crap. These people are professional sharks male and female period.

Also there is NO WAY Yas and Rob end up together. I know actual people like Yas, with that kind of money. They don't "marry down"-- and if they do, it don't last long. Also, both she and Rob were abused by their parents. They're not wired to be with people who treat them well.

Yasmin has slept with most of her clients. I dont think Rob sees Yas as a healthy person. The allure of Yas has left him. She is a *exual deviat. He knows her gane but has a good heart and is trying to help her in her tine if need. The chemistry between Harper and Rib in the early seasons was amazing but Yas interfered with her *exual mind games.

Rob has slept with clients and has done things with people who work at Pierpoint, that Asian man who was with him in the steam room for example. When Yas told him this would all be so simple if you fell in love with me and all Rob did was stand there in the street with that dead expression that was it for me with him.

Eric is the man! I loved it when he said, “Spend more time with the kids..” Exactly the SAME words Adler used on him when Eric was getting pushed out in Season 2. This is investment banking. It’s kill or be killed. Eric is the ONLY character who acknowledges and honest: I believe in the trade (bathroom scene). Yaz is clowning herself. She sleeps around but thinks she has talent to be a trader. Well now that her dad died with 1000 allegations of sexual harassment, she doesn’t have money to fall back on. Harper ‘s heel turn is intriguing. If she gets nailed for insider trading, jail is a certainty in the UK.

Apparently in a trailer before season 3 started it shows Yasmin wearing a wedding ring, does she marry Muck or Rob in S3 Ep 8?
