- Welcome back! In this video I chemically strip anodized coating off of aluminum dash moldings for my 1960 impala. I polish them on a buffer and do some detailed painting on them as well. This process can be applied to any anodized aluminum trim or moldings on any car. Hope you enjoy this step by step process on restoring your aluminum moldings on your classic car! Thank you.

REMATCH killing the game
So that paint 🎨 pen is ridiculously awesome and affordable.... $20 and the devils in the details.... Thats your cockpit view so everything inside to me should be beautiful and peaceful.... And completely comfortable...❤❤❤❤
Nice Shine on those trim parts.
Never have seen a Paint Pen before, cool little tool.
It's a real accurate tool. Seems like it clogs easy. Maybe thin the paint out more than usual next time
Nice clean build.
That was a cool 😎 ass episode brother! I'm Learning some stuff here 👍
That car maybe far from being done but it’s already beautiful.
Thank you. Yes it's still aways away but atleast it's 'clean work' from here on out
YOU ARE SO APPRECIATED! THANK YOU FOR BEING SO HELPFUL AND THOUGHTFUL ABOUT DETAILING EVERY STEP OF YOUR BUILDS. IT MEANS ALOT AND WE APPRECIATE YOUR CHANNEL🙏🏻
Nailed it!!!❤❤❤❤
I feel the same!!!
Looks great
Thanks for sharing another video, the dash looks awesome !!
I think if you used the paint pen with black paint, it would stand out more and match with the gauges. Looks great though
True. I didn't clear it so. The paint could wipe right off with reducer or lacquer thinner
this definitely helped
I remember your headlight bezels I tried to get anodized s*** off for you once.. Grandma bitched at me for putting them in her oven. 😂
Lol. Came along way since those days for sure
💪🏾💪🏾💯🔥
So you'd remove anodizing from exterior moldings too?
Becasuee of you, I bought a bench gridner/buffer like you have. I need to polish my trim for my 80s car. Thinking of removing the anodizing.. just wanted to make sure that its ok to do it to exterior tim
It's just the small things man
Thank you my dash trim is also damaged beyond repair
It's amazing how thing like that get damaged???
😃✌️👍
Curious if your 59’ is a factory green color or if it s a custom mix?
It's cascade green
I have the same buffing set up do you use the same thing for the long body moldings or use a hand buffer
I use the eastwood for almost everything. Just gotta be really careful don't let the part get below the wheel because then it's over...
@@lonestarlows even thoes real long side moldings on a 64 impala
