PC version perfect, absolutely no screen tearing, no framedrops. But what truly transform this game is the mods, they are better than actual in game cars. RIP console players. Sorry... But true
TheBigPlanet their isn't no more screen tearing and for mods I guess you can it's better there but I don't see that being a huge difference for the game
not really. Cars implemented by kunos have a totally different level of quality than any mod could ever bring to the table. You must been playing on a x360 controller I guess ...
I'm really glad you review racing games, especially with the same quality you put into all your other reviews. A good collection of racers (of all types) should be in every gamer's collection.
ive got the game on xbox one and i love it most people hating on it are graphics lovers and probably have not set up there controller which you have to i can bet if the game had the same graphics has project cars people would love it but it has the detail you can drive around in modes where you just chill its not all serious this game is under rated people are just going on the hate train because everyone else is hating it and it has NOTHING to do with the console its the game and i have not much fps issues going on and there already aware of the issues and many others maybe people should read there forums and facebook page instead of saying the game is crap blah blah blah
For PC: If you want to get into sim racing this is a MUST BUY! It should be your first game right behind RaceRoom (free with a couple cars to get your feet wet). The base is only $20 so no excuse and the Ultimate, which I recommend adds like a hundred dlc cars and more circuits with variations and is needed for some mods, plus it's only 40$ and the dlc is so expensive otherwise... If you're just a casual racer I would say it's still a buy or grab it on a regular sale especially if you're okay with modding. There's thousands of cars and we'll over a hundred locations with hundreds of variations when it comes to mods.
After hearing so many racing sim “experts” swear by this game I had to check it out. Sounds like I’m not missing too much. If liking the polished game of Forza makes me a “simcade” racer so be it. I’ll take a small hit to sound and game mechanics if it means a better overall experience. Forza delivers an adrenaline rush, good sense of speed, a lot of content, and stunning details. Maybe in the near future AC will get it right with consoles becoming more powerful. They have their work cut out whereas Forza has everything in place and can afford to focus really on anything they choose in Forza 8. Thanks for the review.
So far i heard you saying +Sense of speed +Overall good vehicle models +Amazing Sounds +Music generic +Events section +Close to real life counterparts excellent statistic by devs + 100+ cars different config - FPS (but which game doesn't have it) You just sold me the game :)
Pretty much agree with all you said but AC currently is the only racing sim on the PS4. I was waiting for gran turismo but launch has been delayed which lead me to buy the prestige edtion of this. It's a good game and as a PS4 owner i have no other choice. Major upgrades needed though ASAP.
To be honest I never played PC but I heard that it is good but that AC is meant to be more realistic - Having never played PC I honestly can't say - What is better in your opinion? Been playing GranTurismo since it first launched many years ago and it seems that no other console sim can compare to it. Very disappointed by Kaz and PD tbh - They have taken the majority of the cars out for GT Sport, delays, multiple lies from Kaz etc etc... Losing faith in console sim racers these days :(
+MrPragmatism Yeah PCars is amazing. I've never played AC though so I can't say which is better either. I think we can both agree that Gran Turismo is amazing :)
Screen tearing and fluctuating frame rates were issues when Project Cars was first released on console, especially the XB1 version that I have. After a few months of patches it became a very stable and enjoyable game IMO. The frame rate still struggles a little if you have a large field of cars in wet weather with a dynamic time of day, but I mostly avoid those scenarios. AC doesn't have night or rain so there really should be no reason why it can't become as stable as Pcars on console.
The ultimate edition of the game is right now on sale for 14€ on PS4 and I'm wondering whether to get it or not. Been aching for a racing game... Going to look up if the framerate issues have been fixed. Fingers crossed!
There is a reason why Ferrari use AC on their pro simulator and Porsche had an exclusive deal with Kunos.!! AC is a real sim..There is no Posh in GTS i guess.
This game is only playable on PC with mods. Otherwise, it's just not worth the price. The car feels really good on PC, and there are a lot of mods out there with great quality, sometimes even better than the Kunos developed cars. I also hate the UI in the game, I think you should get Content Manager, which allows very clean setting up and saving profiles for your races. This game is rough, but I recommend it to anyone who wants to feel like they're driving a car.
60' FOV isn't narrow, Assetto has vertical FOV, while other racing title usually make use of horizontal. 60' in AC translate into sth ar. 91'. Thats more than enough.
I've been waiting for this game to hit my PS4 as "Project Cars" barely had any good American cars at launch. Too bad about the un-even graphics & performance, I really miss a solid offline racing game for my PS4 & this was to be my fix, seeing your Yellow Corvette alone in your review here was a selling point by itself. I worked & drove custom Vettes for Dick Guldstrand in the early 90's & drove a 219 mph Corvette in the Silver State Classic built by Guldstrand Engineering so I get a chub over any authentic racing game coming down the pike. Thanks for this great profile, it has just enough to sell me on the game in spite of it's obvious strangeness in performance & visuals.
Would you say it's on par with "Gran Turismo 6" as far as sound controls & realism? I really am hungry for a new PS4 racing game. I passed on "Driveclub" because of the server-based online nature of it, so I'm in limbo with only "Need For Speed Rivals" to play on my PS4. I know you have a love for cars & racing too so I value your input, is the game worth it for big motor-heads like ourselves man?
What a damn shame, thanks for getting back so promptly with the inside dope. I trust your taste & desires with games today, especially racing games. I have a friend that digs the shit out of the game on his PC over the last year so I've been pumped about it hitting the PS4. I may have to splurge & get it just for that new Stingray alone, it almost compensates for the technical issues which I'm relatively easy with overall. Thanks bud.
A thing i've noticed is it's quite inconsistent. Each car feels like it was made by an entirely different team, particularly in terms of sound. Most of the cars sound incredible like you said, but some of them sound like angle grinders. Some cars don't have an interior sound either. It's not bad, but they feel like a collection of car mods rather than something made by a team of developers.
I'ma wait for when it it's about half price.. Once again great review and no idea why there's like 40 dislikes but thanks once again just being honest and saving me much needed £££
Unless you're on PC then mods add thousands of cars and hundreds of tacks. Plus the handling model is much better. Wheel is also a must. If you're on console then Deff Project Cars 2 or if you don't have a wheel on PC then probably also PC2.
There's one problem that I have with this game, actually, most sim racing games, and they never get the sliding right, especially if you want to do a powerslide, well tough life, nothing can even come close to the joy of doing that in real life on a track. And no, not even iRacing nor rFactor gets this right, not Assetto Corsa and not even Project Cars, there's just something that is off in the way these games handle the g-force, the inertia and the way you try to control the car, but other than that, they're hell of a lot of fun to play, especially with a decent wheel from a cockpit view.
+TheKwod No, I mean they're off in the way how the inertia is affected when you try to drift or do a powerslide, because in real life, you feel how your car handles and you balance it so it doesn't spin, whereas in these sims, the cars just slide, like they're put on an ice. :)
If your using a force feed back wheel you can feel weight transfer so you know when it’s about to slide and can correct it. Not sure if it’s different from pc to console but if your driving right you can definitely feel it.
Was really looking forward to this title, but it seems it came out bad, just as PCars (or worse) on consoles. That title was improved a lot with patches, so I just wish these devs can do that to Assetto Corsa. Will wait for discount to consider it again. I guess my driving desires will have to be covered by the much expected Forza Horizon 3. Great review as always!
So keep playing Project Cars until this game gets fixed. Thank you! Great review. Also, racing on the Nuremberg, pretty ballsy. I have yet to complete a clean race there
Its great to see it make ps4 and xbox one. I was playing assetto on a low end gaming pc and 60fps is easy running at 4k. Realistic physics need more cpu speed to get all the information through at 60fps on your screen. That's why games like arma 3 are on pc only.
I'd never watched one of your Buy Rent etc, reviews and this is my first, great review really liked your delivery and style and humor, great writing, I will definitely be checking out your other reviews thanks! As for Assetto Corsa, it sucks that it was released in such a rough state. I was looking forward to this game and the developer previews made it seem like you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between pc and console. Unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the case and thanks to your review and others that I have read I will be holding off for now. Hopefully they support it and it may deserve a future look.
hahahaha, i love how the rearview mirror doesn't render shadows at all. :P And also how there is seemingly NO backed shadows in the distance details. Graphically this feels like a game from long ago..
I've been looking forward to this game since i learned it was coming to consoles and pre-ordered it but after watching this, it's clear I've made a big mistake. It really angers me when they put "DLC" cars in from launch, that's just blatant money grabbing and laziness on their part.
it seems that porting is the issue because it's the same for games ported from console to pc... they just never seem to work quite right... I have AC on PC and it's excellent. Is it any better now it's been on the consoles for a while?
Great review, thanks. Was considering buying this for my PS4 Pro, have any of the issues you mentioned been sorted out through patches, or would you still rate as a game to rent?
you make a lot of valid points. a few things I have noticed when playing I ignore. I am actually enjoying the game for what it is. granted, there are a few moments I go "WTF" but in all I am enjoying the experience.
I could not agree more with this review, ive played the game for a while now. And to say its left a puzzling first impression would be an understatement. I was expecting this to be tough as nails difficult but within 30 mins i was drifting quite capabily with most of the assists off with a controller i might add. Along with doing some portion of the career mode. Project cars is far more punishing than this in its physics system, but on the same token can be more frustrating as a result. And both suffer with AI issues to boot which hamper both experiences somewhat. I'd say and this just an opinion here before people start arguing over this, id say its a mix of Forza and Project cars, has a strong underpinning and at times the physics are superb when it all comes together, but is far more accessible for new players than project cars was. Graphics issues aside, it has left me a little bit dissapointed overall, but i hope time will fix some of the bugs. But its far from a bad game, just one whos expectations were so high coming over to consoles, many expected this to be a project cars killer, it just about matches it in some respects but not enough to add that extra bit it needed to make it a must buy game. Your reviews are great as always, very informative and relatable :) keep up the great work
i'm just trying project cars... i like the realism, but dont like the "grid autosport career game play".... this tittle offers more like grand turismo level of passion and custumization? i would try forza 6.... but no, i dont want the windows 10 "upgrade"
I know this is old but to anyone new if you're on PC Assetto Corsa wins hands down for sim racer, modding, better tyre and physics model, and more content. Modding adds more cars and tracks then PC2. On console tho P.C.2 all the way. AC is SIM all the way meaning wheel is a must for full benefit. P.C.2 is a close second to AC on PC and there are games better then AC but it's the perfect starter SIM (RaceRoom is a f2p with a couple cars to start so get feet wet there) on PC and between 1/3 to 2/3 the price.
Great review and you point out everything i hate about this game, still enjoying it but it still feel like a beta to me ( was there day one the 19th december ), so much progrees but so many things they should fix before selling a final version. The fps and screen tearing thing is unpardonnable, maybe thats the cause of a good response and lack of optimization. they should drop that post-process, that should let the console breath a little. Inexistent carreer, lack of options and tool tips. And i must admit the sound is great but this sim feels lonely (atmosphere ) no ambiance whatsoever apart the birds singing.
Great review as always I had my doubts about this game from the off I was surprised they were going for 60 FPS but as a sim racer I suppose they had too due to precise handling but to make a game that's unstable is even worse than making one with a stable 30fps
As always I look forward to your review videos and I was curious about this game and had to rewind the video to the beginning when you said it's 1 part forza, 1 part project cars, 1 part gran turismo and I was like how does that work lol
Hey Karak, I wonder if you've reviewed the multiplayer once you actually managed to get into a game. Could you guide me to the place where you've mentioned it please. If you haven't could you drop a comment here, if possible. I'm trying to decide which racing sim to purchase b/w Assetto Corsa, Project Cars 2, Automobilista and whatever else, for PC - while keeping the focus on multiplayer (ability to choose b/w wild racers or serious clean racers, etc)
great review again, but i dont know if it's me or not, but racing games in general seem to have some of the most generic menu music ever, like uptempo elevator tunes
I want to add that all the tracks are laser scanned unlike the other racing games so it's super accurate including elevation. and you are right the AI is disgusting... Looking at the console port, I'm really glad that I got it on PC since early access.

because hardware (tv/monitors) runs at 60 hz refresh rate, basically it means that picture you see on display should be updated 60 times in 1 second, so game should run 60 fps to prevent screen tearing
Dariox depends on what system you use. Can be pretty demanding on high settings, high FOV and a full grip but if you have a decent PC you'll be able to run it.
deinemutterhatweed 970, i7-3770k, 16gb ram, it'll definitely be playable for me but i'm mostly just curious if there is any glaring issues and also, how essential would you say a steering wheel is? because i love racing games but there aren't enough of them out there to warrant me going out and buying some really expensive piece of hardware. I got the 360 pad and a Dualshock 4.
That's why Milestone Games stick to 30FPS most of the time, because it's hard to bring smooth 60FPS to such games and that with only 150 employees. And Kunos Simulazioni is an even smaller dev team with only 30 employees and of course a limited budget. So in the moment I'm not very convinced about Assetto Corsa and might wait for NASCAR Heat Evolution as my next Racing game. Maybe you do a review for that one when it comes out? If you have the time of course.
I have had it day one on PS4 and it’s fantastic the sound is glorious, you do have to tweak your controller settings I find it to twitchy but I found some good settings feels great now, it’s a fun game been on sale ultimate edition a fair bit, good list of cars and tracks fun game, hope you don’t mind hot lapping lol. Awesome game though I love cars and Forza GT Sport formula 1 project cars etc etc :@) thanks ACG best reviewers I know :)
Will you please do a review for Alienation on the PS4? Its been a while since it released so I guess I don't entirely expect you to.. But like, please??? I saw your review for Livelock and I was wondering what your take on Alienation would be.
ACG Ah well, thanks for replying. I do hope you get a chance to check it out sometime :). Its a very straight forward and simplistic game. And I think you'll like it for the visuals and at times exhilarating gameplay. Have a good day ACG :)
Dude I was just telling Cadiz I hadn't seen you in a LONG while? Whats up brother. And yes still with you. If cancer and getting stabbed can't kill me, nor the various sundry activities I indulged in, in my youth, nothing can.
ACG Yeah nothing like getting a promotion to sap one's free time, though your work really makes a difference in keeping my mellow balance. Stabbed? That's one to save for a getting to know you video for sure.
I feel sorry for people who want to play assetto on a console it just isn't a casual console game it's a pc driving simulator and the physics are the very best out there.
I have all they games for my pc and the force feedback isn't as good as assettos only 1 that comes close is project cars when you dial it in correctly and maybe I racings tyre model is decent
No it isnt, on PC its very debatable where it sits on physics, AC has many quirks and odditys when it comes to the hardcore sim scene, as well as other issues, funny aswell AC universally considered to have the worst sound of all PC sims, and the worst AI in any sim, period. Its certainly heads and shoulders above all console physics
great review man,i was going to buy this game glad i came here first ill wait. Are you going to review Titanfall 2 and Forza Horizon 3 ?keep up the good work :)
man, forza over any racer. too much custimization. you can take beautiful photos, make your own decals and paints, drag race, drift and powerslide! it has it all
+barfyman362 There actually is a qualify system for online if you know what you're doing. No flags though. Forza and Pcars are definitely the best console racers.
looking at ur photos just proves xbox and espically forza is for kids. Just THINK about it, i ciuld do laps all day in forza with no assist on and i BARELY lose control w tires and breaks supposely in forza makes it harder to drive. but forza is TOO easy
Thx for the review; did you play the pc version also? It should be better than the console version in every regard; but the Kamikaze AI is really quite worrying... (I do have a Logitech G27 thoug). Cheers!
Did the day1 patch improve the graphics, watching your video my console version of the graphics look way better than what I was seeing, from the lighting, to vehicle texture and reflections to track graphics. I duno it didnt look that dull and bland. I agree game needs work hopefully with future patches they will fix it but for now Im digging the game, its brutal hard to win I hate how the AI slams into you, no way you can win the race playing catchup like that but Im sure theyll fix this
Good in depth review once again. Will be picking this up next week regardless and hope the patches roll out quickly. BTW, were you playing v1.0 or did you update to the day 1.01 patch? I hear it makes a difference.
+ACG So there was a patch before it really releases tomorrow? So I should not expect a patch that makes it have a better and more stable framerate? I don't know if I should buy it because I really want to have it but it has to be playable. Does the framerate go down so much that it is unplayable or is it just moving around but does not really stuck?
Was going to rebuy this to play with console buddies but I guess I'll hold off for some patches. Shame really, literally hundreds of hours on PC with this. Easily my favourite racer. Kunos has been oustanding when it comes to listening to the community on Steam so there's hope yet.
hmmm....Project Cars is more 'gamey'. ProjCars career mode has more of a progression to it. AC career mode is pretty basic, but as Karak said the events ares pretty good. If you care more about the driving aspect you should go with AC, if you like more 'gamey' stuff go with ProjCars. and AC runs better on PC, if you got the hardware to run it smootly. And the game plays very well with a xbox controller on pc as well. (but go with the wheel if you got one)
3 years later. And I still cant decide on buying this lol
Me either, i think im just going to save for a pc
PC version perfect, absolutely no screen tearing, no framedrops. But what truly transform this game is the mods, they are better than actual in game cars. RIP console players. Sorry... But true

not really. Cars implemented by kunos have a totally different level of quality than any mod could ever bring to the table. You must been playing on a x360 controller I guess ...
I play with a wheel fyi
lol I get 250+ fps on the highest settings
what about mod?
Ac on ps4 received ton of patches, framerate is now rock solid, an online is customisable as well as the control scheme, i love ac...
An online?
So, ONE online?
Can you get several onlines?
I want many onlines :D
I'm really glad you review racing games, especially with the same quality you put into all your other reviews. A good collection of racers (of all types) should be in every gamer's collection.
thanks
hey man, Scotland here. ive been watching your channel for a year or so and its pretty much the only game reviews i trust. Keep up the good work mate!
sup to scotland!

Short intro. Straight to the subject of the video. No clickbait. Ahhhh, real content. Keep up the good work

¨High Five James Dean¨...Damn that was dark....!
lol
"when you smash into a guard rail like youre trying to high 5 James dean"... great review man, saved me some money here.
Sup Molag haven't seen you in a bit. Thanks man
+ACG oh I'm always about my man, you've been my go to reviewer for years :)
should I buy this for $20?
But it has zandvoort... now i HAVE to buy it
So far i heard you saying
+Sense of speed
+Overall good vehicle models
+Amazing Sounds
+Music generic
+Events section
+Close to real life counterparts excellent statistic by devs
+ 100+ cars different config
- FPS (but which game doesn't have it)
You just sold me the game :)
and terribly interaction of all statistics and physics due to FPS issues
A "pre-release" caveat would've been great at the beginning of the video instead of near the end…
that james dean comment though. savage

Yes you are right PC of course i forgot about that game.
+MrPragmatism no worries haha

It has.
This video makes me more hyped for GT Sport
gt sport is ps exclusive right?
+YOUNG GUTS yes because Polyphony Digital is owned by SIE
There is a reason why Ferrari use AC on their pro simulator and Porsche had an exclusive deal with Kunos.!! AC is a real sim..There is no Posh in GTS i guess.
I might do a whole series on gts
+YOUNG GUTS yup
Can you do GT Sport? I can't find it on your channel. Great review by the way.
This game is only playable on PC with mods. Otherwise, it's just not worth the price. I would say its not with the technical issues as they directly impact the physics simulation.

thanks....you've saved me 30 quid. great review as always.....can't wait for your reviews of the big AAA titles later this year
you bet
I'ma wait for when it it's about half price.. Once again great review and no idea why there's like 40 dislikes but thanks once again just being honest and saving me much needed £££
fans overreacting
ACG Yea but I'd rather honesty than fanboying any day so as says thanks again for review
you bet man.
so, its better to stay with project cars?
nice work in this review, very complete review
yes
I haven't got the chance to play Forza, but nonetheless, it still feels kinda weird, especially when it comes to the sims.
This can be done with Direct drive wheels, that said, it can still be done with "toy" wheels, go look on ytube.
Great review as always!
thanks and ya I feel the same
So keep playing Project Cars until this game gets fixed. Thank you! Great review.
Also, racing on the Nuremberg, pretty ballsy. I have yet to complete a clean race there
yep
Hopefully they support it and it may deserve a future look.
thanks so much Socratese
Any thoughts on the PC version? It's $22.49 on Steam right now.
Its great.
ACG Thanks. Gonna give it a try.
BUY, but also buy Automobilista, as it's the best "sim".....but not the best game.
yep, 1060/460/470 can handle AC fine at 1080p maxed.
another brilliant ACG review. Not going near this, Driveclub just seems to constantly hold on to the best racer on console
Ya its not good enough now
Good review there mate, I think you gave a pretty fair and even handed opinion, thanks for the work you put in, enjoyed it.
thanks man
hahahaha, i love how the rearview mirror doesn't render shadows at all. :P And also how there is seemingly NO backed shadows in the distance details. Graphically this feels like a game from long ago..
Great review once again. Would love to see an Obduction review at some point!
I'm late but if you aren't obsessed with graphics and have a pc from this century, try live for speed. It's a stunning simulation in terms of physics.
I've been looking forward to this game since i learned it was coming to consoles and pre-ordered it but after watching this, it's clear I've made a big mistake. It really angers me when they put "DLC" cars in from launch, that's just blatant money grabbing and laziness on their part.
ya some crap planning
it seems that porting is the issue because it's the same for games ported from console to pc... they just never seem to work quite right... I have AC on PC and it's excellent. Is it any better now it's been on the consoles for a while?
agreed
its not a sim guys..just a trackday hotlapping simcade
lol
lmao
lol fake banger
Great review, thanks. Was considering buying this for my PS4 Pro, have any of the issues you mentioned been sorted out through patches, or would you still rate as a game to rent?
Great review. Four months later, what can you tell us about improvements?
almost nothing. Its patches are not kept up to date with the PC and its performance is still very poor
Anderson Scholmeier
Porsche DLC now pushed to 2017 for consoles.
If it's January 2017, it's not that far. But we KNOW it's not :(
dunno about the x1, but on the PS4, the FPS issues got polished and fixed.
you make a lot of valid points. a few things I have noticed when playing I ignore. I am actually enjoying the game for what it is. granted, there are a few moments I go "WTF" but in all I am enjoying the experience.
I can see that for sue
Great review ! I won't be jumping in now thanks dude. New subscriber from the UK cheers ;-)
Sup paul thanks
Your reviews are great as always, very informative and relatable :) keep up the great work
ya an odd game
How do you rate this game for pc? for screen tearing and framedrops dont seem to be an issue.
i'm just trying project cars... i like the realism, but dont like the "grid autosport career game play".... this tittle offers more like grand turismo level of passion and custumization? i would try forza 6.... but no, i dont want the windows 10 "upgrade"
Project cars 2 is the best game you can buy
And i must admit the sound is great but this sim feels lonely (atmosphere ) no ambiance whatsoever apart the birds singing.
thanks brah ! So will there be another international podcast at some stage ? keep up the great content acg
you bet. And sometime I will ya. lots of stuff going on outside the channel slowing me down
no worries man dont let it stress you out and keep it up, im enjoying watching your channel grow like a talking bearded plant
I bought the game for a real cheap price. £1. N happy with that price for what I got.
Great review as always I had my doubts about this game from the off I was surprised they were going for 60 FPS but as a sim racer I suppose they had too due to precise handling but to make a game that's unstable is even worse than making one with a stable 30fps
ya sort of sucks
As always I look forward to your review videos and I was curious about this game and had to rewind the video to the beginning when you said it's 1 part forza, 1 part project cars, 1 part gran turismo and I was like how does that work lol
lol
This just pumps me up for FH3. Good review.
Have the technical problems been fixed with patches now?
You are great Karak! Your reviews are always amazing. Quick consultation, have you tried the F1 2016? Any thought on that? Keep it as you are doing!
no havent
Nice thorough review Karak. You covered a lot in here.
thanks
I want to add that all the tracks are laser scanned unlike the other racing games so it's super accurate including elevation. and you are right the AI is disgusting... Looking at the console port, I'm really glad that I got it on PC since early access.
ya its insanely bad. Not sure whats up here
want to give idea input
* 1 * enter in game make ID player, then distribute 100% point for (acceleration, brake, handling) give effect of car setting in garage padock
prevent imbalance or unbalanced peforma car (europe-asia-america)
* 2 * pure simulation mode without FIA regulation (novice, semi-pro, professional) traction control, ABS set in garage padock like Gran Turismo 2
* 3 * driving school menu like GTR 2 for educational car understeer or oversteer
* 4 * menu setting up the car along with video for education guide how to set up the car properly
* 5 * game campaign like TOCA race driver 2
where the beginning of the driver's career starts from karting then champion .. world champion ride high class WTTC or GT300 .. world champion ride high class GT500 / GT1 or Lemans LMP1 .. world champion ride high class F3000 or GP2 .. world champion up grade higher F1 or IndyCar
* 6 * when the replay menu loads ... the car's telemetry setup (suspension, wings, brake, aero, engine) is displayed ... and when the replay runs ... can see and learn the racing line and setup car
* 7 * new menu ... can create and design your own circuit ... like games (Moto Racer 2, Grand Turismo 5) ... and become an example of design ideas for virtual circuits to real circuits
*8*There are official racing game sites for uploading and downloading (replays, circuit design, upgrade parts, update versions) ... like nogrip www.racedepartment.com/threads/nogripracing-com-gone.152099/
Did you install the day one patch? It brings a lot of improvements already.
yep and nope States RIGHT IN THE DESCRIPTION
ok, THAT'S GREAT THANKS
Why don't developers "aim" for a consistent 45fps?
because hardware (tv/monitors) runs at 60 hz refresh rate, basically it means that picture you see on display should be updated 60 times in 1 second, so game should run 60 fps to prevent screen tearing
***** Ok, cool! Thanks for the reply :)
it is like gt5 that the speedo was showing 270km/h but the feeling was like 60km/h
Shame it doesn't sound like the port went over too well. It certainly has the best feel of probably any driving game I've ever played, however.
ya pc version for sure does. Here that good feeling is impacted sometimes but the fps
On PC I've got frustratingly close to super smooth FPS but certain tracks at certain places still dip just enough to notice.
You saved me $49.99 thank you
Get it on pc if you can. Absolutely amazing , spent over 200 hours.
How does the PC version run?
+deinemutterhatweed same have over 200 hours into its amazing on PC and the PC version has well all the mods to go along with it.
If you have the time of course.
agreed about 60
I have had it day one on PS4 and it’s fantastic the sound is glorious, you do have to tweak your controller settings I find it to twitchy but I found some good settings feels great now, it’s a fun game been on sale ultimate edition a fair bit, good list of cars and tracks fun game, hope you don’t mind hot lapping lol. Awesome game though I love cars and Forza GT Sport formula 1 project cars etc etc :@) thanks ACG best reviewers I know :)
Black friday Steam 2019 $4.99
Will you please do a review for Alienation on the PS4? Its been a while since it released so I guess I don't entirely expect you to.. But like, please??? I saw your review for Livelock and I was wondering what your take on Alienation would be.
Sadly I just have no time for that
ACG Ah well, thanks for replying. I do hope you get a chance to check it out sometime :). Its a very straight forward and simplistic game. And I think you'll like it for the visuals and at times exhilarating gameplay. Have a good day ACG :)
Thanks man, good review. Rapid and sensible 😉
thanks
did they improve the game, now in 2018?
Is the alignment on the Lotus off? It's going straight but the wheel is turn to the right.
damage system engaged
Definitely earned a sub with reviews like these, thank you!
Hey thanks OS appreciate it man.
So you've gotten your foot nearly shot off and crashed a few cars? I'm glad you're still with us...
Actually, the physics might be good for console owners, but on PC, it's far behind the best GTR/FR2/AMS.
Hash_Sim yep, some of the modders complain about AC physics when they try and enter real data etc.
Such a GREAT REVIEW - keep it up man
Thanx ACG for the quick review! A lil sad though, I have been looking forward to this game for a while...
great review man,i was going to buy this game glad i came here first ill wait. Are you going to review Titanfall 2 and Forza Horizon 3 ?keep up the good work :)
yep
man, forza over any racer. too much custimization. you can take beautiful photos, make your own decals and paints, drag race, drift and powerslide! it has it all
it has it all except realistic physics and qualifying/flag system
+barfyman362 There actually is a qualify system for online if you know what you're doing. No flags though. Forza and Pcars are definitely the best console racers.
Its good forza has that but theres alot more missing
looking at ur photos just proves xbox and espically forza is for kids. Just THINK about it, i ciuld do laps all day in forza with no assist on and i BARELY lose control w tires and breaks supposely in forza makes it harder to drive. but forza is TOO easy
I haven't really played a forza game since 4
Lets wait for huge sale then. Good review.
another quality review. good job man.
thanks
Great review. I'm still on the fence about this game. Thanks!
Having nothing but trouble with the handling 😂
I really enjoy your reviews.
thanks
Thx for the review; did you play the pc version also? It should be better than the console version in every regard; but the Kamikaze AI is really quite worrying... (I do have a Logitech G27 thoug). Cheers!
Before this ya. For a couple hundred hours
So I take it that the PC version is actually pretty good^^
Bought it, and just sold it, just not enough there, it's like Project Cars-lite.
Cool video though, subscribed.
thanks
So I picked up this game in the name of putting more life into my PS4 inventory and I can sum up my opinion of it in two words. Buyers remorse.
ohhh man
Yeah, I will be returning it to Gamestop tomorrow.
Did the day1 patch improve the graphics, watching your video my console version of the graphics look way better than what I was seeing, from the lighting, to vehicle texture and reflections to track graphics. I duno it didnt look that dull and bland. I agree game needs work hopefully with future patches they will fix it but for now Im digging the game, its brutal hard to win I hate how the AI slams into you, no way you can win the race playing catchup like that but Im sure theyll fix this
not much no
Does it have Car Customization like NFS Shift 2??
Good in depth review once again. Will be picking this up next week regardless and hope the patches roll out quickly. BTW, were you playing v1.0 or did you update to the day 1.01 patch? I hear it makes a difference.
With of course. And it made 0 difference on either system. Honestly the game is technically in bad shape for much of it.
Correct that patch was supplied to us.
Oh man! Bad news :( Tanks for answering
Can you do Forza 6 Apex, its on PC and it's free. So far it's been the only racing game I've been addicted to.
have you tried the horizon series?
how good is the customization on cars
Was going to rebuy this to play with console buddies but I guess I'll hold off for some patches. Shame really, literally hundreds of hours on PC with this. Easily my favourite racer. Kunos has been oustanding when it comes to listening to the community on Steam so there's hope yet.
PC version is great
Your thoughts about the new F1 2016 game?
Are you going to review the pc port as well karak?
no
Assetto Corsa is a native PC game. The console version are the ports
Thanks, so is it better on the pc ?
This or Project cars ?
hmmm....Project Cars is more 'gamey'.
