Which Mortal Kombat Game do YOU Hate the Most?? Post in the Comments!
@Slipstreamz agreed
No MK 11 sucked when it came out and it still sucks NGL. I loved MKX from release to finish. Hell I remember going over to my friends house in Oregon when it first came out and I walked in to my friends in their underwear pulling an all nighter on MKX and as soon as I walked in they threw me the controller and told me to put their friend in his place because he was bad mouthing Cassie cage all night
people be hating on the latest game but still playing it like crazy
tbh mk4
@@chad4life1 True. That means that we are real mk fans. For example I don't like mk11 but I will buy everything mk related because at the end of the day it's my favourite series. So that might explain that for others as well.
I remember when people hated MKX because MK9 was better. Then MKX was suddenly a masterpiece when MK11 came out. You are absolutely correct.
But out of the 3 MK9 is still the best... If it would have the fighting system of MKX, 9 would be perfect
MK Armageddon, MK9, and MKX are my favorites.
@@mistervanwyk7405 I liked X the best because they hit the character designs out of the park and it was a super aggressive game.
Ppl don't cherish things in the moment
Yeah. Downhill. Very astute.
As soon as I saw Tremor and the word *"worst"* in the thumbnail, I knew the topic would be about Special Forces.
Same

I love how mk11 gets shit talked for having zoners, when mk9 has freddy and kenshi...

@@howaboutsomesoyfood i think armageddon was worse in terms of balannce, expecially kreate your character.
@@B1g_B0sssss and the top tiers were godlike like sareena
Mk11 gets shit talked by all mkx idiot fan childrens. They complain about the game beign slow (I don't see them doing flawless blocks), they complain that the game doesn't have combos (literally every mk11 youtuber made awesome combos with every character but just because is not like mkx then they cry), they complain about having a bad story (every mk has a bad story, mk9 was good enough only because it was a reset), they complain because broken characters (like jaqui briggs full auto never existed, or any of the dlc characters). In conclusion: MKX fans are a bunch of crybabies and will do the same with MK12 when it comes out and the first second they see that the healthbars are not black and white that will be their first complain and won't stop for years, because till this day they still talking s h i t about mk11, like this game ruined their lifes or smt. As I said before, a bunch of crybabies, and minorities btw, mk11 is much appreciated than X. Cry, Stevie D

I'm surprised you didn't mention the storymode expansion as one of the reasons people hate MK11. They pretty much butchered Sindel's story because "she looked like a villain".
I will never get over the irony of the trans dev at NRS having that stance. Telling me that because she looks like a villain she should be treated as such is mind blowing.
@@aerostrafe1075 I feel like you’re trying to be transphobic by pretending to have a point.
@@marillstreep5005 we dont care abt that shit brah just the game tbh
@@marillstreep5005 i think aero is just saying Trans dont wanna be judged by how they look ( not all LOOK like how they iditify LETS BE REAL) when they should be the ones supporting the " dont judge a book by its cover " saying yet they did that with sindel...... also can i add they tried to coverup and de sexualize characters but made Sindel the HORNIEST character in the fucking game and she even has a butt crushing blow........ make it make sense
It wasn’t sindel’s retcon that was just hated. The entire story is a literal clusterfuck, powerscaling is still terrible even on villains side (Shang only wins fights bcoz of the crown, Fights are chosen by you which means shao Kahn gets no official wins unless confirmed by devs he won some fights in aftermath which is bad since he has no wins this timeline, how does shao beat liu, how does sindel beat lao despite beating her murderer and Shang and noob in mk9), the reasons do not make sense of why plot points happen, wtf happened to other characters etc.
Sindel’s retcon just happens to be the most popular, out of all the terrible stuff in mk11’s story
I miss Mythologies. I never got good enough to speed run it, but I did manage to become one of the players who made it look easy. Being so out of practice, however...
That game used to make me angry. You have the patience of Job. Couldnt even figure out how to beat that first wind boss. Fujin I think?
Many people hated that game, but I was a fan.
I saved cans for months whehn i was probably ten years old to buy that game from a sears. In fact it just left me along woth all my other 64 and wii games a couple years ago after a hurricane when i had some of my keepsakes at a family members house and they came up missing.

“They say the previous game is better”
I think that’s every game series, not just MK. COD in particular
I pray that doesn’t happen with Vanguard, that game was genuinely awful
Ummm MW2 with vanguard?
Yeah that's not the case with Vanguard
Nah, there are plenty of games where people agree the newest installment is better than prior games. Some people even have recency bias and like to pretend all the previous games were bad, God of War 2018 is a good example. Also to be fair the new COD games are all shit so not liking the new ones is a normal reaction.
@@Cadaverous0711except for Vanguard, hating the new CODs is an odd reaction
I Know they were rarely successes but i love that Midway/NetherRealm were making games outside of the main series. It may sound silly but i would kind of like to see a reimagining of _MK: Special Forces_ and _MKM: Sub-Zero_ but with bigger budget and more fleshed out cause those game on paper could have been amazibg but the execution was poor due to rush and such. I think that with the experience and right people maybe they could give us a game that live up to those great concept.
Sub zero could work similar to a game like Sifu but with ice powers
It would be cool which is why I always laugh at people that hate on “casual fans”, but in the same breath they want bigger rosters and bigger budgets.

It'a just like with Dark Souls. The hardest souls game of all times is the one you played first.

Not for me, played 3 first, it was hard, but didn't bend me into the acute angle 1, 2 or Demons Souls did.

The first mk game I ever played
Had absolutely no idea that many people didn't like MK11. I personally loved it no less or more than X since I did and still see Mortal Kombat games as just fun fighting games to play with friends
It’s not necessarily mk11, just whichever game is newest at the time
One thing I really hope they do is bring back the customization of mk 11 and the pick you special move. I loved making different builds tp use for the same character
Mk 11 isn't as fun to me as 10, but I still like it.
Mk trilogy and mkx were my favorites. Mk11 has so much that i love, like the customization but the combos were not as satisfying to perform. Felt like something was missing from them.
Mk11 destroyed my enthusiasm for the series. So much wasted potential, more time travel, and grinding.
Well...here we are with mk1...and exactly what you said was gonna happen, happened
I love how this cycle has begun to repeat once again. Now that MK1 is out people are saying how amazing MK11 was and how the newest game might just be one of the worst in the series. MK1 is still a good game imo but of course people will only realize it when MK2 comes out
8:45 this aged like wine
For MK11 I think fatal blows just need a longer cool down if missed. Some custom moves should be defaults or be reduced to one, Nightwolf having to spend one point for a command grab and two foe either if his only launcher options that he should have by default is quite silly. Yeah, Robocop also has a spend a point for his but Robo's is one of the best in game.
Krushing blows are mostly okay but some need a look at because of how hard they are to fulfill or how good they are. I think some should have a scaling of sorts where when used in combos or in neutral. Like one could do weak standalone but at the end if a combo does more and vice versa. NRS can really be creative with these.
I also just have to unironically agree. 11 was just.. not fun. The grind was awful, the balance was awful, the new characters were lame.
Seeing a mkx character on the thumbnail almost gave me a heart attack
Mk11 is the modern day worst mk game...the game don't even have test your might...
Objectively mk 11 isn't a bad game even if some of the new mechanics aren't your style, it's still an extremely well made game
Pretty graphics and good voice acting is not enough to make a game good. It also has to be fun, well designed, narratively well written, balanced and well scored. Mk11 just isn’t.
@@voiceunderthecovers "fun", "well scored", "well designed" lmao you're acting like those are objective, and it's a well balanced game

Soul Calibur 1 and 2 were the most "perfect" fighting games to come out EVER. They both got 10/10 scores upon release, a feat I do not believe have been duplicated by any other Fighting Game since then.
Because it was a 10/10 at the time. It's hard to constantly push the envelope. Soul calibur 6 has way more content and deep mechanics than soul calibur 2. Nostalgia is simply too strong and 10/10s don't mean shit.
@@funnfungusie9622 Maybe it's just me but I still prefer the flow of fights in SC2 compared to 6. I dunno what it is but that one has stayed stronger for me than the newer games. Even in it's rerelease I 100%'d it.
As great as those 2 were, I still prefer Soul Calibur 3 over them all. 2 reasons: The roster and Chronicles of the Sword.
@EnvaReaver yeah that's the thing. Nostalgia is just too strong. I'm the same way because soul calibur 2 was my first fighting game. But it's unfair to expect recent game to beat these games when nothing ever will in our minds. It's unachievable expectations. I didn't play soul calibur 1 so I can't say much on that one
@@funnfungusie9622 When you say "deep mechanics" you are likely talking about all of the unnecessary combo, super, and meter related mechanics added.
Unfortunately, I don't believe that these mechanics have lead to an increase in gameplay or game longevity. IMHO, depth should be derived from the simplicity of and dependability of the gameplay mechanics not by way of frame data, meter mechanics, and combo mechanics. This is where you lose the majority of people.
The Simplicity and subsequent depth of the gameplay is why SC1 and SC2 is legendary.
Largely, the mechanic made sense and the addition of 8 way run and GI/GR opened a portal to this experience for everyone to try and learn the game. Few games have achieved this.
I don’t like MK11 for the simple reason that I just think all of the characters are ugly.
Special forces is such a good idea, just make it a Soulslike, have it be co-op Jax X Sonya. Holy shit that sounds so fun.
I think the biggest issue with the MK spinoffs, is they came out too early.
Had Special Forces come out in 2009, as a Gears of War type game, nobody would have really hated it.
Same with Sub-Zero. Hell, give me a Sub-Zero or Kenshi led game with Team Ninja at the helm. That shit would be amazing.
Doesen't matter how many MKs come forward i will never ever hold MK11 to any regard besides the fact that its mid.
Homogenized roster, horrible mechanics that breaks pacing like pressing on a honey ham, incredibly limited playstyles, the removal of iconic moves on characters, probably the single worst written story in fighting games and riddled with fake advertising and unnacomplished promises
Dude, whenever Scorpion says “GET OVER HERE”, people act like Markiplier said “Was That The Bite Of 87?!”
I didn't realize how many of the mortal kombat community agreed with me that mk11 is worse than some previous entries. MKX will always be my favorite
That's a scam bot above me. If you don't see it then my report worked
I doubt many were pining for the "good old days" of MK vs. DC when MK9 released...
6:08-6:14 Especially true if you’ve seen the outtakes, which are included in Deception.
The “speedrun” point on MKM: SZ also applies to The Lost World on the PS1. Lots of people say that game is really hard, but as a veteran of it, I can 100% DNA (the extra collectible for getting an extra cutscene at the end and accessing galleries of each character) that game in 2 hours or less and make it look easy, which sounds a lot like what you described with MKM: SZ.
I keep hoping mrgstar321 will eventually do a playthrough of special forces lol
Right? I wish he’d come back 😢
I have a lot to say about these two games...
First off: In all my years playing the MK games, the only game I never played or owned was MK: Special Forces. It never appeal to me when it was new. And judging from past reviews & research, I don't think I really missed much, aside from the introductions to a few Black Dragon members...
As for MK Mythologies: Sub Zero, I have actual nostalgia for it. Because when I got my first PS1 as an X-mas gift in 1997 at the age of 13. The first 3 games I got for it were The "Greatest Hits" version of Tekken 1, Hasbro's Frogger, and MK: Mythologies: Sub-Zero. As somebody who's actually played this game after Ultimate MK3 for Super Nintendo, the combo mechanics felt 2nd nature to me to a certain degree. Shockingly, MK9 and even MKX made small callbacks/shout-outs to this game whenever they mention Bi-Han's past and the significant role he played in stopping Shinnok.
As for your analysis of Fighting Game Sequels as a whole on why they're capable of being the "Most Hated". As long as a brand keeps changing the gameplay mechanics, it's going to have its detractors/fans. Soul Calibur V, for instance, was so bad, it sort of rebooted the franchise with VI and not even Namco wants to acknowledge SC V's existence and this is further proven when the audio soundtrack of SCV is nowhere to be found within SC VI. And DOA is already said to be getting a Reboot after the poor reception of their 6th game...
In my eyes people hate mk11 for two reasons
1- katana beats shao Kahn ??? Nope
2- kotal Kahn died in his own reveal trailer !!! Disgusting fr
The powerscaling was all over the place in mk11 lmao
@@nabilahmed579 seriously ! I mean no bosses go out like that. Made both of them look like big children.
Can you do a video on the opposite, but avoiding the mainstream fighting game genre? Don't get me wrong, I like those games, but it's really nice to watch someone review games like Special Forces or Shaolin Monks and can expand my knowledge of Mortal Kombat outside of fighting games
Special forces looks like it could have been a really cool predecessor to shaolin monks but unfortunatly was handled very poorly
The reason I like X more than 11 is because the combos were fun to do and felt better to do, and also I like the gritty animation, and I also hate the hell out of the breakaway system.
My dude started the list with Worst Mortal Kombat and switched it to most hated 😂😂😂😂. Not the same thing
I can confidently say that the last point has been proven wrong now that mk1 is our. Yes it is a one time thing but a lot of people, myself included, prefer the gameplay of mk1. 11 had better customization, spawn was in the game and graphically it was beautiful but the gameplay was so boring that it renders all that useless.
Not really as rn Mk1 is suffering of low interest by a lot of players for maybe a month now.
8:38, aged like fine milk
The opening film of the Jax spinoff is an acid trip.
Which Mortal Kombat Games do I hate :
MK4 : It was just a joke, a bad one. worst mechanics, terrible gameplay
MKvsDC Universe : an actual MK game (Mortal Kombat 8) was cancelled because of that failed trash reboot
MK11 : well, mostly because of political reasons. but i also dont like how game plays and athmostphere of the game. I am not a fan of MK11 skins either
We need an updated list now that mk1 is out
There's only two things I don't like about mk11's story. Sindel is evil and Kronika should have predicted what everyone was going to do after watching them for eons.
Funny how they want people to forget that special forces exist but then the decided to add tremor ad DLC in MKX kinda ironic huh
I think it was to redeem Tremor.... cause i also think Tremor started off as a fan community creation much like Chrome is now or even Hydro
@@theartisticvampire2598 No Tremor originated in Special Forces, no inspiration from fan creations.
MK11...Man, what a disappointment.
My rule for all fighting games is never play online the first month because that’s when everyone has the most insane characters in the roster and it’s usually just sweats that get the game that early
Man, i remember going to a Blockbuster in the late 90's and seeing MK Mythologies. We rented it for 3 days and i think through that entire weekend, my brothers and i only managed to beat the first two levels. I think we even took it back early cause we hated it sm.
I actually liked Special Forces... But i didn't know it was a MK game.(i didn't speak English at the time).
The mk symbol
I'm actually surprised you didn't mention Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe. I mean I'm a sucker for crossovers but I understand why it is dislike for neutering the blood and gore.
I do wish their would be a modernized rpg mk game option. Deceptions konquest mode was amazing at the time
MK11 gets crapped on because it doesn't have enough bullshit. MKX? Full of bullshit. MK9? Bullshit from the ground up. The most popular fighting games of all time are pure bullshit. CvS2? Bullshit. MvC2? Bullshit. Third Strike? Bullshit. Super Turbo? Bullshit. MK9 is no exception to this. Yes, MK11 is currently in the "Zelda Cycle" right now but its still never going to be some wildly beloved fighting game because the bullshit is so scarce. It will just be shit talked slightly less once MK12 launches.
Its mainly because of zoners, but mk9 had kenshi and freddy (which were both dlc characters btw!). So you should be happy we don't have those. And in my opinion they should bring back the meter burn system.
@@B1g_B0sssss Nah I’d rather have Kenshi and Freddy. And Kabal, Sonya, Cyrax, Smoke, Johnny, Reptile, even Sheeva had her own brand of bullshit in MK9. Sheeva almost got to have bullshit in MK11 but it got patched out.
Oh and MK11 does have the meter burn system. Offensive meter is your meter burn stuff and defensive meter is stuff that used stamina in MKX. Some things have been altered to use a different kind of meter, like juggle breakaway uses defensive meter while combo breaker took two offensive meters and a meter of stamina. But the underlying idea is still there.
I think one of the worst things about MK Mythologies Sub-Zero is the fact that you only get a tutorial on Easy difficulty
I'm surprised I thought it was gonna be mk vs DC
But bro, hating a game doesn't mean its the worst
My most hated Mortal Kombat game is 11.
It's not because it's the newest game, rather it's because of everything that is in it.
The designs, the female characters are so poorly designed. Impractical designs that cover way too much, that is contradicted by the male revealing skins. It took then DLC to fix most of it. It took more money to fix it. Like wtf.
Gameplay: The game is fluent, sure. However it's not as fast as X or even 9. There's less creative combos which makes the game boring as hell. You can predict most if not all combos.
Roster: This has to be the worst roster yet. This roster is trying to be MK9 with barely any unique stuff.
There's no obscure character as DLC. MK9, had Skarlet, X had Tremor, but there's no one for 11. It feels shallow and just a cheap cash grabs. Especially with a certain character in KP2.
Modes: There's a lackluster range of modes. Sure, this has been a problem since X but X was fun and I do think it was superior to MK9 because of the speed.
Other issues: The tech you have to learn is so unnecessary.
Online only modes are also very frustrating, yes we live in a day where wifi is available constantly. The issue is when those servers go down (eventually permanently) the game will be unplayable. This is made even worse because the previous NRS game, Injustice 2 has offline Multiverses you can play without needing to be on the server for.
So with needless online only bullcrap, terrible roster (and DLC), and lame gameplay, MK11 is easily the worst mainline series game.
Cover too much??? Idk if thats an objective flaw or just you being horny
@@guywithreallybadchannelnam6184 Objctive flaw. In fact TrueUnderDawg made an entire video about it.
@@Jaysonthevoltalorian so women being covered up is an objective flaw with the game? Also are they even that covered up? I have the game and some of them are dressed sluttier than an onlyfans model on halloween.
@@guywithreallybadchannelnam6184 Their Klassic outfits sure. However most of their defaults are terrible.
What costumes were you referring to?
MK9 is still my favorite. If only the server connections didn't suck
I despise mk11 half the time the moves I use don't work and the other half the time it makes me do a move with completely different buttons
I know you hate the Fatal Blow mechanic and I get why it's infuriating as a desperate move, but this game made me a better fighting game player because of Fatal Blows.
Everyone can call me low tier if they want, but for every game I'd save up meter and cash it in with a Super Move/Super Combo. It's a terrible strategy, but I could save up for guaranteed damage if I landed the Super.
Now that I didn't have to save it, I started to explore Meter Burning and Defensive Meter. Stuff I'd never use before because I saved meter for my crutch. I began to extend combos. I wasn't afraid to cancel out of moves or roll escape. I'm probably still behind being called a good player, but it definitely made me a better player than I was.
So while it sucks to have a close match end with someone landing a cheap Fatal Blow to end it, I'm sure there's players like me who didn't feel we were giving up a reliable move by learning to use meter now. Fatal Blows may come with their down side, but I'm thankful for them being there and allowing me to learn to be a better player.
I think it was a move to help casual players, like myself and maybe you, to have a chance at turning the fight in our favor.
Honestly, it's not as cheap as someone getting beat up and then the person beating them also gets their special move.
I totally agree with you TrueUnderdawg, the latest game is always the worst, time often brings fondness. From all the main titles I have played, I enjoyed Mortal Kombat 3 the least. I don't know why but I found the game play underwhelming, the character list was not the best and the fatalities were pretty poor. Best thing about Mortal Kombat 3 was the cyborgs and Sindel, especially Sindel.
Sub-Zero mythology and MK-4 tied for the worst. "Most recent game" is a cop out. I expected better from you. Maybe it is for competitive but I think the only times the games actually got significantly worse was MK3 to MK4 and Deception to Armageddon. MK11 is worse than IX and X but not significantly as much even though the direction NRS is going with the story is absolutely alarming.
Hello UnderDawg, whose is that mask behind you? That's right Sub-Zero's fan 😌
As cheesy as fatal blow is I really hope it makes a return in some form. The big super moves in NRS games always look so fucking cool but up untill MK11 you rarely saw/used them in gameplay. I really hope they find a way to balance the mechanic
I was surprised you didn't even mention MK vs DC
I was surprised people hated the game. I enjoyed it so much. It's an okay game but the mechanics are so strange. Yet I rather prefer it over MK11.

It’s been the exact same with cod for the longest time, with a lot of different game genres now that I think about it. I really wonder why it’s almost consistent across the board that people hate the newest one and love the one they used to hate
Tbf, I don't remember people hating MK9 when it was new
Brilliant points (especially on primacy bias about how recent games are always the most hated) and awesome list. Sub-Zero > All.
it's funny because the patterns hold even after MK1 comes out.
Every game critique should give 1 point to any more game they review just because of the soundtracks
People only hating on MK 11 cus of the story but who tf plays a fighting game for the story?????
I feel MK 11 is more justified with its recency biased hate. MK 11 has boring gameplay, they politicized Shao Khan, they made Sindel evil because they're too stupid to look past someone's appearance and fully believe in the "judge a book by its cover" mentality, there are a medley of reasons to hate MK 11 and I don't think it's just a bunch of people on a forum complaining for the fun of it.
How was Shao Kahn politicized? Because he said, "Make Outworld great again?" That REALLY got people's panties in a bunch?
As for boring gameplay, I'd argue Armageddon was worse. Everyone played the same except for specials. Even the boss characters played the same. I agree with the Sindel thing, however. Honestly, I wouldn't say MK11 is the worst. If we're going purely by mainline fighting games, I'd argue MK3 for its piss roster. It's a good thing UMK3 and Trilogy came out so people ignore it.
Actually dumb to say mk11 is the worst mortal Kombat
Politicized?
I never heard of special forces in til I saw a video about defeating bosses
So I have a few thoughts, and I actually like how you called people out for hating new fighting games, especially considering, if there is a Greek God for hating new things, that's me.
That said, there is a true and universally hated MK game that you didn't mention to my surprise, that being MK vs DC. I know it has its fans, and I used to be one of them, but across the board, boring MK will always be the worst MK.
Second, talking about Scorpion never getting his main character status, while you are correct, no game ever touched that raw nerve like deception, in which he becomes the literal true champion of the elder gods to slay Onaga and stop Shujinko, and he STILL isn't the damn main character. That has to hurt.
Third, in talking about the new game being all around hated, I feel that, because I have to live with the fact that my new favorite character for all of MK, Skarlet, will never be as awesome as she was in MK11, assuming she ever even shows up again. I absolutely adore this character (Outside the story mode for obvious reasons), and most likely she'll never be so badass again.
Totally agree about Skarlet, love her so much but doubt we will see her in quite some time. She is hands down my favourite character in Mortal Kombat 11.
@@Riz_ Same, such a shame.
MK v DC wasn't boring though
@@channel45853 I do have to humbly disagree. The gameplay was underwhelming, the music was the start of MK having the blanket most generic music, and the character designs, for the most part, were as little effort as possible. It was a game that cruised on its premise alone, which, while interesting, is just not compatible. An MK game against Batmans rogues gallery alone would have been amazing, but the rest of DC is insanely limiting in what they can do.
I'm not saying the game can't have fans, it's just a cult classic.
@@TrueKilljoy eh, still trying to argue that you're objectively correct, even if humbly. It's fine until the last sentence which feels like talking down.
Anyways, the game itself isn't boring just because you think it was limited. The gameplay itself was engaging and it had an interesting story design where you could play from two different perspectives. That hasn't been done before in MK or since, except in small batches like in MK Aftermath and Injustice 2 where you can choose an ending.
And the game did the smash through environments system that would become better and more refined in the injustice series.
It also was just a good game. Maybe not as good as what would come after it, but nowhere near boring and nowhere near as generic as it seems you are trying to make it out to be.
Trilogy aged so bad. That game was a non violent comedy game. I could list a few reasons off of the top of my head that’s broken about that silly game.
It’s because we don’t like remembering new button kombos DANG!!! Lmaoo
No doubt mk1 is the worst mk game ever and the shang tsung comes straight from disneyland
I think mk11 would be a lot better if it was faster paced, no krushing blows
MK11 is by far the worst. It's slow, boring, and extremely easy to play not to mention the ridiculous new mechanics and taking away the run mechanic. I could literally list over 100 things bad with that game, I despise it with every ounce of my soul. Yes, it was absolutely made for new player's, i recall Netherrealm even stating that fact. I can only hope MK12 will be fast pace, aggressive, rush dow in your face Kombat, just like MKX.
Am I the only one that realized he compared the FMV’s to a Brazzers scene 😭😭😭😭😭
9 and X felt more fun to play, could be more wild than 11. Not to mention, even though NRS' suck at writing atories and characters, X had a faaaaar better story than 11 plus stuff you unlock are not tied to a damn server
Im addicted to your vids! Great job! Btw, are you the guy that kicked LTG's A@#?
I'm at 0:00 and only saw the tremor thumbnail. The worst MK game has to be Special Forces... Ok now I watch the vid.
jax is a terrible character to lead a game. sonya would have probably helped this game sell more copies if she had been the lead character.
I mean I hate MK11 but from a more casual perspective. I loved MKX on release and still play it consistently today.
MK11's entire story was godawful. MKX and MK9 had their problems *for sure* but MK11, both base and DLC, is the only one to make me legitimately upset. I'd go into specifics but so many people have made videos that explain exactly why it's horrid. Only thing I will say: Fuck D'vorah.
Removal of variations in favor of customized ones was never appealing to me; I found MKX's system cool and unique, giving you 3 (technically 4) different ways to play every character with tweaked movesets specifically tailored to a specific playstyle. I always found MK11's make-your-own system to be breaking that concept and, honestly, limiting since you can only choose 3 moves when some MKX variations give you a TON to work with.
Also didn't like the gear system. Didn't like it in Injustice 2, found it worse here. Putting aside the augment BS you could do with it I really do not like MK11's customization. I always think premade skins will be better than MK11's system. Maybe I'm just being autistic but you shouldn't be able to make Sub-Zero wear any color palette that isn't blue. And so many characters looking completely different also irks me when, save for aging, their designs between MK9 and MKX were mostly consistent. I mean if you compare MK11 Sub-Zero, Mileena, Kano, Cassie, etc to their MKX versions, they are completely different people. It's not just upgraded looks, these are completely different faces!
Krypt was also a travesty in MK11. Randomized save for a few chests and you have to pay to restock it because there aren't enough gravestones to unlock everything?
I'm as casual a fan as they come, I never cared about the technical stuff in fighting games. I barely even know what frame data even is. For all I know it could be the perfect MK game in terms of pure gameplay but *fuck* man I just hate so many of the decisions made here which really sucks because this is the ONLY game in the series with all of my top 6 favorite characters (MKX didn't have Baraka rip my boi and Armageddon was pre-Erron Black).
MK9 best story, MKX best gameplay and good visual aesthetics, MK11 best graphics but slow and boring gameplay :( .
As a point on the “hating the latest game one” I can somewhat agree. This is just how I personally think but I don’t “hate” the next installment of a game. Yes I may miss certain aspects but usually the newer game gives me something to love. I felt this way up to MK X. Mk 11 however just felt so wrong to me that I honestly couldn’t play it . I loved all the previous installments all for l different reasons. But mk 11 I just can’t.
"Looks oddly similar to a Brazzers video" 💀
People say mk9 was good is due to amazing roster. I think mk9 had best roster with mkx being insanely fun and gorey. Mk11 was amazingly but slow
Ppl who don’t like MKX are usually ppl who suck as fast paced fighting games
Or just think it lacks the colour, charm and content of a Mortal Kombat game?
@@Frosterino no it doesn’t, it literally embodies what an MK game is 🤨 it’s fast paced, dark and full of gore
I'm really surprised he didn't talk about MK Gold
Honestly thought that this was gonna be about Mortal Kombat vs DC
Mortalk kombat 11. The only good things are the roster and the graphics but sadly everything else is just very bad
I didn't personally like mkx graphics. I liked mk9 way of graphics better. Mkx felt toyish. Mk11 had better advancement and time in that way. But game wise mk9 is the best in this list.
Scorpion is a main character of a movie, was the reason the big bad was defeated in the new movie, is canon to always win aginst Sub-Zero after getting his powers which mind you Scorpion was even able to hold out aginst Subzero BEFORE the powers. Ed even admited Sub-Zero got this lead because he didnt wanna risk making his favorite character look dumb. Also did we forget Scorpion is the legit logo for the company?
problem is any mortal kombat game is going to be the worst one. because scorpion has never felt better to play than in injustice. block button just dampens so much of what could be great
Thanks for the video but some of your comments in regrad of MK : SF were not 100% true, as I finished it back then :
1 - You don't enough ammo for every enemy
2 - The game is only 5 levels but they are way too long
3 - You can't spam combo like that
4 - The grenade launcher is much better than the machine gun
Mk9 is better than x and 11, idk about competitive stuff but for me it has the best roster in the series
What about the forgotten past projects of MK, like MK Fire and Ice or the MKX Xbox 360 and PS3 ports?
@shiny_boi_cammi I meant like a video idea talking about past cancelled projects. I do remember that MKX was supposed to be ported to Xbox and PS3 but was cancelled for some reason.
I’m here for some Mythologies: Sub-Zero slander.
To be real, I put more hours into mythologies than I did mk11. I couldn’t stand it and it made me pretty much cash out of being a nether realm fan
