I had one of these in 1981, basically taught myself to ride motorbikes on that bike. It was the dark blue colour, and pretty rough looking, but what a fun little bike to ride.... even if I didn't have a licence 😂
Sweet little jewel of a bike usually reliable nice usable busy little classic now try one you may like it great at point to point rides smooth and pleasant . Small can be nice ,
@@peterranson4365 Hi Peter, it was at tickover that I thought it sounded rattly. If it is at all loose the slack is taken up under load so it's only really at tickover that you hear it. Give me a good old pushrod British bike any day 😄
@@bruceknights8330 I'm no expert on things Japanese but I believe that the plunger on the cam chain tensioner on these have a habit of sticking so when you release it to take up the slack it doesn't unless you give it a helping hand.
There is a slight camchain rattle on this bike . Nothing to worry about . These engines are just about bulletproof ! That knocking noise at tickover is the primary drive chain which has fixed guides no adjustment . Quite a normal sound if the four carbs aren't exactly in balance and I mean ' exactly ' ! It is perfectly normal and will do no harm to the engine . Cheers .
Had one of these in the 70s. Nice little bike.
These are beautiful bikes with a beautiful stock 4 into 1 exhaust.

Was going to buy one of those back in the day. Ended up going in the military instead, still want one !
Amazing bikes and a good change of pace, Peter!
I have a CB400SF Revo and do love it to bits. Sweet engines!

Something not quite right with that. It shouldn't make that whirring noise
