I've been there as a kid in the mid-seventies, so cool! But back then you couldn't walk through the houses and railroads anymore like in the video. The kids probably caused too much damage by mistake? Anyway, it's a great place to visit, highly recommend! 👍🏻
2:37 notice the shacks in the background, probably post-ww2 emergency buildings. 3:31 the real airplane can now be visited in Madurodam. 4:17 amazingly at least some of those real houses in the background survived. I checked a recent video about Madurodam. Much of this is gone, replaced by more detailed buildings showing bricks. The scratchbuilt little people are now made by Preiser .

Original gauge was 56mm. After the Dutch cable factory (NKF) stopped supplying the bespoke drawn rail lenghts Madurodam changed over to the somewhat heavier LGB rail section. This gave a slightly narrower gauge so all the orignal rolling stock had to be re-gauged.
