I absolutely hate to disappoint but this year will be a different story... so much of my November/early December gets consumed with preparing for these awards and this year I'm going to have a newborn (and that first month or two is always the hardest!) Been thinking a lot about the Emily Awards and the fact that I don't want to do them halfway (that would actually pain me) OR stress myself to the limit... Not saying I won't be posting videos at all during this time, but I just can't see myself doing a full week of Emily Awards videos this year! If this baby is like my first two... I will not be sleeping much in the first 3 months of his life! :) I'm so sorry.

And you have two younger kids.... any spare time you find yourself with should be spent soaking up the goodness, smelling his head, cuddling your girls, sleeping, reading, lounging..... not pouring your time and energy into something as massive as the emily awards. Re: “Random Thought” gift basket for L&D nurses. Nurses LOVE snacks! Anything easy to grab in between patients/tasks. Individual, pre-packaged items like crackers or granola type bars have saved me a shift or two. Any type of candy, gum, etc. Anything will be appreciated! I will say that two smaller baskets or bags (one designated for each shift) vs. one larger one would be even more appreciated. Just a thought. Beauty related products could be tough, but a pack a lip balms would be great! I was always having to improvise with the Vaseline gauze if I forgot mine!😂Getting more & more excited for y’all!❤️
Thats very sweet of you! Coffee..We nurses always need pens, sharpie mini permanent markers with key ring, food or snacks, did I mention coffee?...but you can never go wrong with food (snacks) & coffee☺️

As a retired labor and delivery nurse I will say that any type of expression of appreciation was always enjoyed. BUT a nice box of chocolates was always a favorite, or some snack that could be eaten on the run. We rarely had the opportunity to sit down for a full meal break so it was grab and go!! So looking forward to your Little Man. 💕💕

Hi Emily! I’m an LD nurse and have suggestions for your basket! We love treats/snacks! Drinks are nice too. We’ve received some makeup before, that was nice. Lip balms/chapsticks are great. If the nurses do 12 hour shifts I would suggest a basket for day shift and one for night shift so no one gets left out❤️ of course we love our career and never expect anything in return so no basket is fine also! I hope you have a great experience, looking forward to meeting him (on camera).
Yes! One for day shift and bring one later for night shift! Frequently night shift gets forgotten about unless you specifically hand it over after the shift change. Also, I would consider some decadent treats as well as healthier treats, in case anyone is being mindful of what they are eating. Maybe nuts, veggies, or something. And anyone in the healthcare field loves caffeine!!
That It Girl palette gave me flash backs to the days when the only eyeshadow palettes we had to choose from were UD Naked 1&2, Lorac Pro, The Balm Nude 'Tude, Too Faced Chocolate Bar, and the It Naturally Pretty palette! Maybe an odd ball Stila or Bare Minerals 8 pan was thrown in the mix but for the most part those were IT!

With my 3rd son I went a little over 2 1/2 ‐3 weeks after losing my plug & I was also dilated 41/2 centimeters the whole time. My labors were very long with the first 2 BUT I was absolutely miserable those weeks of "false labor". Sending prayers & love for you, baby, & family! Can't wait to see him & hear his name.

One of my aunts made some hand knit preme outfits as I was told he would be. I got my son to his due date. With a heavy heart I gave them to the nurses station to get used. They loved them!!! Another idea My aunt is a superb knitter and they were so beautiful and she's getting older, wished I could've kept them. When I told her what I had done she thanked me. Knowing they would go to families that needed them. She's a great aunt. Hospitals are short on preme and multiple births hats and stuff. Where I live babies still get hand knit hats when they're born. 💖💖💖
With my third, I was 2cm dialated for forever, was overdue 2 weeks! I never went into labor naturally with any of my 3, they were all 2 weeks over and I had to be induced for all of them! They were all over 10lbs though, so maybe that’s why lol! Good luck with everything, Emily!

I feel like as I get older (I just turned 43!) super light weight foundations look way better on me than super full coverage foundations. I've been enjoying tinted moisturizers again too. You have to try Colourpops new Pretty Fresh tinted moisturizer. I really love it!!!
Mucus plug is such a gross term. However, I gave birth 2 weeks after I lost mine. Love you Emily. Being almost(in 8 months)40, its refreshing to see your videos. A 20 yr old can pull off anything. The IT eyeshadows looked perfect for someone who is very pale, and honestly as a ghostly girl I wouldn't mind trying them. The face products get big 💗 they're so pretty!
I tried the concealer trick and it totally works. I use IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye and that is really thick and wet/tacky, and it holds that status for quite a bit. This trick you suggested is my new favorite thing--I love it. I press a small amount in and then do a few things and when I come back the BB it is such a nice finish. Slightly more opaque and easier to blend out.
Such a beautiful look, Emily! I love the Amuse Bushe lipstick formula, but I really liked the past sets when they came in the black twist up, skinny sticks in the red tin.
my second baby, I went to an appointment a day or two before her due date. They were like have you had any contractions? Nope. Nothing? Nope. No pain at all? Nope, now I was a bit concerned.. lol Well your 100% effaced and six centimeters dialated😯! So that is odd with no pain at all😆😆 . What an easy delivery she was the though😊 Wish that could happen every time. I had 2 more after her , the only thing you can plan on us nothing is ever predictable 😁 So excited for you & your family 💖
My sister and I have played the word/song game for decades. The difference is that when it’s your turn you must choose a word from your opponents last song. Also, I really think the softer eye look is beautiful on you.
One other thing, in the Needs palette there's a dark color with a bit of sparkle to it. Would you include that in an eye look sometime? I don't feel confident with it. Your look today was soft and pretty!

When you loose your mucus plug it lets u know that you have about two weeks until go time. If theres blood then 48 hrs.. Thats what my doctor told me and he was on point every time. I'm excited for you guys..
As soon as you said “lost the mucous plug” i jammed down to look at when the video was published (i’m always just catching up) and was like “oh shes probably already goin’ in!” I know thats a different sign for everyone but for me, thats how i was induced at my dr appt - 2 times! And went into labor within a day each time. Im so excited for you!!!!
Hi Emily! That is so thoughtful of you towards the nurses and other personnel. I like to bring fruits, wraps tray from Costco or fall coffee Keurig k cup from & pastries from Aldi. I think that they might like that too. I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better. Blessings.

We nurses are suckers for snacks of any kind! Hydrating and soothing lip balm are appreciated. But for the most part anything to munch on😀 Although we don't expect anything we are happy to receive. Good luck with baby boy and can't wait to see the girls reaction💕💕

With my 3rd son I went a little over 2 1/2 ‐3 weeks after losing my plug & I was also dilated 41/2 centimeters the whole time. My labors were very long with the first 2 BUT I was absolutely miserable those weeks of "false labor". Sending prayers & love for you, baby, & family! Can't wait to see him & hear his name.

One of my aunts made some hand knit preme outfits as I was told he would be. I got my son to his due date. With a heavy heart I gave them to the nurses station to get used. They loved them!!! Another idea My aunt is a superb knitter and they were so beautiful and she's getting older, wished I could've kept them. When I told her what I had done she thanked me. Knowing they would go to families that needed them. She's a great aunt. Hospitals are short on preme and multiple births hats and stuff. Where I live babies still get hand knit hats when they're born. 💖💖💖
With my third, I was 2cm dialated for forever, was overdue 2 weeks! I never went into labor naturally with any of my 3, they were all 2 weeks over and I had to be induced for all of them! They were all over 10lbs though, so maybe that’s why lol! Good luck with everything, Emily!

For the nurses station basket, including a hand cream would be nice. Working in a hospital requires constant hand washing, and it can be very drying! So kind of you to think of the nurses! Wishing you all the best with arrival of the new baby ❤️🤗

I feel like as I get older (I just turned 43!) super light weight foundations look way better on me than super full coverage foundations. I've been enjoying tinted moisturizers again too. You have to try Colourpops new Pretty Fresh tinted moisturizer. I really love it!!!

I never noticed losing my plugs. Just FYI, my boys all came exactly one week early and my daughter was two weeks late!? 😂 Girls! The IT eyeshadows looked perfect for someone who is very pale, and honestly as a ghostly girl I wouldn't mind trying them. The face products get big 💗 they're so pretty!

I tried the concealer trick and it totally works. I use IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye and that is really thick and wet/tacky, and it holds that status for quite a bit. This trick you suggested is my new favorite thing--I love it. I press a small amount in and then do a few things and when I come back the BB it is such a nice finish. Slightly more opaque and easier to blend out.

my second baby, I went to an appointment a day or two before her due date. They were like have you had any contractions? Nope. Nothing? Nope. No pain at all? Nope, now I was a bit concerned.. lol
Well your 100% effaced and six centimeters dialated😯! So that is odd with no pain at all😆😆 . What an easy delivery she was the though😊 Wish that could happen every time. I had 2 more after her , the only thing you can plan on us nothing is ever predictable 😁 So excited for you & your family 💖
My sister and I have played the word/song game for decades. The difference is that when it’s your turn you must choose a word from your opponents last song. Also, I really think the softer eye look is beautiful on you.
One other thing, in the Needs palette there's a dark color with a bit of sparkle to it. Would you include that in an eye look sometime? I don't feel confident with it. Your look today was soft and pretty!

As soon as you said “lost the mucous plug” i jammed down to look at when the video was published (i’m always just catching up) and was like “oh shes probably already goin’ in!” I know thats a different sign for everyone but for me, thats how i was induced at my dr appt - 2 times! And went into labor within a day each time. Im so excited for you!!!!
Hi Emily! That is so thoughtful of you towards the nurses and other personnel. I like to bring fruits, wraps tray from Costco or fall coffee Keurig k cup from & pastries from Aldi. I think that they might like that too. I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better. Blessings.
